Luna Ars does NOT disappoint; I couldn´t put the book down for even a second.
The book picks up right where we left off. Definitely recommend reading the triggers, but for me it was just amazing.
I am really glad to have discovered this author and i will be reading every book of hers I found from now on

This is the second book in a series, book 1 is KNEEL LITTLE CROW. The story picks up from where the first book ended and I could not put it down, Lots of triggers, not for the faint of heart. I can't wait to find out where the story continues.

So so so good! I loved every second of this book. I love a book where the ending makes you want to just throw the book until you can read the next one. The fmc has such good growth in this book. She is smart, courageous, and everything you need a strong woman in a book. Cannot wait to read the next book!I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The plot flows effortlessly, and I would rate it 4.5 out of 5 stars. There are at least thirty trigger warnings, including my top five: forced proximity, explicit sexual content, dubious consent themes, medical trauma, and stalking. To fully appreciate this book, you must read "Kneel, Little Crow."
The story unfolds in the inner sanctuary of the court, where judgments and punishments are meted out to lawbreakers. At this point, three hundred serpents are kneeling as Maggie is carried out of the room in Lucian's arms, having taken nine lashes meant for Zayn, who was punished for touching Lucian's woman.
In my opinion, it's a darker, snarky retelling of "Beauty and the Beast." Imagine a beast's castle, complete with stairs and paintings that seem to follow your every move. Instead of a beast, we have a reaper named Lucian, who has his own agenda to keep Maggie for himself. The three hundred serpents enforce the laws of the chamber. Add in a "Why Choose?" dilemma between Lucian and Zayn, and you have a true page-turner. I even read this book to my spouse, who commented that some scenes were very vivid.
Two quotes that stands out to me from the book were: "Pain is an efficient translator. It turns entitlement into memory." This is so true!! and "The pub empties like rats leaving a church after hearing God cough."
I cannot wait for the conclusion of the this story. Luna you did a great job, keep it up.

I’m officially invested in this series. *Kneel, Little Crow* left me curious, but this book pulled me in so much more. It picks up right where the first book ends and throws Maggie even deeper into Lucian’s world, and things get darker from there.
Maggie really shines in this one. She’s smart, courageous, and finally starting to understand her own strength instead of simply surviving what’s thrown at her. Lucian is still possessive and dangerous, and the tension between him, Maggie, and Zayn keeps getting more complicated.
I loved the gothic feel of the story, especially the eerie court and castle-like setting. There’s a constant feeling that something is lurking just beneath the surface, and with all the twists, violence, and darker themes, this definitely isn’t a fluffy read.
There are **a lot** of trigger warnings, so definitely check those before starting. And read *Kneel, Little Crow* first because this story builds directly from it.
