I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This was a romantic suspense about love in modern day cream of the crop society. This story begins with Ella who is trying to establish a name for herself as a reporter, while doing grunt work for a celebrity gossip rag over the summer. She soon finds herself working on an assignment finding out the details of her famous step sister's murder. As if her world is not already crumbling, she has to work closely with her step sister's boyfriend and has a confusing yet undeniable attraction to Jaxson.
This book is full of twist and turns and has you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. It is a unique and unpredictable story and the sexual chemistry between Ella and Jaxson is off the charts! Ella has the most appealing type of beauty where everyone around her is attracted to her looks and her charm and yet she still considers herself to be mediocre. The author leaves you with a lot of questions about not only how will the murder be solved but whether Ella should trust Jaxson and if she will end up with him or someone else. A fast and intriguing read, I am already anticipating the second part.

ARC GIVEN FOR HONEST REVIEW
So this was my first Alison Foster book and I am hooked!
I found myself completely hooked I couldn't put it down and I loved Ella Wade and Jaxson Cole's relationship, it's fast and furious and all encompassing.
It is fast paced but not too fast that you can't follow. I can not wait for the next instalment of this series, so that I can find out how long Jaxson has been in love with Ella and who really killed Maddison.

Great start to a promising serial!
This is part 1 of a 3 part serial by Alison Foster. Scandal takes us on a journey of lust, desire and murder. Jaxson Cole is your sexy and charming model that takes the leading role of helping Ella Wade find out who killed her supermodel stepsister. Ella Wade, journalist at the Daily Scandal, lands herself a newsworthy gig of covering and writing about the investigation into her stepsisters mysterious murder what she doesn’t expect along her journey is to have her eyes and world opened to all things erotic, taboo, and scary.
Alison Foster gives us the beginning of a CSI: Miami meets Fifty Shades of Grey story that will leave so many questions running through your head. There are parts that left me panting and parts that left me with my jaw hanging open. Jaxson Cole is a very charming and charismatic character that never lets the world see the real him. Ella Wade may seem a bit naïve however, beneath it all I believe she is smart and witty and determined to solve her stepsisters death. The closer the 2 become during the investigation the more questions start to arise.
There is steam and erotic pleasures at ever corner. The more I got into the story the more I wanted and needed the conclusion. The initial connection between Jaxson and Ella was undeniable and I knew that sparks would fly. Fireworks erupted and that’s when the story took off for me. Scandal Part One was a rollercoaster ride of adrenaline and I felt like I ran a marathon when I read the last word.
Ella seems to be getting too close, too fast and the ending my friends left me contacting the author screaming why? Why did you do this? Why did you leave it like this? Have no fear though, since this is a serial the next installment Scandal: Part Two will be releasing in a short few weeks and the next episode of CSI: Miami meets Fifty Shades of F8@ked up continues. I was left with more questions at the very end not knowing exactly who to trust anymore and who the suspects are. Why did it happen? What was the cause? Who put the plan in motion? What is it after? Why? Why? Why? WTF? Holy crazy monkey balls! I am stumped so naturally I will be diving into Part 2 as soon as it releases to find out just what the hell is going on.
If you are looking for a quick and fast read that not only gives you sexy but also mystery as well than I would recommend Scandal. If you are looking for something that will leave you totally mind f8@ked than I would say look no further. Great job Alison Foster is giving us the start of a serial that is like watching an episode of a crime stopping series that feels like the season finale when we all know the screen writers are totally going to leave us hanging and feeling like we have been slapped in the face only to make us wait month for the next season to start. However, I am so glad you aren’t waiting months and only a few weeks to give us the next installment in this serial or I might quit literally go postal.

Our main character is Ella, her famous stepsister is murdered and Ella finds herself knee-deep in the investigation. Obviously she seeks answers and meets her dead stepsister's boyfriend Jax, who is definitely hot. Sparks are ignited between the pair, this is going to be an intriguing series.
Ella is no shy person, she knows what she wants, she is a confident woman, and content in her own skin, which enhances the whole story, we have a strong lead character instead of a shy demure weak woman!! In the midst of the drama surrounding the murder, Ella realises she wants Jax, and she has him, but thing are not all they seem. You need to read this to get any more as I am not telling!! Let's just say it is rather hot !!!

3.5 stars from me
Its a very well thought out put together read, and I believe its the first book in a series. Because of this, its a short book that ends with a lot of question marks poised over the read. For sure to read the next book in the series. [Which I certainly would do]
It will take you only about an hour and a half to read, so you can tell, its more of a prequel to the next book.
Its a great start, Ella is working for the summer at a website named Daily Scandal. She thinks this will lead on to an exciting time, it surely does for her, but not in the way she thought it would.
She finds herself sleeping with her Step Sister's ex, which leads onto all sorts of repercussions.
I think Alison Foster the author had written a good lead on to the next book.

Given an Arc for an honest review! This is a fast paced and very quick read. Scandal has mystery, murder, heat and danger that can be found anywhere within the read. It has you guessing what will happen next especially at the end. Alison Foster pulls you into a world of tabloids, modeling and the moment of realization that decisions that are made will have consequences. How hard will Ella fall for Jaxson? What damage will be done before the truth to the mystery will be revealed? Can't wait to see what happens next.

4 stars. Definitely a different book and theme than I’ve read, which is a good thing. It’s a short, quick read.

Ella gets a tip that her step sister was murdered her boss asks her to be the lead interviewer for the story. Not wanting to get involved she reluctantly agrees and heads over to the police station for the press conference, but when she arrives she’s told that she will be helping the lead investigator on the case. They head over to the modeling agency where Ella’s stepsister was last seen. Ella feels totally out of place at the agency, until she sees Jax, her step sister ex-boyfriend. He’s hot and Jax knows it. When he sets his sights on Ella, she gets her feelings involved and learns things about her stepsister she never knew. Secrets start coming to the surface and Ella isn't’ sure who she can trust anymore. This story ends with a cliffhanger, but a really great cliffhanger!!! I really liked this book and I’m excited to see where it goes next!

I received and ARC for an Honest review.
The story is interesting and different I don't do spoilers. It does not have much depth if you want an emotional journey book to read, this is probably not for you, but it is an easy read, you don't have to think too much whilst reading it. It wont have you crying your eyes out, If that is your sort of book etc.
The book has been edited well and was easy to follow.
I read in one sitting took about 1.5 hours so an easy pool read on holidays or bedtime reading that is not going to keep you up forever. it wont give you nightmares either with being too graphic.
The ending leaves lots of questions to be answered in the next book.
I can normally second guess what is going to happen. In this book however I have no clue which way this will go and who is on "the level" But this makes the book.
The characters are described well, not sure if I like some of them yet though, I will have to wait and find out in the next book which I do want to read.
So the author has done their job and made me want to read more.

I have never read anything by Alison Foster and I enjoyed reading this book. Its a quick read but it was very interesting and drew me in. This book was a great start to this series and I look forward to reading the rest in this series.
Ella is working at the Daily Scandal and enjoys writing and likes to be in the background. She doesn't want to be one of those types of paparazzi until she finds out that her ex step-sister was murdered. She figures she'd be the best to cover the story and wants to find out who did it. While out with the detective they go to meet and question her step-sister's ex Jaxon. She feels horrible because she feels instantly attracted to him. Jaxon decides to help her find the killer and presses her at the same time. Jaxon talks her into it and they end up together and boy do they have some hot sex. Things are going good until they're not. What happens? What does she find that makes her question her trust in Jaxon? What are Jaxon's intentions with Ella?
I really can't wait to read the next!

First I will start off by saying this was a very hot fun read. I enjoyed reading about the "scandals" and everything else, the characters were well developed. Trust me ladies you are going to love this story.
Now, let's take a moment and look at that cover... seriously where can I go to meet these dudes on the cover of these books??? I mean these are real people right. sigh. Alas, the cover is worthy of sucking me into this story.
The plot was fun, and had just the right amount of steam and the right amount of drama. The book even made me consider a job in journalism at a tabloid. What can I say when you are reading at 2 am your mind gets crazy, fun ideas.
I would read additional books by Foster as this book pretty much took control of my life one Friday night. Once I started it I could not put this book down, so believe me you will have trouble also putting this book down. If the cover doesn't get you, I promise the content certainly will.
I can't wait for the next installment to this book and man... it was good.

I am intrigued, confused, and glad I have the whole box set already loaded on my kindle, as this cliffhanger is heinous. The story is sensual and steamy, but somewhat creepy too, I am hopelessly hooked as this installment has lured me in and pricked my curiosity with more questions than answers.

What an interesting start to this series. Jaxson is a little odd to me in the way he acts, but it all seems to be a part of his persona. He becomes more human and normal to me when around Ella. Jax and Ella have an interesting start to their relationship. I don't know about anyone else, but at the end of this I have my guess at who is involved it he beautiful Madison's death. The end is not only a cliff hanger, but also leaves you going what is going on right now. So many questions, so many thoughts as to what will happen. I look forward to continuing the journey that is Jaxson and Ella's relationship. Great job Alison Foster I can not wait for more!

Amazing! This is the first book I have ever read by Alison Foster, but it won’t be my last!
This is a riveting, page-turning, hot & steamy, romantic suspense must read with twists & turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat! I very much liked the storyline and the characters were amazing! I am already anticipating reading Part 2 and 3!
Give this book a chance, I highly doubt you will regret it!

This book had it all suspense, attractions, twist and turns I felt I was in a emotional roller-coaster. Jaxson is sexy and the chemistry between him and Ella is explosive but sure wasn't planned.. Ella is working for a top celebrity tabloid magazine and while she landed a job that she hopes will help her solve her sisters murder, she never knew she would end up falling for her ex boyfriend but things aren't always as they seem. I was kept on the edge, couldn't put it down . looking g forward to the next one.

I was very privileged to have received an advanced copy of Scandal and as I'm new to Alison's books was really looking forward to seeing what it was like. I have to admit it's not what I've been reading of late but it didn't fail to impress. I loved it, it was really well written and the suspense kept you hanging in to see what would happen next. Ella and Jax will intrigue you as you get drawn into their characters. It's definitely a must read and I'm really keen for the next one ☺️

This is part one of three parts, so you are left with some questions. I love Ella, her character is well developed and has a lovely personality. I love Ella and Jaxson's complicated and sexy relationship. It's a fast paced suspenseful, hot quick read. But wonderfully written and leaves you wanting more. I can't wait for part two!

Scandal..part one is filled with excitement,mystery and sexiness. Jax and Ella are surrounded in a murder mystery...while they have intense chemistry building between them. I loved this story and can't wait to read the second part.

I received this book as a ARC and I really enjoyed reading it, sure it left me with alot of questions but this is a series not a stand alone so I expected to have those questions. I look forward to reading the second book in this series.

I was given an ARC of this book for my honest review. It took me a bit to get into the book, but once I did I enjoyed the book. The dynamic between Ella and Jaxston is electric yet you can tell there is so much more than what meats the eye. I look forward to reading the next part.

This story reads just like a article in a Scandal magazine about Hollywood. If you want to read about sex, murder, sex, lies, sex, and danger then this is a story for you. Ella wants to be a writer but is currently working for a magazine. Jaxson is a model and Ella's step sisters boyfriend. When Ella's step sister ends up dead her boss makes her cover the story because she is personally invested in it. All he!! breaks loose. What you think is true is a lie. Who you think is innocent may not be. Who can you trust? Ella finds things she think may be right are actually not. This story may be short but it will have you wondering what is going to happen next with every turn of the page. Twists and turns are thrown in just when you think you have something figured out. Of course the cliffhanger is an OMG -- what moment.

Scandal is part one in a three part series. This one is a short quick read that ends in a cliffhanger. I knew there would be a cliffhanger because it's part one but I didn't expect it to but such a big cliffhanger. I immediately wanted to read part two but I thought I would write my review for part one first.
Ella works for The Daily Scandal. She's not a sleazy paparazzi. She is caring and kind hearted. Her former step sister, Madison, is a Hollywood star and is killed. Ella ends up investigating the story for The Daily Scandal. During the investigating she meets super sexy Jaxson Cole. Jaxson is Madison's ex. There are some many things wrong with Ella starting a relationship with Jaxson. Some things about Jaxson seem off. The cliffhanger at the end is crazy and I'm off to read part two to see what happens next.

Ella is a journalist for The Daily Scandal. Her step sister who is a well known model is murdered. Some how her boss gets her a spot reporting on the investigation. She is the only reporter and she gets to be like a detective with the real detective on the case. Which seems to maybe have some type of feelings for Ella. As she is pulled into the investigation she meet the one and only Jaxson Cole. He is a super yummy sought after male model. As she becomes closer to Jax she is pulled into the lifestyle her step sister Maddie was hiding from everybody. Will she be able to trust Jax when it seems like he has other motives? Will Brad find out information from the closed lipped people in the underground sex club? Will Rick the detective be involved in Jax being accused of murder? I'm going to have to find out in the next book. This book had a major cliff hanger.

Wowser! This is the first book I've ever read by Ms. Foster, but it won't be my last! ... I can't wait to read the 2nd installment :o ... "Scandal: part one" is a riveting, page-turning, hot & steamy, romantic suspense must read with twists & turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat! ...
Get ready for a thrilling roller-coaster ride; a ride you won't want to end and will pay to keep riding ;) ... The story-line is not the one of those latest carbon copy plots; it is totally unique from anything I've read before with descriptive attention to details & intriguing characters :) ...
Even tho I won this thru a special event on Facebook, it was so awesome that I plan on 'one-clicking' to gift a friend now :) So yes, I honestly recommend this to all fiction lovers :D

I do not know how, but it seems that I signed up for a review for this book.
First thing that bothered me about this book was the male lead character's name , Jaxson. Why Jaxson? Why not Jackson or Jason. That bothered me so much.
So Madison, Ella's strange stepsister and "Jaxson's girlfriend" was murdered . But to me nobody took it seriously everyone was fucking joking around. Not even a little bit of respect for the deceased.
There was nothing great about Jaxson, he was boring , immature and I did not like the way he spoke.
Ella did not seem smart for a writer, she was dumb, everyone in this book was pissing me off. I had to stop at 60% because nothing really interesting was going on.

What a fantastic find! Super quick, super HOT and super sexy read. Jax and Ella have a complicated meeting only after discovering Ella's step-sister is murdered. Did I mention how Jax is the step-sister's boyfriend or rather how the tabloids say they were?!? Oh yeah, the story only gets better at each turn of the page!
Really great, descriptive, mouth watering writing! I'm about to purchase the rest of the series...that's how well this author writes (or maybe it's her editors). Can't wait to know what happened to Madison and what will happen next between Ella and Jax!!
