Tetra Dupont has never met an impossible job she didn't like. This one might be pushing it.
Sure, hosting the magical world's biggest sporting event inside a city full of humans who can't know magic exists is a terrible idea. That's exactly why Tetra Dupont said yes.
The Duchess of Caerleon has turned a Bronx ruin into a Colosseum, a feral attitude into a leadership style, and "probably impossible" into her personal brand. Centaur jousting, dragonfire duels, pegasus polo—all of it hidden in plain sight from millions of oblivious New Yorkers. What could go wrong?
Poison gas in a packed restaurant, for one. A half-starved weredog kid who bolts every time she tries to help. A corrupt commissioner squeezing her best human friend. And a strange, inconvenient ache that keeps dragging her eyes toward the empty room in her perfect house.
Can the wildest faerie in any universe pull off the impossible one more time—or has she finally bitten off more than even she can swallow whole?
A long time ago I was born in Los Angeles. That's where I spent many of my formative years. After I became an adult, I moved around for a bit before ending up in a small town in Oregon, very similar to Bailey's hometown. Greenhearth is fake, if you haven't already Googled that, but it's like many small towns with less than 1,000 people.
My pets... I love animals, especially my two even if they do create havoc in my daily life. I have a cat, named Snowstorm, Storm for short. Then I have a rescue, Josephine. She's a Labradoodle - I think. It's hard to say but it's the best I can come up with.
What I'm working on... I'm already working on the next book in the series - was working on it before Bad Attitude came back from editing. And now that it has released, need to stay on track with A Bit Aggressive.

Still loving this world dreamt up by Renee Jagger and Michael Anderle and all the series that take place in it. I love the recurring characters and the new ones just add more to the stories. If you enjoy paranormal books with plenty of action and magic then start with the series that started it all (Para-Military Recruiter) and continue from there, you will not regret it.
A fun, established series with plenty of action, feel good, and "call to action" moments. A great cast of characters that feel like friends now. I look forward to more in the series.
This book was a little bit slow at the beginning, but the action picked up as it went along. I like the fact that characters from previous books are in this book.
