Holy Hot Stuff Batman, this book is fantastic! I haven’t read a book with a leading lady as amazing as Sunny in a very long time…she is terrific! Forced into a marriage that she definitely doesn’t want, to a man that should scare her to death, but she doesn’t back down…ever! She is exactly what her name implies…a ray of sunshine…with a sarcastic wit, a mouth that won’t quit and an amazing way of making everyone around her pretty much do what she wants them to. Oh, and she has zero cooking skills…that part is pretty hilarious. Dante is the king of his world. Because of past events in his life, he does not form attachments. Boy was he in for an awakening when the woman he coerces into marrying him, turns out to be the one thing he can’t live without. These two are fabulous! The supporting characters are fabulous. The whole book is fabulous…loved it!

Dante De Zaro runs the prestigious Fortune Casino.
His ruthless, private, protective and headstrong.
But when it’s suggested that he needs to take a wife, he knows that’s only going to cause more problems.
Until he sets his eyes on Sunny Meadows.
Her father is in deep financial trouble and Sunny will do whatever it takes to save her family.
Sunny is strong, quick witted and absolutely gives Dante a run for his money. This woman is going to eat Dante alive 🙈
I’m a sucker for a Strong FMC 💪🏼
Their banter and back & forth had me giggling all the way through.
Their connection is instant and the tension between them had me on the edge of my seat wanting more.
And those twists and turns? 😱
I didn’t see them coming.

are in an ‘arrangement’ and one that Sunny is determined to do her best to get out of before the twelve months are up. The only problem is that they both feel the physical connection between them.
Dante is a strong yet calm mob boss who is fair in his treatment of his staff. He doesn’t shy away from the ‘dirty’ work when it is necessary but he doesn’t enjoy it either.
Sunny is just like her name suggests. She is friendly and supportive of others, yet also determined to get her way and sassy to boot.
The fun banter between Sunny and Dante is a highlight and had me chuckling quite a few times. They both gave as good as they received and the building tension became even more intense.
Add in the fantastic twists and turns that completely took me by surprise and you have one amazing story that I am adding to my 2026 Best Reads of

I love mafia Dons who straddle the line between good and bad, and Dante Di Zaro definitely has his feet on both sides of that line, although like all good ‘bad’ mafia bosses he’s got a mushy centre for the right woman. Could Sunny Meadows be that woman? I certainly hope so, she’s got just the right amount of sass and drive without pushing him completely over the edge (most of the time). She’s independent, strong willed and she understands the rules. I love her, she really did push his buttons, and I just loved the banter between them. Dante is the perfect mix of dark and light, and he was never expecting to meet his match in life, until Sunny, he was totally in over his head. When his enemies and Sunny’s past became a threat, he was willing to burn down the city to ensure her safety. Sexy, and at times brutal, this mafia romance had me hooked from the get-go, I loved it. Entertaining throughout. I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.

In Twisted Temptation, Sunny has been helping out her dad with bills. Later on she finds out not only is he in a lot of debt but he has been stealing money the Don himself, Dante Di Starza. When he comes to collect the debt and is set on killing her dad, she begs him to let him live. He says he will with one condition that she becomes his wife. Dante needs a wife in order to appease the family. He needs to look more serious. He only wants it on paper. He couldn’t care less about who Sunny is or if she’d like him. Sunny does not make it easy on him. The only reason she agrees is to keep her father alive. However, she challenges Dante on everything and he likes her fire. She refuses to fall for him, but gets to know the person he is underneath the Don persona. This was an emotional rollercoaster. It’s filled with drama, danger, humor, secrets, heat, suspense, action, and shocking twists. I can’t wait for the next book.

The story is fast paced, filled with banter, lovable side characters, spicy steam and a few unexpected plot twists that takes this book to the next level!
Penny Dee writes great leading female characters and Sunny is no exception. She's strong without being a bitc**, resilient and resourceful without being your typical "I'm too good to accept help" type of character. I love how she softens when needed but she's also perfectly capable to kick ass and use her skills, all her skills 😉, to learn more, make her point and win her side.
Dante was hot, because of course he was, with a mushy centre just for Sunny that'll make you wonder why men like him don't exist off paper.

I couldn't put the book down. The banter, the tension and the spice. One minute I'm laughing then the next it's like damn.
Dante needed a wife but Sunny gave him one hell of a ride.
Sunny is forced to marry Dante but is determined to make him miserable. She is one firecracker for him.
Dante doesn't want a connection with Sunny but once his walls are gone, there's no going back. He'll burn the world down for her.

I highly recommend this book.
I couldn't put the book down. The banter, the tension and the spice. One minute I'm laughing then the next it's like damn.
Dante needed a wife but Sunny gave him one hell of a ride.
Sunny is forced to marry Dante but is determined to make him miserable. She is one firecracker for him.
Dante doesn't want a connection with Sunny but once his walls are gone, there's no going back. He'll burn the world down for her.

Wonderful book!!!
Oh my another winner from Ms. Dee!!! Sunny, to me, matched her name. Her father owes a huge debt to the mafia so he gives her to Dante...yes!!! I like Dante. Sunny gets to meet Chantelle, "the housekeeper" right...she really does not like her at all..is she jealous..perhaps...she then goes to a dinner with Dante and his colleagues... I laughed out loud at this. Anyway I am not really good at reviews but please read this!! I know it will become one of your favorites..

I love Sunny!!! Sunny’s father has financial problems and Sunny wants to help. Dante is a mafia don and he needs a wife, he goes to get rid of a man who stole from him and meets his daughter Sunny. He decides to marry Sunny against her will and boy does she make him pay for it. Sunny has secrets from her past, Dante doesn’t want a relationship because of something from his past. The tension between these two is off the charts, their banter is hilarious, the twists and turns are great, this book is a must read. Highly recommend ❤️🖤

I couldn't put it down. Thank you for breaking my reading slump. This story was like Beauty and the Beast and Pretty Woman had a love child. The epitome of grumpy-sunshine. Sunny is trying to make end meet when she becomes collateral for her dad. Dante, the cold Don doesn't know what to do about the feelings Sunny evokes. This story had me chucking, gasping and swooning. I am excited for more in the series.

I picked this book up; started to read and was consumed. I thought that Dante and Sunny's was amazing. Had me experiencing all the emotions and feels as I was reading and I believe it will linger in my heart and mind for the longest time.

Dante is feeling pressure to marry in order to appease the older mafia members. When he confronts an accountant who has been stealing from him, he meets his daughter and decides to solve both problems. It may be a forced marriage but he is otherwise kind and respectful to Sunny. Their relationship grows to a friendship and then more. I enjoyed their banter and how they complemented each other. Sunny brings humor and fun to the story. Dante brings excitement. They both bring passion! The supportive characters add a lot of found family feelings. I enjoyed their story and couldn’t put it down.

I don’t even know where to begin. Penny Dee is one of my one click authors and her books keep getting better. If you are a fan of dark romance, mafia, enemies to lovers, with great banter and a solid story then Twisted Temptation is your book. Dante is the man who believes love is for the weak and Sunny loves with her whole being but is forced into an impossible situation. There is heat, angst, and many endearing moments that pull the reader in. Dante and Sunny’s verbal sparring is laugh out loud funny. This is an original story with great writing that I regret reading so quickly. I recommend all of this author’s books but this one is definitely my new favorite.

A mafia romance that keeps you turning the pages until the early hours of the morning! This book was a fun and easy read and I liked the FMCs banter with the MMC and the side characters as well.
