Six years ago, Chase Timberlake bought an engagement ring for his high school sweetheart Lori Reese. Then ... life happened. Chase's adventure photography career took off, Lori's dream of getting into veterinary school came true, and their happily ever after never came to pass.
When Chase's jet-setting life takes a tragic turn, he returns to Eternity Springs a damaged man. Who better to help mend his spirit than the woman who has dedicated her life to healing broken wings? Long summer days spent together rekindles the love that never died and Chase dares to dream of a future he'd thought lost. But Lori can't help but wonder whether this high-flying man really wants a small-town girl with roots sunk deep into the Colorado Rockies. Emily March is the New York Times, Publishers Weekly, and USA Today bestselling author of over thirty novels, including the critically acclaimed Eternity Springs series. Publishers Weekly calls March a "master of delightful banter," and her heartwarming, emotionally charged stories have been named to Best of the Year lists by Publishers Weekly, Library Journal, and Romance Writers of America.
Reunion Pass- An Eternity Springs novel- by Emily March is a 2016 St. Martin’s Press publication. I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Emily March is one of those authors that stays consistent, always turning out love stories that touches your heart, and leaves you with a goofy grin on your face. This one, however, has a slightly different approach, and I have to say, I loved it!
This eleventh book in the super popular Eternity Springs series centers around Lori and Chase, that couple in high school everyone was so sure were destined for wedding bells someday.
But, reality sets in while Lori is in school studying to be a veterinarian and Chase is off pursing his career as a photographer. Chase can’t shake his wanderlust, loves his job, and compromising with Lori doesn’t seem possible. So, their grand love affair just came to a stop, without a big break up scene, fading away as each of them remains focused on achieving their individual goals.
As time passes Lori becomes a Vet, and Chase becomes a world famous photographer on a television show, which takes him to faraway, and often very dangerous places, and to top it off he is now engaged to be married.
The story quickly takes a sharp and sudden turn at this point, and life for Lori and Chase will be forever changed.
While Ms. March is adept at creating emotional situations that are often serious and dramatic, her funny bone doesn’t always come out to play, at least not like it did with this book. I thought the humor, which was strategically placed at just the right moment, worked perfectly and was a nice touch.
However, a lump lodged in my throat more than once as Chase loses his mojo and Lori is the only one who can help him get it back so he can spread his wings and fly again.
I thought this approach to the second chance at love trope was unique and original. Lori and Chase were meant to be together, but couldn’t seem to overcome their personality differences. If one compromised for the other, they would end up being miserable and so it was a real conundrum, begging the question, is love enough? For a long while it would seem love might not pull through on this one, even though it was definitely there.
I thought Lori was the one who showed real courage, by stepping in and helping Chase heal. She knew it how it would end, and she did it anyway.
Chase is a character I slowly warmed up to, because I can identify with Lori more, and I have a hard time understanding folks with that thrill seeking, never stay in one place for long, type of personality. Of course, my heart broke for him, and I knew he needed to heal and get back to his old self again, no matter what, and to that end, I found myself cheering for him.
I had my doubts with this couple, and I do mean serious doubts, because while many times I have begun to think a couple will never resolve their problems, this story really had me worried. But of course, love sometimes has to call in reinforcements, and so hope, trust and faith swooped in to help save the day.
This is a very special story, with a just a slightly different atmosphere to it, I thought, compared to other books in this series. I thought it worked out perfectly, with such a fitting HEA, which left me with that goofy grin on my face... again.
I received an eARC, from NetGalley and the publisher, in exchange for an honest review. This is a very sweet sometimes funny Romance by Emily March about Chase Timberlake and Lori Reese. Chase and Lori dated when they were young but didn't stay together. Now we find that Chase is a adventure photography for a TV Show and ins not engaged to another women. Lori has always wanted to be a veterinary and knew she had to work hard to achieve that goal. Now we find them in the present day meeting again and finding out if they made the right decision. They really are getting a second change and we get to see if they take it.
When I first started this series, I found the books light, easy reads. It didn't take long before my assessment, along with my enjoyment, radically changed. The books, along with the stories, took on much more depth. The characters were much more complex. Nope, it didn't take long before the books became page-turners that I devoured and couldn't wait to jump to the next one. I haven't found a similar series since Robyn Carr's "Virgin River" that I enjoyed so much. Yep, I love these books. They are treat and a treasure. Onto the next one! ;)
Copy received from publishers via netgalley as part of the blog tour in exchange for an honest review.
This is my first time reading an Emily March book and definitely won't be my last, there was just something so sweet and heart-warming about this book that it was literally like reading my favourite book I knew what I was getting but it was just so charming I didn't care. some of the beautiful this Celeste says too are just ugh so charming and honestly this book just speaks to you. I totally love books like this full of heartbreak, loss, family and plenty of healing, they're just perfect for curling up with on the couch on a cold and dark night.
Even though I haven't read the previous books in this series I don't think it really matters you totally get a sense for the characters and the town of eternity springs that you literally can not put this book down. Chase and Lori were/are just perfect characters they tug on the heartstrings and make you adore them the pain and suffering that each have had to endure before they find there way back to each other is just captivating. There really is so many beautiful moments in this book it is hard to find a favourite but I can safely say this book totally warmed my heart and I can't wait for the next instalment in this series definitely a firm favourite. Everyone needs at least one heartwarming magical tale a year let this be yours. Happy reading everyone.
A beautifully crafted second chance at your first love romance that will tug at your heart, tickle your tear ducts, and massage your funny. I had a delightful read with times of sorrow, tears, and laughs getting to see Lori and Chase reunite again. This was my first read from Emily March and I found something that would bring me back again.
Loir has her heart set on the world she knows and Chase had his set on the world yet to be discovered. Their first crack at love and HEA was not what was expect but the second chance has something promising in store for them both.
For those of you new to Eternity Springs come on in and see the real deal and for those of you returning you will find what you have been missing since Heartsongs Cottage. Chase and Lori finally gets their chance to make a romance in the making happen for themselves.

#11 in the Eternity Springs romance/chick lit series
Thanks to NetGalley for a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I've been looking forward to Chase and Lori's story, and it definitely did not disappoint. We've gotten to know both of them quite well since they started being a couple way back when they were teenagers. It was assumed by many townspeople that they'd eventually end up together. Imagine everyone's surprise when Chase left town to become a world traveler, eventually bringing home a different fiancée. Lori, now a settled vet taking over Nick's Eternity Springs practice, is struggling with the new dynamic but recognizing that she and Chase are very different. When Chase goes through a very traumatic situation and comes back home to heal, he's a changed man and having trouble with plenty of his own demons. But Lori is the one who can get through to him. We can see that they complement each other very well, and I was definitely rooting for them to finally recognize that they brought out the best in each other. There were some sweet moments at the Rocking L summer camp and a nice introduction to Jax and Claire, the MC's of the next book in the series. Plenty of interaction with previous cast members. Celeste makes her usual predictions and leading statements, but her role is less now but much more effective, in my opinion. As usual, ably read by Amy Landon.
As always, March provides some hopeful food for thought: "...a brush with tragedy can affect us in two different ways. Either we can lose hope and descend into the darkness, or we can use the challenge to find our inner strength and make our way into the light. The easier path is to sink. The struggle to strength is a lesson these children live and display day after day." She's referring to the children at the camp, but of course we all know that she's talking directly to Chase.
Reunion Pass is book 11 in the Eternity Springs series, and for most fans of the series we have been waiting for this story almost from the very beginning of the series. This one isn’t as dark as some of her others but just as emotional; at about 30% of the way into it I was already teary eyed. Part of why I love Emily March is how she writes her active setting, Eternity Springs is written so well it almost seems to come to life as well as the people who live there. But mainly the reason I love them is that each book is an emotional journey to healing and love; in Chase and Lori’s case a second chance at love. Chase broke my heart in one of the previous books when he announced that he was getting engaged to another woman. From the beginning those two seemed inseparable and unbeknownst to everyone else they were in a very committed relationship. But life happens and as much as they loved each other their paths drifted. This book, their journey to finding each other again, is heartfelt and funny and as always Celeste is at her best.
The book starts off six years ago, when Lori and Chase are happy but this one event marks the pivotal point in their lives where they start to drift. Back to present day and the wedding of Chase and Lana’s wedding is quickly approaching when the chance of a life time comes up and the reality t.v. show that Chase and Lana are in gets prioritized and the wedding is postponed. Chase should have listened to his mother as soon as they get to the tiny country surrounded by waring nations he gets a bad feeling. Chase goes missing for over a week, almost two. When he comes back everything is changed, he is suffering from survivors guilt and mild case of PTSD. He closes himself off from everyone.
Lori, no matter how much she tried to convince herself she was no longer in love with Chase still loved him. When Chase was missing she final confessed everything to her mother about their relationship and how she still loved him and how it felt like he gave up on her. Lori was ready to step aside and just let Lana and Chase be happy but when Chase came back Lana and Chase ended things. Caitlyn, Chase’s sister asks Lori to help since she knows him better than anybody and the way Chase has been acting he needed a dose of hard love not the coddling his mother has been giving him; Lori is just the one to give it to him. Lori starts off with getting him a dog. Mac, Chase’s Dad, helps by giving him a purpose. And with some soul searching Chase finally works it out.
Overall, this is a must read for Eternity Spring fans. The book despite being slightly under 350 pages is easy to read, I inhaled it. It also could be read as a stand-alone, so if you haven’t read any of the series yet there is no problems starting with this one, but the past cast is so large some parts of the story might feel like you are missing out on something, but nothing really pivotal to the story line. There are a several flashbacks that help fill in information from their past but most of it is new information even for people who have read every book.
Another great story in the Eternity Springs books!! We have meet and saw the really early years of Chase and Lori's romance. This book gives us more insight to what happened to end it and what happened when they were away.
Lori has finally achieved her goal of becoming a vet. Chase has found a purpose with the photos he takes while doing extreme rafting trips and other adrenaline type activities. Lori has never really moved past the non-ending of their relationship and Chase is engaged to a fellow adrenaline junkie and reality star.
A trip of a lifetime for Chase ends with him coming back a broken man. It takes a small puppy, a trio of kids, and a steady love to bring Chase back to himself.
Lori is dealing with a new vet clinic and the fact that her first love is engaged to be married. Things come to a head when Chase comes back a different man than when he left. She tries to work through trust issues brought by both her father's departure before she was born and Chase's departure.
The rollercoaster of emotions played through out the book bring us back to both Chase and Lori coming to terms with their issues and earning their angel wings!
Wow! I was not expecting to fall in love with this book. It's nothing against the author. You all know I don't usually go for a "typical" romance book. This one sounded interesting, so I decided to give it a go. It definitely was not "typical" and was beyond what I had expected!
If you are expecting a sweet and loving read with this book, think again. This book is a tear-jerker. And if you know me, I do not say that very often. There were many parts I was covertly wiping my eyes (so much so, the husband thought I was picking my nose) and sniffling like a baby. This book will not only touch your heart, but it will break your heart.
Emily's writing is so unique and well-developed. I couldn't put this book down. Her characters are so full of life, energy, emotion. They are real and raw. Her story-telling is just the brand I love. I held my breath through so many parts of this story that it's a wonder I don't have brain damage from the lack of oxygen.
I would highly recommend this book to just about anyone, no matter your preferred reading genre. This book is one of those that will be universally loved by all.
I've been waiting for Lori and Chase's story and now that I have it I can only say it was well worth the wait. As with all the Eternity Springs stories the characters are fascinating, real, and someone you would want as your friend. Lori and Chase first met in high school and everyone in the small Eternity Springs community thought they would be together forever. Unfortunately life got in the way. Lori is pursuing her dream of becoming a vet while Chase is exploring a new career in action photography. With both of them so busy, the relationship just seemed to fall apart and they went their separate ways. That is until Chase returns a broken man and it seems that Lori is the only one who can get him living again.
This is a wonderful story and one you don't want to miss! I highly recommend it.
A Happy Ever After many books in the making, childhood sweethearts Lori Reese Murphy and Chase Timberlake make their way back to each other in typical Eternity Springs style. Although I note since Emily March has changed publishers to St Martins Press the steam level has risen a little which is always a good thing in my book, LOL.
Reunion Pass really tells two stories: Chase and Lori’s early love and how they drifted apart, and their friendship and second-chance love after Chase experiences a truly horrifying event that leaves him damaged both emotionally and physically. In a sense, that makes it a little like Dreamweaver Trail—a deeply wounded man who tries to hide from everyone and everything, and the woman who helps bring him out of it. But Reunion Pass is different from Dreamweaver Trail in significant ways. For one thing, there are a lot more flashbacks, many of which explore Chase and Lori’s first love and separation and Chase’s relationship with Lana, his fiance through much of the present part of the story. We also get some of the backstory of what happened to throw Chase into such a dark place, but the full extent of it isn’t revealed until closer to the end of the book.
The tight-knit Eternity Springs community shines in this book, as they rally to support Ali and Mack Timberlake when Chase goes missing. But it’s Lori who really amazes me — how did she get so wise, so young? She has an instinctive understanding of how to help Chase heal, which is clearly based both on her love for him and on her understanding of animals. (A veterinarian, Lori has come home to take over the practice from Nic Callahan, who decided to retire to focus on her growing family.) But then, Eternity Springs has always been about healing, and Lori grew up there… and grew up listening to Celeste Blessing, a truly wise woman if ever there was one.
Normally, I don’t like romances where one of the couple is involved with or worse, engaged to, someone else. But Ms. March handles Chase’s involvement with Lana extremely well. On the one hand, it’s clear that Chase never really got over Lori, and still has feelings for her. On the other hand, he doesn’t let himself dwell on them and seems committed to making things work with Lana even as I could see the cracks developing in their relationship. For her part, Lori tries to hide her pain while still being a friend. And after what happens to him, it’s so obvious that while Lana cares about Chase, she isn’t right for him (nor he for her); they’ve gone in different directions. But there’s no infidelity in the book, nothing that got my hackles up. I applaud Ms. March for successfully handling a situation that in other hands could have killed the story for me.
I like Chase, and I empathize with him, even though occasionally I wanted to shake some sense into him… but I love Lori. She’s caring, brave, loyal, and determined, a steadfast friend and a wise young woman.
I devoured Reunion Pass in one night. It cost me several hours of sleep I hadn’t anticipated losing, but it was worth every minute. Already, I can’t wait for book #12, Christmas in Eternity Springs, which will introduce two completely new characters to the series. It’s due out in early October.
Reunion Pass by Emily March was an emotional, heart felt book that I really enjoyed. What starts out as a second chance romance evolves into so much more with an intricate, multi layered plot with believable characters who worked their way into my heart and mind. There is tragedy, struggle, hope, and love all woven expertly into Reunion Pass.
Lori and Case were a couple in the past. They were young, going in different directions in their lives, and it just didn't work out at the time. Even now it might not work out. The feelings and emotions are still there for both of them, but there are a lot of other things going on in their lives, from Chase's fiancee, to a horrifying event he can't move on from, and unresolved feelings between Lori and Chase. These characters are mature though, and this shines through. There is no angst, just life moving on for Lori and Chase, wondering what will become of it, and if Chase can claw his way out of the hole of grief and anger he's in. We have seen glimpses of Lori and Chase in other Eternity Springs books, and it was so nice to get to know them in the present, as adults with life experiences. I really liked both of these characters and the build up, rocky road of this new relationship that may or may not work. I liked that neither of them tried to push the other into anything, although Chase did his best to push Lori away. Soon he finds out that Lori seems to be the only one who can help him, make him feel even remotely whole again. Lori just seems to know what Chase needs, and what to do to help him. The journey Chase and Lori are on is a very emotional one!
I liked being back in Eternity Springs and seeing the characters from other books in this series. Reunion Pass is completely Lori and Chase's story, but previous characters are woven in and significant to the plot. I especially liked seeing Celeste again (I'd love to read her story!)...she is the characters that has a strong presence in all of the Eternity Springs books. I like the small town, because it's good small town, and everyone pulls together. Every one cares.
In my mind Reunion Pass can be read as a stand alone, but I recommend reading the entire series (and you will love it!) to get a better understanding of what has gone on in previous books in this series that take it to where it is today.
A well developed, well paced romance, I'd recommend Reunion Pass to any romance reader! Thanks for taking me back to Eternity Springs for another incredible journey.
I received a free e copy for an honest review and am going to be buying the paperbook version!
I started the Eternity Springs series by March when it was released and while I enjoyed the series I ended up taking a break and missing some books in between but I also manage to come back to it.
This series if you haven't read it is mostly about second chances at love and healing. Each and every character has a different path they take or something they need to heal from. This story was no different.
Chase and Lori dated but while in college they were both sent on different paths of life. Lori has just finished school to become a veterinarian and is starting her own clinic when Chase returns to town with his fiancé. While she always hoped they would end up back together she now knows she has to move on but it's not as easy as she would like it to be.
Chase who is a world class photographer has been to so many places and seen so many things. His fiancé and there tv show are sent to a country that isn't completely safe for them. Chase goes missing and things happen. After being rescued he returns to Eternity Springs but he doesn't want to talk about what happened over there and pushes all who love him away. Finally Lori takes it upon herself to try to save the man she never stopped loving and hopes she isn't too late.
For me the story started out a little slow but it did contain a lot of details. It jumps from past to present throughout the book which I liked because we get to see what there were like as a couple, while apart and reconnecting. Reunion Pass kept me wondering and waiting to see when and how these two would finally get back together.
While I did enjoy this story I just didn't fall totally in love with it. Some parts I felt when I was reading were just fillers and didn't really need to be mentioned. I did love that this story was emotional but I like how March added some humor to break up some of those moments.
After I finished this story I realized how much I missed from not reading previous books and I hope one day I can get caught up. The good thing about this series is that while all the characters are enter twined together each book could be read as standalone. If you love second chance stories this one should definitely be added to your tbr pile.
This book was FAR more than I was expecting. Admittedly, I have missed the last few Eternity Springs novels, but HOLY CRAP, what a way to dive back in. Reunion Pass delievered and entirely new feel to the series for me. Ms. March gave 110,000% to Chase and Lori's book and I could not be more thrilled with it.
We meet up with Lori and Chase years after she's graduated college and has become the resident vet back in Eternity Springs. She's tried to stay away. She's tried to forget him. And Chase has done the same, even going as far as moving on with someone else. But when a horrific accident occurs that brings Chase back home, he's back home for good. But before he can even begin to convince Lori of that he has his own demons that he has to wrestle with. The kind of demons that Lori has to help him face, and the kind that only Eternity Springs can put to rest.
Chase and Lori are due their HEA, with glimpses of their past throughout the book it was so hard watching them come to terms that while love should be enough, you have to achieve your dreams and be happy with your life before you can honestly and wholeheartedly share that love with someone else. Once again the resident faith and love inspirer, Celeste Blessing helps the couple along from the sidelines as well as the entire community.
This book is definitely one I would love to be able to experience for the first time again. I sat down and devoured it in one sitting, and I both loved it and regretted it when I reached the end. This is a keeper and a book I think everyone would highly enjoy if you get your kicks from epic love stories and amazing storytelling.
Happy Reading! *ARC provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review*
At the risk of repeating myself, it was good to go home to Eternity Springs again! I just love the people there! This particular story is a little darker than earlier books in the series, and it deals with present day horrors and the effect they have on those involved. Lori and Chase were in love and in different places six years ago. She was in college and planning her future as a veterinarian, he was living his dream of photographing and experiencing life on the edge. Slowly they drifted apart, and went on with their lives. Now Lori is back home as Eternity Springs new vet, and Chase has come home with his fiance, Lana, to be married in his home town. As a now world famous photographer, Chase has one more trip planned with Lana who shares his love of life on the wild side, before the wedding. Lori realizes that she still has feelings for Chase but must now accept that he has chosen someone else. When the unthinkable happens, all of Eternity Springs pulls together to support Chases' family, and Lori realizes her feelings are deeper than she thought. This story beautifully deals with the horror of PTSD and how it changes a person. Sometimes love just isn't enough. Sometimes you need a place like Eternity Springs to heal, a person like Celeste Blessing to speak wise words, and knowing that you are not alone in your despair to learn how to live again. One of my favorite Celeste-isms is "courage is a muscle that is strengthened by use", and as always it is very appropriate for this story. Have your tissues ready, you will have tears of sadness and joy during this trip!
Having read several of the Eternity Springs novels, I was looking forward to Lori and Chase's story. And it certainly did not disappoint! I will admit there were time when I wasn't sure Chase was going to realize just where his heart really belonged but eventually the healing magic of Eternity Springs came through again for Lori and Chase. Emily March has created a heartwarming cast of characters in her fictional town of Eternity Springs that you just can't wait to return to with each novel. Small town second chance romance at it's best. And as an added bonus each novel lets you catch up with all of the other couples that were featured in other books. Even if you've never read the other stories in the series, the updates just flow naturally into the series so new readers are never left in the dark.
I was so excited to read that I'd won Reunion Pass from St. Martin's Press in a GoodReads giveaway! I have thoroughly enjoyed this series, and look forward to it continuing. I don't enjoy reviews that repeat the book's blurb or give spoilers, but I enjoyed this story too much not to comment. That noted, I have been irritated that things were looking down for Chase and Lori. Although they were young sometimes true love works from a young age and I like books that show that truth. Reunion Pass has a great combination of past and current stories of their love and friendship and I truly enjoyed watching their story unfold. I've carried the book around all day sneaking reads and I am sorry that it's ended.
"Reunion Pass" (Eternity Springs Book 11) by Emily March is a fantastic read. This story will make you teary one minute and laughing the next. I absolutely loved Chase and Lori's story! This is an excellent addition to the wonderful Eternity Springs Series. Highly recommend to all fans of romance, series, highly entertaining interesting characters, love, overcoming tragedy, second chances, and so much more. I can't wait to see what happens next in Eternity Spring!
In Reunion Pass we come back to Eternity Springs and meet the adult Chase & Lori. Chase still has wanderlust and Lori still has abandonment issues and then REAL life happens. This was a great book to reconnect with most of our old friends in Eternity Springs.
I love the way Emily March combines a sweet, almost mystical town and its residents with stories of pain and trials. The road to Eternity Springs is not always an easy one but well worth the effort.
Another excellent book in the Eternity Spring Series. We revisit Chase and Lori to find out what happened to their young romance. Lovely read for a lazy afternoon.

I would give this 4.5 stars. With each book I read in this series I claim that is my favourite but this is definitely top of my list right now. Lori and Chase had a thing for each other ever since he started working a summer job at a local ranch while she was still working in her mother's store in Eternity Springs. They dated both publicly and secretly when she was going to university. But she had her goals set on becoming a vet and he wanted to see the world, so they slowly drifted apart. Years later he appears in town with a famous fiance and a job as a world class photography working for a reality TV show that takes him to exotic places. What's not to love? Lori is no shirk either since she has become a veterinarian, returned home, bought a veterinary practice and settled into her own place. However Chase's last job takes him into danger and he comes back a crippled human being - not physically but mentally. No one seems to be able to help him, including his fiancee who has some guilt issues of her own to work through. But Lori won't caudle him and slowly she sees glimpses of the old Chase coming back. But can she trust him with her heart again? Loved this book. As a mother I can appreciate what Chase's parents go through when he is missing and presumed dead. The despair and guilt that Chase feels is palpable.
Second chances romance with high school sweethearts finding love after school and life pull them apart. This would have made more sense if Chase Timberlake and Lori Reese where about to turn 30, but that they are still in the mid-twenties is too soon. They are first loves which will always get me to buy the book when I see that on the back cover, but they don't have enough time to make mistakes or become adults when they have trauma that brings them back together and in under a year they are married?! What?! That is way too quick. There is obviously a HEA in this story, although Chase is with another smart lady for the first half of the story. I still enjoyed this well written story, but it needed to be spread out a little more and have less flashbacks from so many other characters. I felt like this is part of a series and there were too many characters that I should know from their own books, but are superficially introduced too quick. Half the book is about Chase and Lori and half the book is about the community of Eternity Springs. 316 pages and bought at a library sale 2 stars
Ugh! I want this to be a 5 but it’s more like a 4.5. I really loved the intensity that Chase’s story brought to the plot. The actual love story between Chase and Lori was a 5! I connected with the characters and really felt the love between them. My annoyance came from a few of the side characters. Towards the end, there was a lot of what i feel was undeserved pressure put on one of the main characters. I realize this is a fictional world in a nearly utopian town but, in the real world, I think most sane people wouldn’t act that way. I really liked how they referenced God and faith in a way that wasn’t “pushy” and also embraced the realities of today’s society. In other words, sex outside of marriage was not omitted. There wasn’t a ton of swearing or foul language but she didn’t completely shy away from it either. The references to depression and PTSD made total sense and I think the author did a good job in showing the depth of the pain.
**My thanks to NetGalley and St Martin's Press, for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**
This is very much a second chance romance and can be read as a stand alone book.
The book is sweet and funny at times, but does explore the darker side of things with Chase going through PTSD and when he flashes back to what he experienced when he was abroad for his job.
This book is better than the last one where too much was thrown at it and mainly just focuses on Chase away and then in recovery mode and Lori moving back home to take over the vet practice.
The book certainly had me in tears a few times, and you did have to feel sorry for Lana with the way that Chase treated her.
After reading this book i am more inclined to read the beginning of the series to catch up with the other members of Eternity Springs.
