It is a good book on knee pain which took me a long time to read, as I now have 2 artificial knees. Even though meant for women, most of the book would apply to men with knee problems. Very comprehensive in treatment options and very easy to understand.
Author is a D.O. (Osteopath) and gives very good description of the many things that can go wrong with your knee. My year and a half with orthopedic surgeons left me with very little understanding of what was going on in my knees and why they thought arthroscopic surgery would help. It is such a complicated joint and there are many bones, ligaments, cartilage parts, tendons, fluids, nerves and muscles than be damaged or go awry from injury or over use. I now "get" why my second knee still hurts and is not right, and I will soon start with a physical therapist and exercise therapist to work on correcting the underlying problem. I really do not want to have knee replacement 10 yrs from now, as the doc predicted.
