𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑙𝑎𝑡𝑡𝑒𝑟.
Tierney Page woke up and chose violence. She ripped my heart right out of its socket, pummeled it with a good, healthy dose of yearning, kicked it repeatedly with angst and tension and then, 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐈𝐒 𝐆𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐘… somehow fixed it right back up again because I was barely hanging on by the skin of my teeth. 🫠
𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝐴𝐻-𝐹𝑅𝐸𝐴𝐾𝐼𝑁𝐺-𝑀𝐴𝑍𝐼𝑁𝐺.

I spent so much of this book on the edge of my seat, emotionally unwell and completely invested in these two.

A whole different playing field.
And that love story… Absolutely beautiful. The kind that settles somewhere deep in your chest and stays there. I genuinely think Chase and Summer will stay with me for many, many years to come.

Wow!! It's definitely been awhile since a romance book got me so in my feelings to shed a tear, but this beautiful, emotional story of Summer and Chase certainly accomplished that.
Firstly, I would check your trigger warnings before going into this read as events can be triggering for some readers.
I absolutely devoured this read and certainly could not put it down! Tierney's writing is absolutely beautiful in bringing these characters to life and respecting their traumas and pasts.
The yearning and passion between Chase and Summer from the beginning of their childhood as neighbors, to adulthood is so heart warming and heartbreaking at the same time.
Summer's upbringing is devastating and made me feel everything. To Chase's sacrifice for the girl he loved as a child, to the women's peace he would do anything to protect in the future.
This romance story would definitely be in the category of one of my favorites and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves a beautiful, second chance, love story with so much emotional depth and backstory. I highly encourage adding this one to your never ending TBR's immediately!!

When I tell you that Tierney poured her heart and soul into this and you could literally feel the emotions dripping from the pages, I mean it!
Lyrics of summer is the kind of second chance romance that isn’t easy, kind or typical but riddled with life’s tragedies, heart breaks and hurt. Whilst it is incredibly deep and emotional, you still get that sprinkle of Tierney’s well known humour and banter. Addie reminds me of Tierney and is the best friend a person could ask for, I loved the found family that Summer found with Addie.
Summer & Chase are high school friends, that YEARN hard for each other but when an awful tragedy happens to Summer and rips the two of them apart, they spend years yearning, wondering and hurting. Watching them discover each other, heal each other, loved & support each other was so so beautiful.
It’s a wonderful story about trauma leading you not weighing you down and defining you.
The ending?! I was BROKEN, I need book two asap. I also NEED to see Steel falls to his KNEES for Addie ASAP.

Well, what a delightful, emotional read this book from ‘new to me’ author Tierney Page was!
Very much a ‘coming of age’ story, ‘Lyrics Of Summer’ follows Summer and Chase from high school graduation through to adulthood, trying to find their place in the world whilst dealing with young love, trauma, separation and loss as they struggle to move forward both together and individually.
It’s a painful, difficult read at times as the MCs run the gamut of emotions. Sympathies bounce between both Chase and Summer as they face impossible challenges and you can’t help but will them on to their HEA - It’s a heartbreaking, beautifully written story. I work hard not to give spoilers but I have to say the scene between Summer, Chase and her dad really had my stomach dropping and my heart pounding. Phewee!
There are also plenty of engaging side characters and I particularly loved Chases mum and Addie. The ending leaves the door deliciously open for Addie to have her own interesting, heartbreaking story and I really hope she gets it.
As befits the strength of their feelings and the progression of their relationship, there are some explicit, open door, spicy scenes but these aren’t gratuitous and are dealt with tastefully and sympathetically.
**This book contains multiple subjects that may cause distress such as DV and death from cancer, your mental wellbeing is important, please check triggers before reading**

What began as two next door neighbors who are friends, there was always tension of more. When Summer becomes unsafe, Chase did whatever he had to do to make sure she makes it out alive. When Summer returns 10 years later to the town and home she’s wanted to forget, old feelings resurface and the man that still has her heart is still there.
Oh my gosh the way Tierney had my heart just twisted. I was fully immersed and obsessed over their love story. The second chance that they deserve.
My heart was broken for Summer and Chase. Both still figuring out what they wanted to do with their lives and had some much hope for the future. They were both dealt with brutal hands. Maybe one more than the other.
This book was emotional and I was rooting for their happily ever after so much. It hurt so much when they were apart. This second chance read is so good though. I loved everything about it. The writing was beautiful. I can picture the setting. The amount of love between all the characters was fully felt.

This is my first read by this author, and I loved every moment of it. Everything from the writing style, to the characters and the story itself. Chase & Summer were just everything, their story both heart breaking and heart warming all at once. There were so many raw and real moments, with our mc’s both being deeply hurt in their own ways.
The topics in this book were handled with so much care, and there were many moments that had me tearing up. There are some very intense scenes, dealing with sensitive topics, so please be sure to check the trigger warnings if needed.

This is one of my most anticipated reads for September so seeing this drop in my inbox…yeah I had to start it straight away!
Well…this was genuinely one of the most gut wrenching but BEAUTIFUL books I’ve read in a while! I laughed, but god did I also sob, I mean full blown ugly crying!

This is one of my most anticipated reads for September so seeing this drop in my inbox…yeah I had to start it straight away!
Well…this was genuinely one of the most gut wrenching but BEAUTIFUL books I’ve read in a while! I laughed, but god did I also sob, I mean full blown ugly crying!

This is between a 3.5 and 4 for me.
Ive never read a Tierney Page, but I really liked the look of the tropes in this one.
It took me a little bit to get used to the writing style and I feel like I really enjoyed part 2 more than part 1. I loved the second chance aspect and there were some really beautiful quotes towards the end. The family dynamics with Chase and his family were really sad and beautiful.
"You've always been spectacular. But now, you take my breath away, Hayes".
There were things I didnt like, it seemed like the musican aspect was like an add on, kinda glossed over. And I dont know if we had to be told explicitly about invisible string theory.
The ending was great. And I am interesting in reading about Addie's book because that cliff hanger was unexpected!

Well… this book left me with emotional damage.
I was SOBBING. Not cute little tears either. The journal, the last entry, THE NOTE THAT FELL OUT. Every time I thought I had myself together, this book found another way to completely wreck me.
And that ending didn’t just push me over the emotional cliff—it LAUNCHED me off it. Wow
Immediately adding this one to my Top Reads of 2026 folder. No hesitation.

Chase and Summer are everything and more. Their story is full of heartbreak, love, hurt, and growth. I loved them and this book even though it was heavy at times (check your trigger warnings).
