In the seventh installment of the DCYE Series, relief at James' departure is short-lived as an unexpected attempt is made on Kinsley's life. When Klive learns the hit has been handed down by none other than his very own leadership with help from a friendly foe, Klive steps in to take care of business in the most lethal way he knows how. Soon, the lines of morality begin to blur when Kinsley and Jase assist Klive in ways they never imagined. With Kinsley's spirit riddled in guilt, Adrian works to keep Kinsley focused on Klive's ultimate goal of freedom in her honor, but Klive's ultimate plan of freedom provokes Jase into confessing who he really is. As tensions mount, and deception ensues, Klive refuses to allow his problems to keep him from taking the next step in order to ultimately claim Kinsley. As a result, Kinsley decides to man up and unite with Klive as he prepares her to come face-to-face with the foes who want her dead.
This series just keeps getting better and better. Just when I thought the last book was good the next one blows me away. In the seventh installment of the DCYE the struggles of Kinsley and Klive keep piling up. It's a perfect push and pull of emotions the entire way through. And if Kinsley and Klive aren't ratcheting up the tension then Kinsley and Jase are back at it. It was great to see some of the issues between Kinsley and Jase resolved even if it left me with tears in my eyes. The author did a great job in showing how they've grown in their relationship.
I can't wait to read the next book, and I'm on pins and needles, wondering how this series will end.

Wow, this was an amazing read. Once I started I could not put it down. It moved along at the perfect speed not to fast nor to slow and has a story that will keep you interested from beginning to end. A must read.
