This is the second part of the Zodiac Legacy. While the first one was nice to read, I was missing something to make it stand out from all the other available stories about superhero teams. I was hoping that this book would set it apart better.

Unfortunately, that didn't happen for me. I didn't like the series enough to continue with it any further.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

'Zodiac: Power Lines' by Stan Lee and Stuart Moore is part two of the series about heroes who get their powers from animals in the Chinese zodiac.

This time around Steven Lee and his team are on board a high speed train in France when it goes out of control. He is Rabbit. He is on board with LIam, who is Ram, Duane, the Pig, and Roxanne, the Rooster. Hovering in a plane above their head is their newest member, Ox, who used to fight for the bad guys. Ox is told to stay put, but he wants to help. The problem is that Rabbit and his team don't trust him yet. Meanwhile, the train is getting more unstable and the team needs to find a way to stop it.

The whole book takes place on the train. There isn't much of a hint as to why they are on the train or what has caused it to go out of control. It feels like the middle of a story. The art is just okay. For a kid's comic, I suppose this is okay, but I've read better comics written for younger audiences.

I received a review copy of this graphic novel from Papercutz and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this graphic novel.

NetGalley Review
This is only a small snippet of what the heroes face on a daily basis. With how short the story is, you are still provided with a lot of background information from previous books. The team is still working out a few kinks. With the new addition to their team, trust is key.
The artwork isn't my favorite and appears inconsistent in some parts. For example, the book begins with a fill cast list consisting of a photo and a blurb to match. However, a few character's blurbs and names are covered up by their photos. Not only that, but some of the panels appeared to be out of place. It's nothing drastic that will prevent you from understanding what it going on. However, when one panel shows a character safe on the ground beside the train and the next jumping from the train tracks. I hoping that it is fixed in the actual copy.

The whole idea was pretty exciting when I first heard about it. The first part appeared to be quite disappointing, so I got my hopes up for the 2nd one and the execution left a lot to be desired even comparing to the 1st one.
It was simply boring, fights were rushed, characters stayed blank for me, I did not care for them at all, no personality, nothing.
All the time reading felt that I was missing something, it was the same feeling I got with the first part.
I don't think I am going to continue to read it.
Have no interest at all and it is sad, I had high hopes for those comics.

Really difficult to read as a stand alone story. Obviously, this is meant to occur between the prose novels (which I haven't read), so there's references to a lot of things that aren't in this book. And even though it's listed as #2, it doesn't follow issue 1. So I felt pretty lost the whole time I was reading this. That being said, the art was great and Moore is a pretty good writer. This book just doesn't work well on its own.

Another great installment of the Zodiac Legacy series.

With incredible graphics/illustrations and clear writing, it's so easy to follow the story as these powerful kids embark on another adventure. I loved the little addition of the French translations and how discreetly they were offered.

This was a whole new story, with a new character and an exploration of some of the characters we didn't see front-and-centre in the first part. It's great to know that each character will get their own chance to show their story and feelings on the sudden transformation into having Zodiac powers within the series.

There's a little something for everyone – an emotional attachment to the characters, a diverse range of backgrounds to the characters and a nice mix of trying to adapt to their powers and using them in the next adventure.

A further completely disposable one-shot from the Zodiac Legacy world. This has a bit more to it than the first graphic novel, but once more is over far too quickly, leaving us short-changed with something that like as not has very, very little bearing on the real novels this franchise should have settled with. Some of the Zodiac kids are on a runaway train, and they're debating both their place in the world, as teens are wont to do, and worrying about a turncoat in their midst. It doesn't get as risible as the first book achieved, even if it does feature some awful ideas about stopping the train, and the final dash to impact must have been played out at half-speed, but it's still entirely dispensable.

Part of the Zodiac team has to stop a runaway French bullet train before it crashes. Standard super-hero trope with no background or tie in the book one. Read only if you want to find out what is happening.

a good comic and proof that it would make a decent animated series. of course, being a comic for kids, there were some physics-defying mayhem: the train was going far too fast for them to stop it the way they had - there was too much time allotted for them to strategize. But that is a small criticism; it was a fun read

I was excited for a second trip into the Zodiac universe, after enjoying the first outing. However, not much happened in this issue and that wasn't helped by the bare narrative and standard illustration style. Unfortunately, a miss for me.
