Timber believes true love only belongs in fairy tales, but reluctantly agrees to attend the annual social event of the season and meet her blind date for the evening: a werewolf.
Rock doesn't need the complication of a human mate, not with the present pack alpha stepping down, a violent struggle to claim the position a few short days away, and a deadly rival set upon taking the throne for himself.
Will they pull together as fate deemed in order to save the pack and themselves or will the difference between them prove too large a hurdle to overcome? Can Timber open her heart to a part time fur bearer and recognize love can exist if only given a chance?
Significantly expanded and re-edited re-release story.
A blind date decided by the toss of a coin. Can Timber’s life get much worse? Is this really how she wants to start her new year? I enjoyed Tails: Werewolf by Cheyenne Meadows. Timber was happiest at home with a good book or at least she thought she was. When she meets Rock, she finds herself wondering what she is missing. However it doesn’t come easy to Timber. She has held her heart close and isn’t sure if she is ready to trust or allow anyone in. I loved how real Ms. Meadows made Timber. I could totally understand her fears. I wanted her to have the courage to take a chance but knew it would be difficult. Trusting and allowing someone to have the power to hurt you isn’t easy and Ms. Meadows didn’t skimp on that detail. Timber wasn’t the only one that needed to grow. Rock may be alpha but he has some misconceptions to move pass. Finding out his mate was human is a big one. He had to fight to get a chance and part of that battle is within himself. I loved his determination and his acceptance of his flaws. He was willing to learn and grow in order to make Timber comfortable not only with him but what she means for him. She wasn’t willing to fall into his lap even though she was attracted to him. She wanted and expected more from him. Ms. Meadows allowed Rock and Timber to meet in the middle as they learned to accept each other. This was a nice read. It felt real and believable with unexpected twists.
This one is about Rockwell (Wolf) and Timber (Human). It's the second part of the blind date that Ginger set Char & Timber up for the New Year's Eve company party. Really cute, likeable characters. Really liked her name (Timber), different without sounding made up. Story moves right along, and really liked Rocky & his family. They made for some funny moments. For the most part, I like Timber, but at times her characters seemed to change then change back. Some of her comments feel like her and some feel forced to try to be witty to match the wit from the first book. This book has more action/suspense then the first book. More time dealing with the bad guy. Didn't care much for the scenes with the three ladies at the office. The scenes were okay, just a tad boring and at times felt like they were added later. I did like that Char & Ginger carried over from the first book. Would have liked it better if the brothers also carried over, even if it was just a mention or if it was at the New Year's Eve party. I really liked how much the bad guy was in the story. Made for more suspense and conflict. Nice that she didn't just blindly accept him and jump into bed quickly. He had to earn it, and woo her. Plenty of witty humor, and cute scenes. Would like to read more of the characters from both book.
Timber is set up on a date for New Years Eve with Rock and when she meets him she finds a hot shifter who claims she is his mate. Rock is about to challenge to be the pack's ultimate alpha and he needs his mate by his side, he just never thought or wanted his mate to be a human. He never imagined that once he found his mate he would have to convince her and work so hard for her to agree to be his mate. As Timber and Rock spend more time together Rock's cousin who also wants the top alpha spot has set his sights on Timber. Once he realized she was Rock's mate he knew he'd found an easy way to stop Rock. Now Rock not only has to worry about his cousins schemes but making Timber agree to be his mate. This is book two of the Coin Toss series and though it is better than book one it still didn't live up to what I hoped it would be. I believed the characters cared about each other but this book wasn't everything that I thought it could have been. I loved Rock's dad he was funny and my favorite character, but we again get the constant animal presence in this book and a heroine who is so independent she almost misses the love of her life because of her thoughts on woman and men. Overall it was better than book one but not what I was hoping for when I read the books description.
Timber is a human that has never had a male in her life. Her grandma and mother never had a man stick around with them after they found out that they were pregnant. So you can understand why she is a very independent woman that doesn't need a man.
Rock is an alpha werewolf and knows as soon as he smells Timber that she is the woman for him. Needless to say that he has his work cut out for him when he tells her that she is his mate. He really doesn't need it because he has to fight to be an alpha to take his dads place.
I love the plot of the story. I enjoyed the whole book and didn't want to put it down until I had finished. I love reading a book that has a hot alpha male in it.
An okay read. Little boring at times. The main enjoyment I got out of it was Timber. Her comments were hilarious. And who would have known that wolf shifters would grow to love pet cats eh?
