I picked this graphic novel up because it was short and I needed to fill a spot on my bingo card for the adult summer reading program at my local library. I was pleasantly surprised with how good this graphic novel was. It was simple, sure, but it condensed Moby Dick down into something that is easy to understand. I think this is a fantastic way to introduce classics to kids and adults alike.

This book is very iconic and I would recommend reading it just for that reason, just to get the gist of what it's about.I love the obsession from the captain to try and kill Moby Dick because he bit off his leg. I see this as a book to follow through with a goal you have set with yourself, I know that it's a dark way of following through, but that's just the way that I see it. I would definitely recommend this book because it is just an american masterpiece and it should be read by everyone.

I found this story rather boring. It didn’t keep me engaged and wanting to read, I instead read through it just to read through it. There was action, but it didn’t interest me enough to want to read more. That is why I gave a low rating to the book; it just simply wasn’t interesting me enough.

this series of Scholastic graphic novels of classics are fantastic. Struggling readers have a lot of graphics to look at, without the intergrity of the story being compromised.
