Tempt My Heart (Tempt My Heart #1) by Danielle Jamie
Can temptation finally bring her happiness?
OMG! I knew I wanted to read this as I loved Danielle's Savannah series and I couldn't resist Storm Bailey on the cover - he has the most beautiful blue eyes, just like our Rock Star, Jordan Valentine! This is a stand alone new book just released! It will have you bawling your eyes out, falling for the cocky rock star, and cheering our heroine, Brittan, onto victory and happiness. And now a bit about the story...
The prologue starts off a little in the past and tells us Brittan has lost the love of her life, Cane. Then as part of her therapy she goes back and remembers all their good times and bad from the time they meet until he dies. Now remember back on page one, Danielle tells us Cane is going to die. Still, I cried myself to sleep ~ I was so hooked on Cane even though I knew what was coming it still ripped my heart out. But don't despair, it isn't all sad ... as we come back to present day we meet the cocky guitar playing Jordan who will be touring with Brittan and her bandmates. The attraction is instant, though they fight it ... watch them battle their wills and see if temptation can bring Brittan the happiness she deserves and that Cane wants her to have.
Favorite passages:
- He took my breath away with just one look and stole my heart all at the same time.
- "I love you too. I want nothing more than to take your hand and walk you to the other side, but baby, it’s not your time. I didn’t put my life on the line and die just so you could throw your life away."
- "For right now, we’re just having fun, and I guess we’ll see where things go. But I hope that it will lead to more." I can’t believe I actually said that out loud at a concert.
- "Like I told Roxie earlier, baby I’ll take you any way I can have you. If that means I only get a piece of your heart, then I’ll cherish that one piece as if it is the most priceless item on the god d*mn planet."

Heart on Fire by Brandy L. Rivers
Leave the mask, the boots and gloves too!
I loved this story. There were so many twists and turns possible, but never the ones I thought would happen did -- Brandy sent us down other paths. I loved that it wasn't predictable. Sometimes people have trouble changing things up, but Brandy wrote this contemporary romance wonderfully. There was intrigue, romance (of course), comedy, tragedy, and even a couple slimy evil villains. In a few short pages she had us hot for the phantom and later we were in love after a chapter. And now a bit about the story...
A few months after dumping her college boyfriend when she wouldn't bend to his will and become his trophy wife, Mila decides to do something wild! She goes to a frat costume party and goes home with the first man she meets, the Phantom of the Opera. She is dressed as the devil, complete with feathered mask to give her the courage to be bold. The devil and phantom keeps their masks on all night and never exchange names. Then Mila wakes early in the morning and sneaks out - not regretting her actions, but only wanting that one night of wild abandon. The story picks back up 6 years later, Mila and Cherish, her 5 year old daughter, have moved to a new town where she will be the high school science teacher. She never gave up on her dreams like her scumbag boyfriend wanted and now she is living them! Her students love her and she loves Cherish, if only she had learned the name of the phantom....

- If you have a sweet tooth, you can come over and get a bite.
"I'm only asking for a chance. You'll never find out if I'm different if you don't at least let me try."
- "Do you have cheese? The good cheese, not the yucky kind?" Mila translated, "Good cheese is cheddar. Bad is American."

This is a fun little taste ( so to speak) from a multitude of authors... i think that there is something in here for everyone...i enjoyed the couple of chapters from each...and have purchased other books from this.

Do you sometimes read the samples, before one-clicking? That is pretty much what this is! :) This is an amazing anthology of teases of some of the most amazing books & their authors!! A perfect way to get to know new authors & will give you a bit of a taste of what they have to offer.

The title doesn't like the stories tease you
Some of the books were no longer available for purchase. Loved the collection of stories though. Can't wait til I get some money to purchase the ones that are available
