In Denial, book 1 (book 1) Ella Ferguson woke up in Italy with amnesia. A stranger, treasure hunter and head of The Underground of treasure hunters, Kayden Wilkens, Hawk, claimed to have found her and made it his mission to protect her. While their attraction brewed it became a race for answers of what happened, who she is and who is out to hurt her?
Demand, book 2 continues Ella’s quest for answers. Her connection with Kayden intensifies with steamy nights of him possessing her and days cocooned in his castle due to his fierce protectiveness. Her returning memory is affording some truths only to raise new questions. Soon Ella is forced to doubt everyone and everything, even Kayden and his motives.

Demand picks up exactly where Denial ended. Kayden and Ella are in the shower, and as the water washes over them the lies are stripped away. With Ella’s memory still failing, she wants to trust Kayden but she is shaken and unsure. Although Kayden is the "boss" of the underground "hunters", Ella has his heart in a vise. Now he just has to convince her that she is safe.
"I am a blank space, and it's infuriating. I want my memories back..."Ella, still struggling with amnesia, is now blacking out as the memories are starting to seep in. The questions continue to mount as Ella tries to climb her way out of the rabbit hole! Despite the heartbreak and the pain, Ella is strong and determined to overcome whatever is thrown her way!

Kayden is quite the hero and the way he cares for Ella kept me swooning the entire read. Ella is a strong character full of wit and remains true to herself (even if she is still trying to figure out who "she" really is.) Kayden is my favorite type of hero. He is tattooed, dominant in the bedroom, caring, and "in charge"! With these amazing characters, the sultry writing and the complex plot Demand was a sheer delight! Although I am dying for the next installment in this series, thankfully this ending left us in a good place!!!!
Overall, Demand is a must read! With the unbelievable mix of Mafia, the Underground, corrupt police, the steamy sex, complex characters, and the romantic setting of Italy, this is one series you do not want to miss!

This series has turned out to be so freaking addicting and with every book I feel satisfied, but still can't wait for more. With a series there is always this fear that you will forget some of the past stories and feel lost when you start the next book, that is not the case here.
Demand begins exactly where Denial ended and we are immediately thrust back into that shower scene with Ella demanding to know truth.
So much has happened in this series and I don't want to spoil anything. Instead, I will just tell you my feels. I love how the story moves so quickly and has so much suspense, but also this huge connection and love between Kayden and Ella. While I love the intrigue, mystery and suspense I am in love with how they have grown together and become more. Their connection is real and genuine and unconditional.
I always say I am not a huge suspense reader, but then I pick these up and just want more and more. I love how throughout this trilogy we are learning bits and pieces about the entire mafia, mob and The Underground. Every chapter we get a little peek of how everything plays together and seeing Ella'a past come to light has me eager to turn the page.
This series is a quick read, because you will be anxious to turn the page and learn more. It's also sexy and hot as sin, with a real love story involved. If you are looking for a sexy, mysterious book/series this is for you!

Demand starts right where Denial (book #1 Careless Whispers series) left off. Ella is in an electrifying situation where she’s quite literally holding the gun and demanding answers. However, the world in which she woke up from her amnesia isn’t that simple and most answers lead to more questions. Her mind and emotions are in shock and chaos, something that triggers flashbacks throughout the story.
These memories help her start to piece parts of her past but not enough to paint a complete picture, highlighting her doubts and the plot’s intrigue. As external sources work to threaten her and Kayden, her determination to love, trust and protect him strengthens and more pieces fall into place, giving Ella and us some long awaited answers. But there’s still much to learn and nothing has truly been resolved.

I absolutely loved the romance between Kayden and Ella, besides being explosively hot and expertly interlaced with suspense, these two complex characters have grown and forged what feels like a solid connection despite their rocky beginning. I can’t wait to see how it’s tested in and mostly how they succeed in the final installment of the series. Because in this book Ella proves she’s a force to be reckoned with and Kayden demonstrates that despite his tragic past love life, he knows Ella has carved a place in his heart and can handle anything his difficult life could throw at her and more.

The descriptions of everything that surrounded Ella, from her flashbacks to the places she goes to and the things she does feel almost tangible. I also enjoyed how all the different elements in their world like the Italian and French mafia, the politics and politicians, and the Underground itself are coming together in this addictive story.
Demand is book #2 in the Careless Whispers series by Lisa Renee Jones. It is part of a trilogy and should not be read as a standalone. It is a suspenseful romance full of excitement and sexiness with a somewhat appeasing ending. Told from the heroine’s point of view.

Crossing behind the couch toward the kitchen, I find myself remembering those naked, intimate moments with Kayden only a short time ago. The passion. The trust I’d felt for him. And then his words: “We both want more. Until we don’t.” The words send a surge of adrenaline and nerves through my body.
The scent of freshly brewed coffee teases my nostrils as I reach the kitchen, where I immediately find Kayden standing behind the island. But it’s not him that makes my heart lurch, as usual. It’s my gun that’s lying on the counter between us.
And when I should perhaps step backward I find myself charging forward to claim the other side of the counter.
“What is that for?”
“You thought you needed it earlier,” he says. “I want you to have it now.”
My fingers curl on the tiled counter. “Do I need it?”
“That’s for you to decide.”
“That isn’t the answer I want.”
His jaw sets hard. “If you’re expecting an answer you’ll want, you’d better pick up that gun.”
We stare at each other, a push and pull between us that has nothing to do with fear or intimidation, and everything to do with a bond we both know is being tested. “I know what you’re doing.”

“We barely knew each other at the church.”
“I’d already decided you were mine. You just didn’t know it yet.”

Demand is the highly suspenseful follow up in Lisa Renee Jones' Careless Whispers series. Picking up in the highly charged scene we left off in in Denial, Ella believes herself in a position to finally uncover some answers. But true to the spirit of the series, the answers only serve to raise further questions.
Her understandable turmoil is echoed throughout her internal dialogue, which also acts as a device to heighten intrigue, along with the flashbacks she continues to suffer. Although her feelings for Kayden feel anything but a lie, she can't help but have moments of niggling doubts. Can she trust what little she does know to be real? Can Kayden intentions be trusted? Can she even trust herself?
With outside sources such as Detective Gallo and The Italian mob in the fray, Kayden and Ella's relationship hinges on more than her memory returning, and it seems we still have a way to go before we uncover the truth behind Ella's identity. And until then, I remain on the edge of my seat.
With Demand Lisa Renee Jones weaves a story of a passionate love affair embroiled in suspicion and betrayal. It's without question a compelling read.

Ok - we all remember what happened in the first book, right?
I did a quick re-read because of my #Bookalzheimers, but I didn't really need it - LRJ does a short summary of book #1 at beginning of book #2! I loved that - I wish all authors would do that with their series. Because - BOOKALZHEIMERS SUCKS!!!!!
Ella woke up in the hospital with no memory and with hottie Kayden at her bedside!
Lots of exciting and sexy stuff happens until we end up with Ella pointing a gun at Kayden at the end of book #1.
And now at the beginning of book #2 we're right back at that gun-moment.
But of course she doesn't shoot him. She's 99% in love with him already. She just wants to know the truth. Why does Kayden have a picture of the butterfly necklace in a file? Did he lie to her and he really does know her? Or of her or whatever? But no, he says he only knows of the butterfly thing, but not that she had anything to do with it. And she believes him.
But there are still too many unanswered questions running amok in Ella's head.
And that persistent cop Gallo is not giving up either - he's constantly showing up at Kayden's castle.
This second book has lots of dangerous problems and lots of sexy moments with Ella & Kayden for us!
We have a really long way still to go until Ella and Kayden might be able to catch sight of a Happily Ever After on the horizon.... there's another book left after this one... so ... probably no Happy End yet ☺
What will happen to Ella & Kayden?
How did she end up in that alley?
Will she ever remember?
Will everybody survive???
Or will there be a horrible Cliffhanger again?
I'm not telling you that of course ☺

Phew - such a great second book in this trilogy!
I was afraid that it's been too long since book #1, but I was right back in the story with them.
And we just love those two - we sooo want Ella to find her Happy End with Kayden, but we still don't know what happened to her ... ugh - totally frustrating!
And we also still don't know all the things Kayden is keeping from Ella and we just want him to be the good guy. He is the good guy - but still - lots of secrets are flying around!
I loved this book....
It gets a bit frustrating here and there because we just want to fast forward to their Happy End - but Ella is still missing huge parts of her past and all the present problems added to that...the cop, the mafia guys, Kayden's dangerous job, Ella's past ... grrr ☺
I can't wait to read book #3 - I need them to get their Happy End!!!
DEMAND was another very sexy & mysterious & exciting & adorable Romance in this amazing trilogy! #UnPutDownable

4 Who Am I Stars Part II
Demand is the second book in the Careless Whispers series. Demand starts where Denial left off, where Ella has a gun pointed at Hawk. You might be like me and need a recap, but don’t you fret, Lisa Renne Jones writes a little quick summary of Denial in the beginning and she even has a character listing for you too. I LOVE that.
So the theme of Demand would be uncovering memories. Who is Ella? Is she good or bad? I guess good or bad is all relative, but there are so many questions I have. Why does Kayden have a picture of the necklace?
Demand is super suspenseful and at times I felt like I didn’t know who I could trust. What I loved most about this book is that Ella and Kayden relationship isn’t filled with crazy frustration, they work really well together. Of course, Kayden cares for Ella and if her life is in danger, then Ella seeking her memories will be put on back burner. I know, don’t you love it too? Kayden puts Ella first, even if she might be a danger to him. Is she a danger to Kayden? We don’t know. So many questions!!!
Demand is a crazy book with plenty of action to keep you guessing what’s going on and what will go on. Ella has blackouts and during these blackouts we get a memory from her past. It’s not always clear, but it’s something and she’s so close to discovering truths you can almost taste it! She also tries to cope with things she found out about her past and Kayden is there to help her.
There’s also the drama of Gallo, the Underground and the cartel. It’s enough to keep you on your toes.
Overall, it’s a suspenseful read and if you are a fan of the series, you will not be disappointed.

Demand is a crazy book with plenty of action to keep you guessing what’s going on and what will go on. Ella has blackouts and during these blackouts we get a memory from her past. It’s not always clear, but it’s something and she’s so close to discovering truths you can almost taste it! She also tries to cope with things she found out about her past and Kayden is there to help her.
There’s also the drama of Gallo, the Underground and the cartel. It’s enough to keep you on your toes.
Overall, it’s a suspenseful read and if you are a fan of the series, you will not be disappointed.

This is an ongoing series. You will want to read book 1 first because Demand starts exactly where it leaves off in Denial.
I really love a puzzle to figure out and so far this series has been one big puzzle. Our heroine, Ella has amnesia. As the series progresses we learn very small pieces to who she is and the danger she is in but not enough to give much away.
In the first book we don't know if Kayden, the hero is lying to Ella or not. Detective Gallo is intent to either protect Ella from him or turn her against him. He isn't exactly innocent in his hatred of Kayden. I believe by the end of this book, we finally get the answer on who she can finally trust. There is always the third book to change things.
We also learn more information about who the man is in her flashbacks that she remembers wanting so desperately to get away from. He is a problem. A big problem who Ella knows will never let her go.
I believe we finally know who exactly Ella is with a few small questions that still need answered. Book 3, Surrender should finally give us all the answers that keep being dangled in front of us.

I'm going to make a reverse review! I'm going to start with the ending because that was so brilliant! I loved it! Some pieces finally come to light, some stuff begins to make sense and I can't wait for Surrender to be available! I need more answers. I need them asap. How am I supposed to wait until December? Well I have to admit I'll probably have the book to review sooner but still I want it now
Demand starts exactly where Denial stops. And If you are someone who forget plots easily, Lisa Renee Jones made it easier by doing a small recap' of all the important things to remember. So if you are not able to read them back to back, no worries you are all set.
Just like the first book, I couldn't put it down. All the mysteries that surrender Ella and her past swallow me whole. I couldn't read fast enough to know what will happen. Once again there are a lot of characters involved and the author made me questioned every one of them. I still have some suspicion and I'm wondering which one will be true by the end. Some characters are more attaching than others and I'm worried I don't judge them at their correct worth.
Even if at times I found that the story drags a little I have no idea how it could have been different. I think the author makes quite a realistic tale of how Ella's memory is slowly coming back with triggers she can't expect. They are threats behind those revelations and there are good surprises coming along the way.
Ella & Kayden's relation goes deeper and their trust is at stack. I truly enjoyed every moment they have, every conversation felt real and their connection is genuine.
Demand is without a doubt a page turner filled with lots of action, intrigue, revelations and a sizzling hot attraction between two tormented souls.

Since the first book ended on a cliffhanger, I'm so glad that I had the second one waiting for me so I didn't have to anguish over what was going to happen. The bad part is that this too has a big fat cliffhanger. But how can I tell you how good this book is without giving away any of the good stuff?
Let me say that this author has immense writing skills in the romantic suspense novel genre. With plenty of action and something always going on, including amazing character development and steamy hot sexy scenes that you can't get enough of, Lisa Renée Jones leaves us begging for more with each book she writes.
Even though I'm frustrated in yet another cliffhanger in the series, I know I'll be first in line for when the third and final book comes out. This book is beautifully written, completely captivating, and deliciously hot. One that is not to be missed!

4.5 "Living in Fear of Forgotten Memories" Stars!
Please note that this is Book 2 of the Careless Whispers Series which must be read in chronological order. If you have not yet read book 1, Denial, please see my review for that title instead as the below review contains spoilers for the first book.
What a roller coaster ride! I'm absolutely loving the suspense and hot passion in the Careless Whispers Series! Demand continues to amp up both the heat and the level of intrigue providing us with additional golden nuggets into "Ella's" forgotten memories. With only partial glimpses, however, the anxiety level as to whether Kayden and Ella were previously allies or enemies continues to build.
Book 2 Demand picks up where Denial leaves off. Although Ella is safely tucked away in Kayden's castle she struggles with her internal demons trying to decode her memories in the race against time to hopefully discover who she is running from. Central to this question appears to be her butterfly necklace--but alas the true meaning of that necklace also eludes her.
The only thing that is undeniable is her mutual attraction to Kayden, but the closer they become, the more fearful Ella is that the answer to her questions will permanently shatter the happiness she found in Kayden's arms. Moreover, there is a detective who is not buying their cover story and he's determined to convince Ella to cooperate with him. But as Kayden and Ella try to fight off two fronts--the detective as well as the true evil that is after Ella--they become allies with an unlikely person. But is their trust in both their new ally, as well as, each other well founded?
Demand brings to light some interesting revelations that definitely had my mind working overtime. Now I'm more intrigued than ever to find out the whole story. I can't wait to continue this salacious and highly intricate suspense journey in Surrender which is scheduled to be released in early January.

I really love this author and have already read several of her books. As for Demand... it was great!! I read the first part in this series ‘Denial’ in October 2015 but it took me no time to get into the story again. I hope to read the next part sooner ;)
The story of Ella and Kayden continues. Ella’s memory is coming back piece by little piece. She still doesn’t know what happened but is an extremely, brave bad-ass!! Let’s just hope when Ella’s memory is back completely that she doesn’t turn out to be one of Kayden’s enemies ... The last part ‘Surrender’ will be available in January 2017.

I read a lot. I mean A LOT. So, when I read a series, sometimes it’s hard to remember what happened in the last book when I go to pick up the next one. But that didn’t happen to me at all with this. I remembered exactly where we left off in Denial, book one in the Careless Whispers series, because, honestly, I freakin’ loved that book! But, don’t worry if you are little fuzzy and need a refresher. The author has included a recap of Denial in the very beginning of this one. So, no re-reading necessary (unless you want to).
Picking up exactly where we left off in the first book, we start to get some answers to the mystery of Ella. In true LRJ fashion, she weaves a story that has you hanging on the edge of your seat. You can’t help but double and triple guess the motives of each and every character. Are they really who and what they portray themselves to be? Just when I thought I had a handle on who to trust, a character would say or do something that would have doubt creeping back in. It’s addicting. You can’t help but turn the page. And then the next and the next. Until I’m at the end, stunned wide-eyed by the cliffhanger revelation.
I was delighted to see some beloved characters of her previous books pop up in this one. It helped remind me of the strings that tie them all together. Really, it’s more like one big web. Vast and interconnected. The way the plot-lines of all of these characters interconnect leaves me in awe. I have no idea how she keeps it all straight, but she does. And she does it while giving you a fast paced, suspenseful story full of emotion and heat. Which is why I will definitely be reading the next one. And I’m sure I won’t need a refresher for that one, either.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this series!!! It's like the Inside Out Series all over again! I will never get enough of Ella and her Hawk! If you haven't read book one, DENIAL, stop what you're doing and purchase that sexy beast right away! The Careless Whispers Series is a true series, and must be read in order. Once again, Lisa Renee Jones puts me under her spell with DEMAND, book two in this sexy, sensual, and SUSPENSEFUL series! Nobody does mystery, twists, turns, and suspense like Jones. She has magic in her writing and it's like a drug to me. I'm addicted. I'm breathless. I'm under the influence and give absolutely zero fucks! We get more questions than answers, but what do you expect with book two out of a trilogy? Did you read Denial a while ago, but don't have time for a complete re-read? Don't you worry. Lisa sums up DENIAL at the very beginning, so you will feel like you never left the couple. As soon as I was done with that I was jumping up and down, ready to do this thing. Before I even began chapter one my heart was racing and I just knew that this second installment would be MAJOR!
I can't summarize this book without giving anything away, but we are thrust right back into an intense scene between Ella and Kayden. Betrayal will be at the tip of your tongue throughout this story, but don't be too quick to judge. We don't have all of the pieces yet. Just look out for more twists, more turns, more DEMANDING Kayden! Shivers, suspense, and sex are PACKED into this book, and all I can tell you is that, after I read it, I immediately wanted to do a re-read. OH! OH! OH! And guess what? If you're a fan of Lisa's INSIDE OUT Series...the moment...the reunion you've been waiting for...OMG! It happens!!! And it's EVERYTHING you would've hoped for. Lisa Renee Jones did GOOD for sure! She still has me in her clutches and there is NO LETTING GO in sight! With Denial and Demand out in the wild, and Surrender (book three in the series) releasing in November, you can expect multiple re-reads in my future. Demand started right after where Denial left off. Once again, I was pulled into the story. If I have loved them in the first book, my feelings towards Ella and Kayden in this second installment escalated and I just have changed my top BBF's. ;) If you have read DENIAL then surely you know what I mean. But if not, please do the honor because trust me this hero is just a HOOOOT!
Moving forward, I could definitely say from beginning 'til the end I was invested.I could not put the book down. I was just sucked into a roller coaster of emotion one you grasp so tight and don't want to let go. In fact even after reading the book I could not form any coherent thoughts. I was just staring blankly and just uttered WOW because to be honest that's how I describe DEMAND. Right from the start, as you read every word there's this magnetic feeling towards you and the story why you can't let it go.
To be honest, this is not my first Lisa Renee Jones book and to tell you she keeps getting better and better to every book she have written. I was not surprised though because she really has the talent and her great talent and her brilliant thinking just showed perfectly as you read the book. Demand is just EXCELLENT! It was just flawless. The romantic suspense and the mystery and the puzzles of pieces, the twist and turn of the events will keep you in the edge but really in a good way. That feeling when you have to guess and even wanted to solve whatever mystery and look for clues is just a proof that her words and lines just pulled you right in. Amazingy and brilliantly written. And for all of those holy! The author even coupled it with so damn hot sizzling scenes that just made the story artfully and tastefully great! *Fanning

I will not delve deeper and go into so much details in my review because there's no better way to describe the book but through reading and experiencing it yourseld. 4.25 "i know who i am" stars
As Ella continues to evoke her memories back, she developes deeper connection to Kayden and gets involved into the operational system of The Underground. Even though her flashbacks are giving her vague answers of the person she was running from in the first place, she finds solace in the affection and high physical chemistry with Kayden, guiding herself by the gut feeling...
even if she can remember the details of her previous life, she still believes that the doubts, that also trouble Kayden's thoughts, of her becoming another/different person when her memory eventually comes back, rather than she is now and "feels" right to be, don't hold any grounds...
As the time passes, the flashes are becoming clearer and the push of the current event filled with danger and anticipation and tension of Kayden's and now her world, only triggers her more into the awareness of who she was...and what she did...
but the only thing that is of Kayden's concern and always will be...is keeping her safe.
I don't want to lose you ever.
The second book in the Careless Whispers series was faster in pace, filled with passionate moments between Kayden and Ella, while they try to work together through the danger of Kayden's work and discovery of Ella's past...
The only thing that pushed me backwards were the moments implemented in the story with the prolongued dialogues, where I felt was unnecessary, which slowed the pacing for me and made me skip a little. :(

It's been a couple months since I've read Denial, book 1 in this series, and my memory is crap, so I was so glad the author not only included a recap of what happened as well as a character recap. Why don't more authors do this? Maybe other books don't need a recap, but this one certainly does.
There is A LOT going on in this book.
Ella's memory flashbacks/blackouts.
The drama with The Underground.
The butterfly necklace.
Not one, but two mafia bosses making threats.
Police meddling.
Family drama.
And for those looking for some romance, the growing relationship between Ella and Kayden.
While the two main characters do grow closer, especially as more information is revealed, Ella still has a big trust issue with Kayden. I couldn't blame her. I still don't think he is being 100% honest. However, this became an ongoing issue that got a bit tiresome. If you don't trust him, walk. If you trust him, let him in. I liked how Kayden pushed back at times, getting her to make the choice.
The big revelation in this book is who is the man in Ella's flashbacks. It's not David. And with this revelation, I'm expecting some big drama in the final book of the series.
What we have yet to learn is who is the true Ella?
Is she a woman who will hide in the castle at the hint of danger?
Or is she the woman who will take on attacks against her and Kayden?
We got a hint of both sides, but I'm hoping she is more than the latter. She spent way too much time these last two books sitting around waiting for something to happen. I hope to see more of her independent spirit and less of the damsel in need of saving.

There is A LOT going on in this book.
Ella's memory flashbacks/blackouts.
The drama with The Underground.
The butterfly necklace.
Not one, but two mafia bosses making threats.
Police meddling.
Family drama.
And for those looking for some romance, the growing relationship between Ella and Kayden.
While the two main characters do grow closer, especially as more information is revealed, Ella still has a big trust issue with Kayden. I couldn't blame her. I still don't think he is being 100% honest. However, this became an ongoing issue that got a bit tiresome. If you don't trust him, walk. If you trust him, let him in. I liked how Kayden pushed back at times, getting her to make the choice.
The big revelation in this book is who is the man in Ella's flashbacks. It's not David. And with this revelation, I'm expecting some big drama in the final book of the series.
What we have yet to learn is who is the true Ella?
Is she a woman who will hide in the castle at the hint of danger?
Or is she the woman who will take on attacks against her and Kayden?
We got a hint of both sides, but I'm hoping she is more than the latter. She spent way too much time these last two books sitting around waiting for something to happen. I hope to see more of her independent spirit and less of the damsel in need of saving.

Holy smoker bombs! This book was just insanely, mind blowingly brilliant. Not to mention blazing HOT! It just keeps getting better and better the deeper we get into the story and the more Ella is getting her memories back. It was so addicting, you'll want to finish it right away to get the pieces of the puzzle together.
And don't even get me started with Kayden Wilkens. Good grief, this guy can just do no wrong! The Hawk is utter perfection! Can I maybe just kill off Ella and replace her instead? I mean, I know I'll most likely die in the hands of Kayden himself before I get to her or him in the process, but it must be worth it, right? But seriously. Being under Kayden's protection and family and circle may be one of the most powerful, most desirable places a woman will ever want to be in. This man is just so strong and calculating and smart and romantic and oh so sexy. Did I mention he also has this dark side that will have you sweating and trembling with need? Ah, one word from his filthy mouth, one fleeting touch and you're done. Bam. Puddle of goo and nerves.
Kayden is probably one of the most closed off people you'll ever meet. He's so cautious, especially with the power and control he holds. So him opening up to Ella? Not holding anything back, even with the things going on in the Underground? That's huge. I can't even explain how Ella is probably the luckiest and the unluckiest woman in the whole world at the same time. We know the lucky part is all because of Kayden. But let's not forget that she's still being hunted down my another powerful man she's running away from. Being a target of that man makes up for the unlucky part. Though I think the former will persevere. Because Kayden. And her show of sheer strength here, both physically and emotionally, is so surprising. You won't be able to help but cheer her on because she is after all, the ultimate match to The Hawk.
I'm still astounded with how well Lisa Renee Jones has written these books. The mysteries, the secrets add so much to the intensity and thrill of the whole thing. You'd think all that will start waning off after such a phenomenal first book to the series, but no. The follow up is just as crazy good—if not more—you'd be biting your fingernails or holding onto your seats the entire time. I'm not sure I'm prepared for it to all be over, but the drive to finally know the truth in everything is winning. I need to know how it will all end and who plays into what! Gah! Am I really ready to Surrender already? Only one way to find out...

WOW! This book was such a great follow-up to Denial. It picks up right where Denial left off, when Ella has a gun pointed at Kayden, demanding answers. Have you forgotten some of the major players or plot points? Don't fear! Lisa Renee Jones gives you a character list and summary of how we got to where we are starting off. We are left with a lot of questions, something Jones is known for. We are navigating through more of Kayden and Ella's world finding out some answers and getting more questions to the big mystery of the necklace.
I found Denial to be like a wave in excitement: it had high points and then it would dip into low moments where my interest would wane. However, Demand was much more high interest much more of the time. I finished this book in 1 day. I connected more to Ella and Kayden as a couple and I found that I liked them more. Ella is having more blackouts and with those, come more memories. Those are often bittersweet for her, but great for the reader since we get much more information and background on her. A lot of the loose ends and answers are tied up and more are opened. It makes me yearn for book 3!
Overall, I would give this book 4.5 stars. I enjoyed this book more than the first book and the mystery was ramped-up and I am more invested in the story, the characters. I am looking forward to the next installment.

Lisa Renee Jones’ second book in the Careless Whisper’s series was a profound and intense story written by an author that takes Erotic Suspense to a level that leaves the reader breathless and astonished with the way she weaves a story.
I loved that she recapped Denial prior to starting Demand. Yes, this is a serial and it’s a must to read Denial before Demand. In fact, reading the Inside Out Series would definitely help in understanding everything that is going on with Ella, why she is fighting her way back and why she has put her trust and heart in Kayden’s hands as she becomes the woman of The Hawk.
I was enthralled with the way the story flowed, with the way Kayden handled the problems as they arose and with the strength and determination that just oozed out of Ella. As new problems arise, as Kayden and Ella get more and more determined to face the demons of her past and look forward to the future, as we try to figure out just what Giada, Gallo, Marabella and Adriel are really up to, who could be the real leak in the house … we end up with more than one question that we know just won’t be answered here. Now, Niccolo and Chief Donati both have more secrets that we have yet to discover and the necklace is still missing. But, things are coming together. I’m not sure for how long because Lisa Renee Jones always makes you think that you kind of know what’s really happening and then she throws you for another loop.
There are no words to describe Kayden, his intensity and the powerful love that he has for Ella. He believes in her and trusts her with his secrets and those of the Underground. Now, The Evil Eye. And, as for Ella … as she gets her memories back and she knows just what has been haunting her, more questions arise. But, she puts herself out there and is determined to find out everything and face whatever the future holds for her. Her trust and love for Kayden grows with each day, with each time he takes steps to help and protect her. The only thing she doubts is herself and just what and who she really was in the past.
Now, I had a “hell, yeah” moment at the end of Demand. This woman is bringing everyone together … Sara, Chris, Blake and Kara … Inside Out meets Tall, Dark and Deadly meets Careless Whispers. If anyone saw me when it all happened, they would have thought that I was a lunatic doing my happy dance.
I cannot say how much I love and have loved reading both Inside Out and Careless Whispers. It’s amazing how Lisa Renee Jones brings all of her characters full circle, has you hanging on each word and waiting to see what happens next. Her writing is emotional, suspenseful, erotic, sexy and powerful. Next, it’s time to Surrender … but who is surrendering? Ella? Kayden? Or someone else?

Demand is Lisa Renee Jones’ second book in the Careless Whisper series. I love the fact that she recapped Denial prior to starting Demand. Although if you haven't read Denial yet well you have to read it before starting this one!

There aren't enough words to describe the relationship between Kayden and Ella. The powerful trust and LOVE they have for each other grows with each day. It is seriously addictive .
Kayden is still this intense alpha man that trusts Ella with his secrets and those of The Underground. As for Ella, she is determined to find out everything and she's not afraid to put herself out there to get some answers.
It is really hard to review this book properly without spoiling the story! But what I can say is that you will not be disappointed by this suspenseful, passionate and intense storyline! Lisa Renee Jones has done it again and I can't wait to read Ella and Kayden's final book Surrender.

Lisa Renee Jones has the ability to grab hold of you from the very first page and keeps you captivated until the very last page and has you begging for more. Demand is a deep and erotic exploration of love, life, and sexuality. Unique and a little on the dark side, this book is deliciously sexy with sex scenes that are intense, passionate, and oh so hot. The developing romance between the main characters is great. They conquer obstacle after obstacle and come out stronger. A supremely well-written story that keeps you guessing right up to the end. Twisted, delicious, sexy... this book took my breath away!

OMG this book had me on pins & needles. Ever since I read If I Were You I have been dying to know "what happened" to Ella. Now in the Careless Whispers series we are finding out exactly what happened to Ella.
Every page I turned revealed a tiny bit more about what happened to Ella and the danger she is currently in.
This book is another home run for the author, its the perfect blend of suspense, romance, mystery and intrigue. I cannot wait for the next installment.
