I love love love loved this book! This was such a cool concept that I haven’t ever read before in a hockey romance. Our main characters Cash and Scottie have made their way to my favourite book couple list🙈
The idea that he’s a hockey player and she’s his agent, and they go on this road trip together where they’re meeting with all these different ex hockey players and coaches was genuinely so much fun. And as they spend more time in this forced proximity they realise they’re falling in love 🥹🥹🥹 please! And the post cards UGH so cute.
THE FOUND FAMILY. I’m seriously a sucker for the found family trope so any book with it in immediately takes a special place in my heart. I feel like it just forces you to feel a deeper connection with the characters because you feel a part of the world they’re in. Characters like Dean and Nico just make it feel so much more realistic to me. I love them.
My favourite part of the entire book is probably how realistic they are as a couple. They understand that love takes sacrifice and compromise, and that not everything will go smoothly or perfectly. I particularly felt myself connect with Scottie a lot with her impulsive and almost short-tempered nature. Which honestly made me feel very seen.
I also really enjoyed that we got to learn bits of each of their pasts / family lives, and to be honest I would have loved to see more! I love a deep romance🤭 I feel like there was more to Scottie’s past and I wouldn’t have minded having even more in there about it!
Honourable mention to Noah, one of the side characters. HE WAS SO SWEET🥹 him in the epilogue actually like melted my heart a little bit it was so cute.

I finished reading Unmanageable by Soldera Krauze, and I absolutely loved it! ♥️
Let's break it down:
🥅 Unmanageable is an ice hockey romance between an NHL goalie and his agent, featuring a chaotic found family, a road trip, and some very well-hidden secrets. It's book 2 in the Unlovable series, following Uncoachable.
🥅 Our MMC: Finnian O'Connell aka Cash
Cash is the sweetest, most lovable MMC! He's funny, protective of the people he loves, emotionally intelligent, and completely head over heels for his agent.
Throughout the book, we get to watch his feelings for Scottie deepen, but what I loved most was the way he handled her past trauma. He never tried to fix her, control her, or force her to heal on his timeline. He simply gave her the space, patience, and support she needed while loving her exactly as she was.
And honestly? Cash has my whole heart 🥹
🥅 Our FMC: Scottie Reed aka The Shark
Scottie is so much more than the pain she's carrying from her past. She's The Shark—the scary, fiercely competent agent who commands respect from general managers and players alike. She's always in control, always three steps ahead, and absolutely nobody wants to be on the receiving end of her professional wrath 😂 But beneath that intimidating facade is a woman who's scared, guarded, and carrying wounds she's spent years keeping buried.
I loved watching those two sides of Scottie exist together. She's scary and scared, sharp and soft, stubborn and vulnerable, and so much more than the walls she's built around herself. And Cash never tries to tear those walls down or “fix” her. He simply gives her the space and safety to lower them herself. Watching Scottie allow herself to be seen, loved, and supported without losing the fierce, independent woman she is was one of my favorite parts of this story 🥹

Smooth, easy to follow, witty, and full of the kind of banter that had me laughing one minute and emotionally destroyed the next.

Soldera really said, “You loved these characters? Great. Now I'm going to make you SOB.” 😭
This book wrecked me emotionally more than once. There were moments where I genuinely had to stop and process what I had just read, only for the story to put my heart back together and then somehow break it all over again.
The road trip, the secrets, the found family, the romance, the emotional healing—it all came together so beautifully.

The sweetest, most heartwarming ending I could have asked for 🥹♥️
After everything these characters went through, watching them finally get that moment of happiness was exactly what my emotionally battered heart needed.
And then, of course, Soldera had to leave us with that second epilogue and an open door into book 3 👀

I had the exact same reaction to Unmanageable that I had to Uncoachable: I absolutely loved it.
First, Callahan and Ivy stole my heart in Uncoachable, and now Cash and Scottie have completely taken over.
This series has my heart, and Soldera clearly has no intention of giving it back 😂♥️

This book wrecked me emotionally more than once. There were moments where I genuinely had to stop and process what I had just read, only for the story to put my heart back together and then somehow break it all over again.
The road trip, the secrets, the found family, the romance, the emotional healing—it all came together so beautifully.

After everything these characters went through, watching them finally get that moment of happiness was exactly what my emotionally battered heart needed.
And then, of course, Soldera had to leave us with that second epilogue and an open door into book 3 👀

First, Callahan and Ivy stole my heart in Uncoachable, and now Cash and Scottie have completely taken over.

Let me start by saying I loved this book! I’ve never read a sports romance between a hockey goalie and his agent, I was hooked from the very start, the fact that they decide to go on this life changing road trip together and are basically each other’s only company for two months straight had me swooning at the witty banter, hilarious bickering, forced proximity, yearning and vulnerability between them.
This book also dealt with some serious topics that hit waaaay close to home (so make sure to check your trigger warnings) but it handled them beautifully and with the uttermost respect, I felt like learning about Scottie’s backstory helped us understand the tough mask she always wore and the image she tried to portray so much better (chapter 26 had me ugly crying like I’ve never ugly cried before). Seeing her lower her walls being vulnerable and trusting Cash with her story after everything she went through changed something in me, she was so brave and I felt so proud of her for all of her courage and character growth throughout the book. The way Cash stood by her side during those moments healed something in me, he was so tender, understanding and patient it made me love him even more.
Don’t even get me started on Cash, he was such a complex character, at a first glance his life was perfect, but there’s always so much more than what meets the eye, there was so much sadness hiding behind his smile and his jokes, my heart broke a little bit for him because he didn’t want anyone to know the truth about his family issues and thought he needed to carry it alone.
The relationship between Cash and Scottie was amazing, the banter, yearning, witty comebacks and sizzling chemistry was off the charts, but their relationship wasn’t perfect by any means and I loved how realistic that aspect was, they bickered but they got over it (eventually) and they kept showing up for each other when they needed it the most.
Last but not least the found family in this book is perfection, the way everyone (the entire team included) always showed up for one another when things got tough was amazing, I felt such a strong connection to all of the side characters because of it, I truly felt like I was a part of the friend group.
If you like books about found family, banter, road trips, forced proximity, but also about surviving trauma, healing and growing as a person then this is the book for you! Everything Soldera writes I devour! She’s quickly become one of my auto-buy authors and I’m so excited to see what comes next, the way this book ended left me wanting to reach for book 3 immediately, I can’t wait to read Jenna’s story! It’s safe to say this series has made it to be my absolute favorite hockey series of all time!
There’s just always something about finding out the comedic relief, sparkly, dorky character is a lot more broken than they seem. And it always just makes them that much more loveable.
Actually, there’s a phenomenon where exactly these comedic relief characters get their own books and suddenly get exclusively sad, losing all their character. But with my precious Finny? That did not happen at all. The teasing, banter and inappropriate jokes were still there. There was nothing taken away, only depth added. And Soldera truly did that masterfully.
However, the star of this book for me was Scottie. As someone who has always been terrified of turning out like my dad and has been working their ass off to get out and get away, yet cannot get rid of the inner child that craves his approval, I keep Scottie extremely close to my heart. Like.. super close. She tucked into my arteries.
Also, I just love a girl that HUMBLES men and women in law!!
I felt their love so deep in my soul, the way Finny genuinely fought to understand and uplift her really got me as an “angry daughter” myself. They’re just so pure and loveable.
There honestly was just one thing in the conflict that I didn’t love, which I can’t really say cause it’s a spoiler, but that’s literally the only thing why I didn’t give it a five!

Okay, firstly, before I even get into Cash and Scottie, can we talk about the friendships in this book?! I absolutely loved the little glimpses into Scottie and Ivy’s friendship. And that speech at the wedding? Beautiful. I genuinely shed a tear. 🥹 I love a good girl friendship just as much as I love a good bromance and Cash and Cal’s friendship was everything.
I also really loved the road trip aspect of this story. It’s not something I’ve come across loads in books and I thought it added such a fun element to the story. I loved the meeting of other hockey players on the road. Watching Cash slowly coax Scottie out of her very structured, organised and controlled lifestyle was one of my favourite parts. Seeing her loosen up, let go a little and actually experience life as the story progressed was so lovely.
Scottie’s past, especially everything surrounding her relationship with her mum, was heartbreaking to uncover. I feel like we could have been given more regarding it but I think it just emotionally invested in these characters. Seeing how deeply that affected her and how much it made her question whether she could ever be a good mum really got to me. I thought her character development throughout the book was beautifully done and honestly, the growth we saw from all of the characters made this story even more enjoyable.
And Cash… well, I’m fairly certain I have a new book boyfriend. 😂 The way he adores Scottie, challenges her and just wants her to experience more from life? I was absolutely here for it.
Overall, such a fun, emotional read with great friendships, character growth, romance and a road trip thrown into the mix. 💕

She is a badass through and through. She gives I can do it myself energy that I feel resonated in me but she melts at the thought of someone else handling stuff for her (after putting up a fight obviously) (relatable or what) I really liked her backstory with her ex, gave a lot of depth to her and why she reacts in certain ways.
Overall I really liked this story, both characters were written extremely well. For my personal taste it was a little bit too much of a slow burn, without me really seeing any reciprocation from Scottie to Cash until over the half way mark.

I absolutely loved this book,it had the best banter l’ve ever read👍🏻l laughed out loud on more than one occasion because the witty retorts were that good! I feel like l’ve been both Scottie and Cash at various points in my life.l’ve been guarded and emotionally unavailable and l’ve also been a big presence that hides behind humour.
I loved that Scottie was so resistant but was clearly attracted to Cash.Trying to fight those feelings was futile because Cash knew exactly how to play the game - and boy did he play!😉 l found the vulnerability so endearing on both parts,it was beautiful to watch that unfold.l found that the more difficult topics were dealt with respectfully and with great care and compassion. The Found Family element was one of my favourite parts because they really were completely chaotic and that’s exactly the kind of family l grew up in.
The little added extras like the tattoo,the postcards and the ‘Goalie Mobile’ brought something quite special to the story. The library scene had me kicking my feet! I’ll never look at a couple sat together in a library in the same way again!
Towards the end of the book l could only think of one thing - this book would make a great movie. I’d be first in the queue if that ever happened.
Overall,it was a fantastic read and l’d highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a Sports Romance,or just romance in general☺️

But also the quiet gentle love they had for each other, especially Cash for Scottie in the beginning was what had my heart doing loops. They are hands down one of my favourite couples, and I know this book is going to be one of my comfort reads. There was something just so comforting in this book, it just felt like being wrapped up in a warm fuzzy blanket but with a tub of your favourite ice cream if that makes sense?? Every time I thought “oh, this is for sure my favourite moment” I’d read the next chapter and there would immediately be a challenge for that title.
I have so much love for both these characters, I just want to give Scottie the biggest hug, she is so undeniably strong and she is a role model in every sense of the word. I saw myself so strongly in Cash it was insane.

The book follows our main characters Scottie and Cash on a summer road trip. I loved getting to follow their story on the road and watching them accept each other for who they are. This book is truly something special as it reflects the complexity of us as humans. It felt as though I was really living the book, instead of just reading it. That’s because Soldera writes in a way that invokes emotion, and boy was this book emotional. Empaths, how are we feeling?
Another thing I really loved about this book was the friendships. The quiet acceptance, support, and love showed the honest bond between the characters because they aren’t just friends. They’re family. They knew that Cash and Scottie were delusional and weren’t afraid to call them on it.
I’m not sure what else to say about this book other than I loved it.

These characters have quickly found themselves a lifelong place in my heart and I’m ok with that. I love Soldera’s writing style and how each tiny detail brings characters like Scottie and Cash to life, so much so you end up feeling like you know them in real life.
This book has everything you need from an ice hockey romance! Add in a road trip full of chaos, hilarity and the development of the best, most desperately rooted for romance EVER!!! I laughed, cried, shouted, air hugged and swooned more times than necessary…actually I did it at all twice 😂
It an absolute winner that needs adding to your TBR instantly.

When Scottie and Cash met in Uncoachable, I was an instant fan. Now they have there own book.
Scottie is an talent agent for Finnian (Cash). Cash is the goalie for the Boston icehockey team, who had been having some shoulder problems. He decided it would be good to spend the summer training all through USA, but he wants Scottie to join him.
It is such a great romance story where icehockey plays a role. The trauma, the emotional and the funny bits are all written so well.
I had tears in my eyes, more then ones.
Soldera pays attention to the smallest details, such as their names with each chapter. I love her writing style. Been onboard since beta reading for uncoachable, then arc read that and now this book. She is so talented and just pops books out left and right. Each so good!

Oh my gosh. I loved reading this book.
Cash and Scottie are a very realistic couple with witty comebacks and a great story. Cash is a hockey goalie and Scottie is his agent. Overtime, there relationship moves from professional to friends and finally to lovers. The chapter headings matching the changes in their relationship was excellent.
The witty comebacks and statements in every chapter had me hooked from the jump. I definitely wrote down a few quotes that I enjoyed. The found family was great especially having all the players be there for Cash.
I am a huge fan of love notes and enjoyed reading what they wrote when they visited different states.

Unmanageable contained elements that made me laugh, smile, cry. It really did have everything. I adored witnessing Scottie and Cash open up to each other emotionally even more over the course of the book. The humour between the characters felt like such an accurate depiction of reality it made me think I was joking along with them. It was also lovely to see Ivy and Callahan’s wedding after getting to know them so well in the previous novel. The found family absolutely suck out and made it that more enjoyable. I cannot wait until the next novel releases in the future! I am so grateful to be given an opportunity to read this arc!!!

Soldera has a way of writing that completely pulls you into the story and makes you feel the characters are real, I am completely emotionally invested in them and desperately wish they were real!
I throughly enjoyed Scottie and Cash’s story, the road trip was so much fun! The banter was just impeccable.
A definite must read! Highly recommend!

This book is just absolute amazing! It’s even better than the first one. The characters are made for each other. The banter makes you laugh out loud and giggle as well as kick your feet. The progress is amazing and you even learn something while reading this book. Scottie and Cash are made for each other. Cash takes it all and is an absolute hero in my eyes and when he needs someone Scottie is there! Also the found family melts my heart!

(ARC REVIEW) 3.75⭐️⭐️⭐️ this was SUCH a fun read. I love couples that wind each other up and that is exactly the dynamic between Cash & Scottie. I love a road trip relationship & having some of the coaches be a little eccentric and weird was a funny touch. Also the banter and vibes of the friendship group is just perfect. Also the spice was everything, who knew I’d get a library scene in a sports romance 😛😛😛😛😛

What can I even say here that the author hasn’t already heard through rabid voice notes? I *loved* this book. I loved that Cash saw Scottie and in turn made the reader feel seen.
I loved the found family/team aspect. That hospital scene? I sobbed.
And the spice? The library scene? Impeccable.
Five stars. Now I’m just waiting for my boy Noah’s book.

I honestly love this book. It made me laugh cry and want to go on a road trip with cash too. I love how it moves and how the characters interact with each other. I’ve beta and arc read this book and it’s been a pleasure. I’ve loved it both times round.
