"Years after the haunting childhood complete with Robbery, drug and alcohol abuse as well as living on the streets, a renewed David Hemsworth finds himself in a long-term relationship with do-gooder Oliver Greene, who happened to guide him on the pathway to a brighter future.
Six years down the line from establishing stability in their lives, a call comes through confirming that Oliver has a cancerous growth. From that moment on David makes it his duty to give Oliver the time of his life, and re-awaken the long lost love that they'd had and treasured for so long.
With the help of their boisterous dog, David embarks on the holiday of a lifetime, a chance for Oliver to capture enough warm memories for the both of them ... He just hopes that it isn't his last."

This story is such an intense character study and really brings to life the emotional turmoil of loved ones who care for someone who is [terminally?] ill. The relationship that's built up between the two main characters is rife with emotion and spans over the course of a few weeks. It's built around David's desperate attempt for one last, amazing holiday with his sick lover Oliver. Together they try to build up new memories as Oliver's cancer spirals out of control.
With troublesome friends and cold doctors, this story breaks the heart into pieces over and over again -however it does have small moments of hope, lots of love, and humour for two men at the very end of their tethers. Well worth a read but bring the tissues!
