The Burning Empire #2
Curse The Left Hand
Not yet published
Expected 6 May 27Fate is complicated.
Elegy Ahn learned that lesson the hard way when the augurs prophesied that she would lead her people to victory over their enemies, the Talusar — and her life quickly unraveled.
Now fate has put her on a spaceship hurtling towards an unknown destination. Now fate reveals itself to her through visions as a newly-made augur herself.
As Elegy gets closer to the doorway in the stars, she has no more clarity into what waits on the other side or how this spacefaring adventure will lead to the defeat of the Talusar. And even worse, she is plagued by visions of death and destruction, as cryptic as they are disturbing. Until she sees one that inspires hope: Theren, her fated love, happy and healthy.
A galaxy of unknowns lies between Elegy and that future. But she’ll do anything to reach it — even if it means deciding between protecting her heart and protecting her people.
