A curse saves him. That curse makes him even more dangerous...and he likes it. To him, a new life as a vampire is an appealing thing.
The man who turned him into this great, fearsome warrior tasks him to watch over and protect his mortal daughter, Nadia. But the beautiful Nadia puts Max’s skills as a knight to the test, captures his heart, and bewitches him with eyes of emerald green. A power more potent than any magical curse.
Inspired by ballads of Robin Hood, Nadia is a bit too rebellious for her own good. And with a kind heart, she is much too trusting and forgiving for Max’s peace of mind, because those attributes get her into a great deal of peril. Deadly creatures surround her—some of them are there to protect her, and some want to lure her into a trap—and she has no idea...
But can a knight in shining armor heal a lady’s heart when her love for the legend of Robin Hood is used against her?
Cheri Schmidt writes fantasy/paranormal romance and is the author of Fateful, Fractured, Forever, and The Order of Curse-Bound Knights.
Cheri will say that her head is a very crowded place, and she wishes she could write faster. She will also tell you that if you do not like glittering fairies, hot vampires with British accents, knights in shining armor, the dashing Mr. Darcy, girly-girls who wear skirts, or large amounts of snogging, then perhaps her stories are not for you.
Once again Schmidt has amazingly executed a love story that spans a lifetime. Many only wish for a one of a kind love to stand the test of time, but with Nadia and Maximilian theirs withstands many. Knight in shining armour meets hopeless romantic, readers will be frantically turning pages to see what will become of these two as they tirelessly triumph whatever comes their way while learning that no matter what it must be done together!
This author has produced a book that is true to the time frames encountered while continuously making readers feel like they are a part of the story. It is difficult bringing the human and vampire realm together without seeming fake, but Schmidt did not disappoint in successfully achieving the near impossible since Twilight. If this is your first experience with this author’s books – be prepared for excellence. If you have experienced books by Cheri Schmidt, this one will be a favorite in your collection!
If you are a fan of Fateful Series you will love this!!!! The Order of the Curse Bound Knights takes us inside Max transformation from badass knight to formidable vampire. Max only weakness is the raven haired beauty Nadia. Max is willing to move heaven and hell to make Nadia his, but will it be enough for the Nadia?
I couldn't put this down and found myself reading as I was making lunch and supper. I love the fact that we get to see a peak in Ethan life as he is changed, and it certainly puts things into perspective about why Max is the way he is in Fateful. While I highly recommend reading Fateful first, you could read this alone and not be lost.
If you are a fan of Vampires, or old fashion romance, with a little bit of action and surprise this is a book that should be on your list to read. What are you waiting for click the button! You wont regret it!
As with the rest of this series it was a total unique twist that shows the transformation of Max to a vampire. I loved Max & Nadia romance I so enjoy humor in a story this author brings you the best giving you a wonderful plot, great romance along with thrills and adventure. This story fills in where the other left of it will answer all your questions. Again it is wonderful to have a story you can share with your teens that you can both enjoy and discuss. Somehow I have read these out of order but I do plan on going back to read the others. I believe I might get the audio which for me brings the story more to life. If you are look for a different kind of twist that you can get lost in this is the series for you. ************************
The Order of Curse-Bound Knights is a gorgeous all consuming read I was totally hooked from the first page!!! Get ready to fall in love with Max & Nadia and be immersed into a world of epic romance humor heart stopping thrills and Vampire fantasy!
I Loved Tristan Hunt's voice in the Audiobook!!!
Cheri Schmidt Weaves pure magic U feel like UR living the story with her characters! I Can't wait for her next book 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!!!
The story of the love of Max and Nadia told beautifully. The only thing that could have made it better was a chance to strangle an impetuous little wretch named Celeste.
This is a follow up book to the Fateful series. It tells the backstory mainly of Max and Nadia, as well as some of the other characters in the series. It's best read right after the series. I read this several years after reading the main books in the series and while most of this book could be read as a stand alone, the last few chapters the reader would be pretty lost if she hadn't read the Fateful series recently. I liked this book. It just felt like parts of it were rushed. The villain was dispatched too easily, and when the author gets to the part where Ethan comes in, it almost seems like I was reading a different story. The story becomes jarring as the author leaps from time period to present day in a few chapters. It also seemed out of character for Max and Nadia to not have been married before the Fractured series.
There is some intense kissing in this including where clothes are unbuttoned and the characters are laying on top of each other, no sex though. I wouldn't recommend this for younger teens.
The Order of Curse-Bound Knights is the story of two side characters in The Fateful Vampire Series, Max and Nadia. Two things I really liked about the story were the author's use of words and phrases to take me to another time period, and finding out more about Ethan's background. Also Nadia loves the ballads of Robin Hood and it got me interested in reading his adventures myself. The novel would be best read after The Fateful Trilogy. Intimacy: kissing, some heavy, with a couple of scenes of the couple lying on top of each other.
The story was moving along nicely then it seemed to jump big gasps in time and obviously a lot happened that I had no clue of, making me confused. I'm not sure if it's because this is the first book I read in the series or if the author did that on purpose. Other then that the story was okay for me. I would've liked more tension, drama and action but that's just my personal tastes. I don't read many historical romances but I would guess that those who do would probably enjoy this.
