Piranha: (The Oregon Files) by Clive Cussler & Boyd Morrison | Summary & Analysis

This is a Summary & Analysis of Piranha. German scientist Gunther Lutzen meets his demise during the 1902 volcanic eruption of Mt. Pelée on the Caribbean island of Martinique. He is a passenger on the ship Roraima which is docked in the harbor when the blast occurs, scorching him and the entire town to death. Lutzen’s scientific journal is salvaged, a diary that contains vital information for technological advancement far ahead of its time.

Clive Cussler’s Piranha is the tenth installment in his successful series The Oregon Files. Centered on another adventure with Juan Cabrillo and his crew aboard the high-tech ship, the Oregon, it has all the action and intrigue Cussler’s readers have come to expect and enjoy.
Piranha boasts an impressive cast of characters, a collection of the best intellectual military minds in the United States who have all been organized together into one team called the Corporation. Although each character serves a specific purpose, it is a bit of a stretch to believe that they all are not only tactically brilliant but equally adventurous.
