Thank you to the author for the ARC! 🖤

This was one ARC that I have been looking forward to for MONTHS, and I could not wait to dive in! And let me just say... Wow, this book was a lot. So much was happening at any given time, and, as with the first book, this book was an emotional roller coaster. Seriously, I went from frustrated to devastated to happy all within the span of a few chapters.

In this book, Maree was a constant 180 back and forth. However, she was going through a lot as she was learning to navigate having feelings of her own for the first time, as well as her grief. I understood her, but boy did she have me frustrated at some points in the story. One thing that I heavily enjoyed was getting more insight into Luken's past. After book one, I was curious about why he may be and act as he does, and Broken Heir did a fantastic job of clearing up a lot of the questions I was left with previously. Seeing how Maree and Luken continue to care for one another is genuinely beautiful. Also, shout out to Sterling's character development! He has grown SO MUCH since the first book and is a character I'm rooting for. Also, Sterling and Ellora??? 👀 I'm interested in seeing how that continues to play out in the next one! And the end??? Gosh, I can't wait to find out what will happen in the next book! If you enjoy intense YA romantasy stories full of magic, adventure, and emotional turmoil, consider adding the Forgotten Souls series to your TBR!

Broken Heir is book 2 of the Forgotten Souls YA romantasy series, and it did not disappoint! I can't say too much without spoiling the story, but Maree was never able to feel emotion of any kind, until now, and now she feels EVERYTHING - especially grief. This story has everything you could want - emotion, angst, yearning, loyalty, found family, morally gray characters, twists and turns - it's a page-turner that you won't be able to put down!

This was a fantastic continuation for Forgotten Soul (Book 1) - we get to follow Maree through her grief and navigating feelings that are finally not someone else's. I laughed, I cried, I nearly threw my kindle. I don't want to spoil anything, but it's a must read!!!! The ending left me staring at a wall 🖤😭🖤
