20's bootlegging come to life
Interesting view of the Prohibition 20's, the feds and cops who chased the bad guys and reporters looking for scoops with a good dose of political extortion thrown in. Alexander has a very unique style and way with words that paints a picture you often have to think about to get. This is the kind of book you could read several times and pick up more intricacies each time. Looking forward to his next effort while following his Substack essays.
