Bearly Breathing

Rate this book
A curvy photographer, a sexy bear shifter, and a raging river between them. Finding a mate's never easy.

When bear shifter Dean stumbles across a sexy photographer in the backcountry, he's shocked. She's his mate, no question. But he's four paws into a swift river and she's on the other side, snapping his picture.

One misstep and Amanda's tumbling into the icy current. The water rips her downstream and before she knows it, she's semi-conscious, convinced a grizzly bear's saving her life. When she wakes up in a gorgeous stranger's cabin--wearing nothing but wet underwear and a blanket--will she run screaming? Or give into fate one kiss at a time?

Steamy, standalone short story featuring a hunky bear shifter, his curvy mate, and the Alaska wild. No cliffhanger! Intended for adult audiences only.

short & sweet

Four chapters long. If you're looking for a light & fast read, this is it. A curvy photographer who photographs food for a living is tired of taking pictures of food. She goes to Alaska to try her hand at photographing wildlife. While she is there taking pictures she sees a bear in the water and starts taking photos of him. When he sees her he knows she is his mate. She feels a connection to the bear and is fascinated with him, she isn't watching her step while taking the pictures and falls into the water. He goes after her to save her before her body hits the rapids and makes it just in time. Whew! What a relief! Except when he gets her to the riverbank she isn't breathing (OMG! He just found her, he can't lose her now). I'm sure you can imagine what happens and eventually we get a happy ending. Sweet.

I found this a cute and quirky read which I read in a hour, perfect break time reading. As its short, things progress quickly and we have a photographer who’s out in Alaska taking pictures when she’s met by a big grizzly who happens to be Dean. The bear senses Amanda as his mate and before you know it, wam bam thank you ma’am and they are mated.

The writing style was good, good character description but just too short, if this had been made into a full length story more could have been explained instead of Amanda just being so accepting of a “bear” advising that he is her destiny and mate.

Great read!

I enjoyed this book very much. The only thing wrong is it was to short. I would definitely recommend this author to anyone who enjoys paranormal romance. Hope in the near future she writes more, and longer books.

I really enjoyed the storyline and the characters are very likable, but I did find it a bit rushed at times!
