Not bad. While this isn't as good as MTMTE or some of the other series it is pretty nice. I am probably a little older than the target audience so my taste might be more discriminating than a kid's would be.
The first thing I noticed is the art is a little off. I don't want to sound mean but it looks a little sloppy. I read in the back of the book that it is that artist's first time doing line art as opposed to her usual job of coloring artwork. I have a feeling that she will improve as time goes on and I look forward to that.
I really needed to read something more 'cheery' after all of the non-fiction books I have been reading so this certainly fit that bill. It's a story about how a Decepticon invades a theme park and the good guys saving the day.
I like the characters from this new series a lot. Having Bumblebee as the leader is a new spin. I also really like Strongarm because she is a different kind of female character. She's tough but also has a need for order which reminds me a little of Ultra Magnus from the Prime series.
If you are looking for a light hearted read or are just a big fan of Transformers then this would be good for you. If you want something more serious go with MTMTE. This series is probably best enjoyed by children because it is fun and not as violent as MTMTE.
This was done better than I thought it would be. The art makes all the characters look really cute and I wasn't expecting much since this is based off the TV series, but the way it ended made me want to continue the series.
Know why?
Because this is the bridge between Transformers Prime and this Robots in Disguise series. Yep, Ultra Magnus and the gang make an appearance. Now, I need to start collecting.
Not as good as the original. But shows some promise
Interesting take on the classic comic. Liked the personalities of the characters, particularly Sideswipe, a character underutilized in the original comics.
This was a cute one-off story featuring these characters. I haven't watched a lot of this show, so all the more if felt like this piece still stands well enough on its own. It's a quick showcase of how the characters work together with some good bits here and there.
It wasn't bad but no desire to continue either. 3.5 stars because I don't feel it is a waste of time and certainly not a waste of money since it is free.
