Neuroscience is revolutionizing our understanding of human psychology and behaviour. By showing how to apply this new understanding to how you recruit, manage, and develop your people, Brann is enabling you to deliver a step change in organizational performance and individual achievement.
This book felt unpolished, like it was cobbled together from dictated notes with dictated sound bytes from others pasted in. I had to resort to reading aloud to try to glean the point of some paragraphs. I was unimpressed with the neuroscience citations; they carried unnecessary jargon when the point could have been clearer and more accessible to a wider audience by generalizing or explaining a little. The manuscript needed stronger editing, both for copy and for legibility. I would recommend being well versed in change management before taking this on. Going through it was akin to reading through someone else class notes. I was able to fill in the gaps because I’ve read the authors cites. Had I come to this book without that background, I would have thrown it in the rubbish heap. That said, it didn’t add much to the greater discussion.
