It never occurred to me to question what I was doing and why I wasn’t free to do what I wanted.I kept on going to those boring offices to do unfulfilling work, day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year.Now, I’ve just got back from a eight-month long vacation where I was travelling whilst working on my online business.How did I turn my life around? The first step was the mindset shift which is explained in this book. I also explain how the mindset shift was an essential entrepreneurial decision that helped me start businesses on the Internet.

I read 3 books regarding the mindset and reality topics in less than a year, so I had some relevant material to compare between them.

Rob's book is coming second among them. I found the core of his book- about the nature of time and consciousness- to be the weakest. In places it was like abstruse blabbering. I also think he went a bit too extreme with "there is no good or bad." I'm sure the intention was noble and I can sense where he was going to, but moral relativism is the last thing we need on this planet.

And that's all about critique. I had also some extenuations for Rob. Firstly, he was right saying that it's hard to reflect those concepts in words. The two others authors both said the same and one did much worse job in that regard. Rob's perspective didn't harmonize with me. I think How to Find Peace by Beau Norton was much better in this regard. Secondly, and I deeply respect Rob for that, he also said: "Don’t take my advice," encouraging his readers to draw their own conclusions. He doesn't force his point of view.

The rest of the book is simply great. Was it a bit woo-woo? Absolutely. Do these woo-woo things work? Well, I've already tried a few of them and they worked for me. They clearly work for Rob Cubbon. So what were they?

Meditation. This is the activity that many successful and powerful people recommend. It wasn't appealing for me, but under my coach's pressure I started it and I reaped some minor benefits. Maybe they weren't so huge as in the "Free Your Thought" author's case, but I found earlier another way to awareness and focus- journaling.

Visualization. Rob described a few really basic techniques. I was taught visualization by my close friend who was NLP trainer. I got the access to much more advanced techniques. But you know what? They don't do me much good, because I don't use them. You should worry about more advanced techniques only after you master the basic ones. What the author presents here is fully sufficient for beginners.

Affirmations. In my opinion this is the best part of this book. Rob nailed the exact way one should use affirmations. The "Affirmations" chapter is a masterpiece and "Free Your Thought" is worth its price just because of that.
Thus, I encourage you to read the book and draw your own conclusions. If there is just one thing to take out of this book is that your mind can really mess with your life, so you should pay close attention what's going inside your head.

And a few words about the author and the style of the book. Rob is a real deal, genuine, vulnerable and authentic. His transparency, honesty and openness are admirable. He is not afraid to expose his dark side and truly despicable deeds, habits and attitudes. This is the best way to teach others- showing by your example what works and what doesn't.

BREAK FREE AND LIVE YOUR LIFE WITH THIS BOOK!

If you want to break free and live life on your terms, while doing the work that makes a difference and adds value to other people's lives, than you should read this book. Rob Cubbon shares some of his best advice and strategies here on how to develop the entrepreneur mindset by first gaining control over your thoughts. Although this concept has been preached for thousands of years, most people still operate from a mindset that sets them up for failure. In this book, it puts you back on track, by putting you on the right path instead of the wrong one. The book and Rob's voice is both encouraging and inspiring. But best of all, he encourages readers/students to take action.

Here are some solid reasons why I highly recommend this book from Rob Cubbon:

-- A strong focus on living in the present moment as the only real reality we have;
-- A great approach on life not just from the perspective that we are "simply human beings" but divine creatures capable of anything.
-- The material delivers an approach that digs deep and encourages readers to strongly evaluate their level of thinking;
-- Explains, "You are the experience" and "Not the Experiencer"
-- What it means to Label things, and how to catch your negative thinking when you start to put negative labels on people and events
-- Don't judge people because they are loved too; when we form judgments bout other religions, cultures and peoples, it diminished our peace of mind and generates anger.
-- Why you should meditate and all the great benefits that go with it. In this chapter Rob teaches us the easy way to meditate, where and what to do while meditating, such as focusing on breathing and being consistent with meditating as a habit.
— Accepting the present moment as it is and learning to merge into it, and realizing there is no past or future—just right now!
— Defining what more money actually means to you.
— The power of affirmations and how to make them work for you; turning an affirmation into a positive statement that focuses on helping other people

With Rob Cubbon’s book you will learn a lot about creating a new mindset that is positive, creative, and energetic. You will be able to gain better control of your thoughts by staying focused in the moment as it is happening; you will feel great about yourself when you stop judging, complaining and gossiping about others and realize that we are all “Spiritual Beings on a Human Journey.”

This book came into my life at exactly the right time. It was a poignant and powerful reminder of the simple steps we need to take to improve our prospects. When we become stressed we often become less resourceful, and this book helped me get back into my resourceful state and take action to use the tools that I have, and seek new ones. If you're in any way stuck, this book will help you get back on an even keel and start plugging away at success.

Always looking for happiness

I was intrigued by the title (it had me at hello). But with all books in the self help arena, would it work. And I was pleased to not only be entertained, but also to receive actionable advice. Simple as it is, I began the meditation techniques right away and implement ed it in my routine.

Different perspectives

Different perspectives on reality and positive thinking especially if you have read other books on those subjects. I do agree about not watching the news. I am going to give meditation a try.
