Gabrielle Craig Lord is an Australian writer who has been described as Australia's first lady of crime.

She survived being ‘razed’ by the nuns, acquired an education despite this, and after working in many different areas, sales, teaching, brick-cleaning, peach-picking and packing, and in the Public Service as an employment officer, started writing seriously aged 30.

Her first two manuscripts ended up composting the tomatoes at her market garden – another attempt to make a living – but the third one FORTRESS was picked up internationally and made into a feature film starring Rachel Ward. A later novel WHIPPING BOY was made into a telemovie starring Sigrid Thornton. The film rights money, coinciding with her daughter leaving school, allowed Gabrielle to resign and instead of getting up at 4.30am and writing for several hours before heading off for work, she could write full-time and lead a more ‘normal’ writer’s life – hanging around with scientists and detectives, badgering forensic anthropologists (she studied some Anatomy at Sydney university) and doing work experience with a busy private security business and of course, writing.

Research is everything, she says. ‘Out of my contacts with experts (who are always far too modest to describe themselves that way) I get not only the fine-tuning necessary for today’s savvy readers, but also wonderful incidents and images that enrich and enlarge my books.’

Gabrielle’s interests are very simple. ‘After a misspent youth, I don’t have many brain cells left so I enjoy walking, meditation, singing, gardening, chatting with close friends, being with my family and grandkids, feeding my goldfish and keeping up to date with bodywork and enlightened psychotherapy.’

Gabrielle has now written fourteen adult novels and a novel for young adults. Once the 12 books of Conspiracy 365 are completed, this tally will be a tad bigger! Following this mammoth endeavour she already has plans for another three adult novels and two more YAs.

This was a really great book I thought. It started then him and his two friends were stuck in a tank because they were trying to rescue Winter the one that was already in the tank. They thought Winter was dead but Griff said that she was breathing and told Cal to take his hands off her.She woke up and freaked out and Cal calmed her down.Afterwards they tried to figure ways out of the tank but then Cal figured out that he had a distress beacon in the side of his shoe.He took it out and pressed the button which made it so his friend Boges could tell where they are.The next day he thought it was the enemies Sligo and Zombie Two but when the tank opened Cal,Winter and Griff jumped at them but it was Boges and their friend Sharkey. So afterwards Sharkey dropped everyone to their places but Cal and Winter are staying in a tree house because it is to dangerous for them. The next few days they had to meet at the gym to find their plan to get out of the country to figure out the Ormond Singularity which would take away all of Cal's problems. They had to get different identities so all four of them got four different identities. Two days later Cal goes over to Ryan's(twin brother) house and tries and calls his mom and tell her that Samuel(Ryan) is still alive and is with me right now but Cal's mom doesn't believe him so it doesn't work out. After that he goes to the gymt o meet with his friends and then Cal's little sister calls and says that their mom freaked out and ran out the house and went to her friend's house so she calms down and their Uncle was going to give her medications to calm her down. Then Cal's sister wants him to meet her in front of their house and then they do and he tells her to go home and Cal's go inside the house and finds a big missing piece of the Ormond Singularity the Ormond Jewel and the Ormond Riddle. They meet in the park and afterwards the all go home. The next week the four meet at the gym and started heading for the airport. They stick as a group because the cops are looking for a individual not a group. So they get close to their plane but then they asked for a fingerprint test now Cal is really scared because he is going to get caught and will be tooken in by the cops. Then something big happens on the news Ryan takes a car and runs into the Police Headquarters and then starts to run on foot but gets caught and they think it's Callum because their twins. They get on their plane and they didn't ask for a fingerprint test. They get to Ireland and stay at a motel while Sharkey goes with his family to their Sharkey reunion. Cal,Boges, and Winter go meet a person who knows a lot about the Ormond Singularity. They meet him and ask him about the last two lines on the Ormond Riddle because their missing and he says they might be in a book called Living of the Saints. The book will be in the book sale in two days and the book keeper tells them that their "friend" is looking for them and the person is Sligo and they get really scared because Sligo might try to kill Cal, and Winter. They leave afterwards and goes to the place where the book sale is and they are unloading books and it's really dark so they sneak inside the house and looks in all the boxes for the book Living of the Saints but its not in any of the boxes and they hear someone and they hide under the farthest table. Then Cal see's the book its in a box under the table and he grabs it and after they leave and go to the motel and went to bed.The next day December 29th the go the book keeper but once they get their it was all silent and they go inside his room and Winter see's a arm and the book keeper is dead and they think it was Sligo. The go to the place where Cal's dad stayed last year and the maiden shows where his dad stayed and there was wardrobe where his dad puts another piece of the Ormond Singularity and its a map and it shows something in the middle and its the Insuire Marsh. Then they heard the maiden scream because she had left the room.Boges went to go check and it was Sligo and Zombie Two.They had to jump out the window and Cal started to run away and told Boges, and Winter to go somewhere else instead of following him.He ran through the streets then he had to throw his backpack into a boat with a tarp over it. He ran through an alley and started to head for the forest. Then Zombie Two came from the side and tackled Cal and brought him to Sligo's car. They started to head for the Dundrum Oubliette.Which is a wide dungeon underground and the only way out is a trapdoor on top of it.They throw Cal inside their and he had to go roll in a ball to avoid the spikes. He is stuck there for the night.Once he wakes up he tries to rip off pieces of his shirt and undershirt to make a rope.He tries to use it but once he tries to get up he falls and he gets scratched by the spikes. That night he asked for the Ormond Angel to come but then he see's a shadow and then he see's another shadow. He says heee-llloooo and someone said Cal.He saw it was his Uncle Rafe.Rafe saves him from the dungeon by using a rope.He brings him by the boats to pick up his backpack it's soggy but ok and he heres a gunshot. He runs up there and finds his Uncle half flung out the car and when he opened up his coat there was a huge blood spot and he got shot.Cal passes out.The next day is the last day of the Ormond Singularity to run out or Cal won't have his problems away.He is in a tent where Boges and Winter are.The cops are looking for Cal because he is a fugitive. The cops go to the tents but the gypsy told them to go inside a box that is a big enough to fit all 3 of them.1 hour and 30 mins they are gone and someone says here comes someone else but it was just Sharkey. Sharkey was sorry for Cal and he had to leave again for his family reunion. Then Cal trips over the Lives of the Saints book. Then he throws it against the tent and it falls then something falls out of it.It was the last 2 lines of the Ormond Riddle. They have to use this coding device to figure out what apye means. They started to head for the 3 castles in the Insuire Marsh. Then Winter figures what apye means because she use the device and switched the letters around and it was crag.Cal says Cragkill Keep. The one of the three castles and that's where everything is.They boat to Cragkill Keep. It was blocked by a fence but they jump over it anyways. They use their flashlights to lead the way. There was a bulldozer outside of the building. They started to figure things out in the castle. The bulldozer started up and started to tear it down. Then they figure out the floor tiling. There was 3 red tiles and 11 white tiles. They had to take 14 steps but the last 3 had to be red tiles. Then something opens and it was a monkey holding a ball. Then part of the building falls off and knocks the monkey away. Then something falls off and there was a treasure chest behind it.They went to go grab it before the castle falls down. Sharkey appears and helps them to take the chest out and they get it out. Sharkey went to go grab bags to put the gems and jewelry inside their. Then they put the gems and jewelry in the bags. Then they bring it to Sharkey's car. Then Sharkey pulls out a gun and tells them not to do anything or they will get shot. They gave him the bags of jewelry. Then the bullozer starts and the front part hits the car and kills Sharkey.

Book Review
My book review is on Conspiracy 365 December. The reading level is a bit low its 4 grad threw 5th grade reading level the lexile is 680.the author is Gabrielle LORD at the beginning of the book Cal is trying to find a plane that will fly him to Ireland but the cops are on him all the time. So Cal,Winter,Boges, and his friend (they don’t identify him in the book) they all make fake passports so they can make it to Ireland, but that plan doesn't work very well they get to the airport and there is alot of cops there and the cops check random peoples fingerprints so one of the cops tells the group to go there but then cals brother runs into the cop station with a car because he knows cal is trying to get out of the country. They make it out of the county they go to there hotel and rent a room for a couple of weeks then Boges friend has to go to a family reunion so he leaves and Cal,Winter and Boges go to the book shop to see this guy that knows something about the mystery and they see him and Call is very cautious because of the bad guys are after him. The guy at the bookshop tells Cal to go to his house at 8 so Cal gets there and the guy is dead on the floor because they bad guys killed him then Cal runs home and tells his friends and they call the cops there is no trace of who killed him. Then Cal gets caught by Siligo the bad guy and gets thrown into a well and cant get out so Cal is waiting and waiting and waiting Cal starts to prey then his stepdad comes and Cal thought it was an angel he gets rescued and now they know where the mystery place is at so they find a boat and ride it down a river and they get to the spot. The bad guys surround Cal,Winter, and Boges so they get back in the boat and the bad guys see each other and think it Cal so they westle and drown in the water.
Cal and his friends walk up to the place and they check it out and start to find out the riddle, then a guy with a buldoser comes buy and is knocking down the building so
Cal and his friends start to drag the chest out and Boges friend punches the guy in the bulldozer in the face they get outside and they check the chest. There is gold coins, letters, jewelry in the chest so they put it in the back of Boges friend truck and he drives off and it turns out the stepdad killed one of the family members and tried to kill Cal and his friend with his bulldozer when they were grabbing the chest then there is a fight between the step dad a cal.

I think the setting affects the character because it's in a big country he isn't as paranoid because they can't find him really easy they have to look longer and harder to find them and there is alot of hiding spots for cal. Also more on the lookout for the bad guys and also he has a lot of good hiding spots and that's good so they cant find him. And winter is a really good finder because she found the mystery place because she is so smart.

My opinion about this book is it is good i recommend it to other kids. I like this book because it has action and also it is a mystery and i like mysteries they are fun to read. My favorite part about this book is that they found the chest full of coins, pappers, and jewlery and how happy they were when they found it. Also how everything switched up at the end and the whole time the stepdad was trying to kill cal and his friends and that he killed one of the family members.

This book is about a boy called Callum trying to track down and work out what the Ormond Singularity is. My favourite of the story is at the end when everyone like Rafe Ormond, Eric Blair, Nelson Sharkey and Winter, Cal, and Boges are all double crossing each other. My favourite character is Callum because he shows that even though you are a teen fugitive, being chased by everyone from major criminals, ex-detectives, police and his own family, while his friends are the only people he can trust.

When all things prove to fail, it can always be worse.

I decided to read this book because my Aunty gave me a couple books from the series and told me that it is a good read. I liked the book because even though that all the books were linked together, it still feels like that each book has its seperate adventure. Some thing new I learned from this read was that time is limited and if not used correctly, it can be fatal. I liked the main character Callum Ormond because he uses everything around to get out of any simulation, he smart like that.

The saga has come to a close and WOOO BUDDY are there unexpected twists!!

Cal, Winter, and Boges FINALLY get to Ireland with the help of Nelson Sharkey (and Ryan creating a diversion). The gang gets to Ireland on December 23... leaving them a WEEK to solve EVERYTHING! Talk about cutting it close!

**SPOILER**
Once in Ireland, Sligo kidnaps and attempts to murder Cal (again) by throwing him down an oubliette, where Cal "magically" misses the large spike at the bottom. He then spends 2 days down there, almost freezing death in the middle of a cold and wet Irish winter when MAGICALLY Uncle Rafe shows up and finds him! HOW? He claims he followed Sligo's car tracks after Cal was abducted but... that doesn't make sense to me. Also, WHY is Rafe in Ireland suddenly?? So once Rafe saves Cal, they head back to the guest house where Cal, Boges, and Winter were staying, but first Cal needs to pick up his backpack that he stashed while on the run from Sligo. But while Cal is doing that, Rafe get SHOT and killed! WTF?!?

FINALLY in the evening of DECEMBER 31 Cal, Winter, and Boges make their way to Tom Butler's castles. On the way THERE they finally decipher the Caesar shift int he last two lines of the Riddle, which tells them WHICH castle to search for the Ormond Treasure. Along the way Sligo and Zombie Two show up, patrolling the bog waiting for the kids to show up, except *SURPRISE* Sumo shows on Oriana's behalf and all three of them get into a brawl, only to find themselves in the bog being sucked down... #byebye

Once Cal, Winter, and Boges make it to the castle ruins, SOMEONE starts up a backhoe to bring the ruins down on them while they're inside! So Cal, Winter, and Boges are scrambling to find the treasure, using the Riddle and marking in the castle to guide them, and it needs to be found BEFORE midnight and BEFORE the backhoe kills them all!

Guess what - they find the treasure, thanks to the backhoe bringing down one of the walls. (For some reason the entire time I was reading the series I didn't think there was an actual treasure. I just thought it was going to be some document stating "Yup. Queen Elizabeth and Tom Butler had an illegitimate child and that person is the Ormond Singularity and the right to some fortune", but no - there was ACTUAL gold and jewels!! ... And the document confirming my theory about Cal being an heir to Queen Elizabeth the First.) So that makes sense why other people were looking. There WAS treasure to be found.

Then comes the twist - Sharkey has been working with Rafe (WHO'S NOT DEAD AND WAS THE DRIVER OF THE BACKHOE!) to find the Ormond Singularity/Treasure! Sharkey is NOT on the kids' side!! It was all a ploy to get them to trust him so they would lead him (and Rafe) to the treasure!!!

But here's my big question: WHY didn't Rafe just work with his brother (who he poisoned btw) or Cal to find it TOGETHER??? Rafe is an Ormond! He's Cal's dad's twin! Did he think that Cal's dad wouldn't share it?! WHY try to stop his brother, and Cal, from finding it??? Also - WHY did he have Cal and Ryan kidnapped 16 years ago??? (Yes - Rafe was responsible for that). What the hell was the point of that?? THAT was my biggest confusion: Rafe's motive for everything. It made no sense.

Overall, I really enjoyed the series. It would be a fun television series, and while there were plenty of "oh come on!" moments, it was fun to read and hard to put down!

I had high hopes for this conclusion and am satisfied with how it all ended. After 11 consecutive books ending in a formulaic cliffhanger, I was worried I wouldn't like actually having conclusions, but there was enough urgency built up at the end to still make the story engaging. Going into it, I was suspicious of everybody. I was sorta expecting Boges to be a double agent. Rafe wasn't looking great either but his character could go either way. I laughed out loud when just after proudly handing out forged passports, Sharkey says he doesn't like lying. I know we had to draw the story out through the whole year, but in their supposed "hurry" to get to Ireland, they sure did wait till the last minute to go! When Dr. Brinsley wants to tell them more but they have to wait until the next evening, I said out loud, "Oh heck no, you take us to your house right now, you idiot!" It turns out I could have saved his life. The book didn't end in a hugely fantastic way where I would want to hug the book and recommend the series to all my friends right this minute, but I think all the loose ends were wrapped up there at the very end, and I don't feel the series was a waste of my time. I know a lot of people that would love to read this. I could see it being made into a TV mini series. It has parts of The Princess Bride, Indiana Jones, Alias, and Da Vinci Code. I won't be reading the spinoff series; I need a break from Cal now that I know he's okay.

Ooh, a thicker one...
Winter alive. #kidsseries
FINALLY! Cal and Ryan connected

TOTALLY called Uncle Rafe as the villain from the beginning. Mum acted the way she did because Rafe WAS poisoning her (called it)--he was an ex-botanist. Rafe wanted to get out from Tom's (Cal's dad's) shadow AND was behind Cal and Ryan's abduction.

Pretty stereotypical action movie at the end with a traitor and the "I TRUSTED YOU!" spiel, but still good and everything ended well.

Cal, Gabbi, and Mum got back together and Ryan becomes a part of their lives. Excited to see what Revenge is is about. This book implied that Sligo escaped the bog drowning.

With all the trauma Cal's been through, I would have liked to have seen a hospital recuperation phase, but that's what fanfic is for.

"The Fugitive" meets "A Series of Unfortunate Events" meets "National Treasure"

This is the best series I've read in a LONG time. I haven't been this into a series since Francine Rivers' "The Mark of the Lion".

The book "Conspiracy 365: December" was the greatest book I've ever read! The book starts with Cal , Winter, and another kid he met trapped in a storage container left to starve. They escape by being let out by Boges and Sharkey. Once escaped, they realize that they only have one month left until the Ormund Singularity runs out. Cal gets a lot of money for trading in his gold from the prospectors. He gives this money to Sharkey who prints fake passports for Cal, Boges, Winter, and himself. With these passports they plan to head to Ireland to discover the mystery. After barely passing security at the airport, the 4 make it over to Ireland but Sharkey must attend a family reunion, leaving the 3 friends to explore themselves. After a strange series of events, they notice that have been followed to Ireland by Sligo who keeps killing off people who have helped them. In a final crazy sequence of events, Cal finally discovers the Ormund "treasure" in an old castle ruin before midnight and he is relieved! Suddenly, Sharkey turns on the three and pulls out a pistol and drives off in a truck, treasure in hand with the 3 left in the dust, stunned. Then a bulldozer driven by Rafe runs over Sharkey and kills him. The last crazy truth reviled is that Rafe killed Cal's father and is behind most of the mysterious happenings throughout the year. Rafe dies after being crushed by the Ormund Angel statue.
I would not change anything about this book because it was just plain amazing and I was gripped on the edge of my seat with the turn of every page.
I would recommend this series to anybody who enjoys a lot of mystery and action in an amazing 12-book series! These were the best books ever!

Finally the last installment in the series. I found it to be a great ending that even had a little surprise for me because of a plot twist I didn't see coming. Action-filled as always it surely won't disappoint a reader that got so far.

What was kinda funny for me was that it took them so long to even get the basic information about the riddle and suddenly in the last book everything clicked into place in the course of what ... 200 pages? Like that was some extreme luck going on there nothing more. If the book was more logical they would have failed miserably. I also thought the epilogue was a tad bit rushed (I wanted to know so much more about what happened to them after everything).

I gave this boom 4 stars because it has awesome suspense that makes you want to keep on reading. It also has great action that makes the book exiting and interesting. The boom is in a series that has over 12 books that are separated by each month. This insures that each book can explain and show what happens each month very well. The only problem is that it can sometimes be hard finding the books and being able to read them in order. This book is great if you like exiting adventurous books that have a lot of suspense.

Conspiracy 365 December by Gabrielle Lord take place in Australia and Ireland. The main character is Callum Ormond. Callum is a framed fugitive trying to clear his name. Callum will have to try to flee the country in an attempt to clear his name. When fleeing the country Callum would face many obstacles he would have to overcome.
I really enjoyed the plot of the book. Towards the middle of the book it started to get boring. However it was able to gain the interest back in the end.
People who enjoy mystery books would love this book. It has mystery throughout the book and also has action.

Agh! I don't know where to begin! This book was such a roller coaster (well, I guess the series was one too); everything seemed to be in slow-motion but going so fast at the same time! There was so much that happened in that short amount of time, it was crazy! Everything has fallen into place, but after all the adventure and zaniness, the ending was pretty lame; It was just a paragraph summary on the aftermath of the book. That's my only disappointment.

11 months after being told he needed to survive the next year, Cal is in the final month and racing to put together the final clues to solve what his father had been looking for.

I thought the conclusion to the mission/quest itself was well done. I appreciated how the various storylines/characters were wrapped up. I had hoped to see a little more about Cal coming home and how exactly we were proving his innocence/getting back into normal life. Overall though, I thought this was a good conclusion to this series.

It's done. It's finished. Some plot lines just didn't get wrapped up, and some turned to just be lame. But, we did get a fun story at the end of the day, and I liked the originality of a Queen Elizabeth based conspiracy theory type thing. Not one you see that much for some reason. But...there are more in the series? HOW? And I thought I was done!

This series is the best series I've read so far. It was so exciting, and you never knew what was going to happen. There was so many exciting events. I think I might read the sequel of this book, to see what's going on with Cal's life. I honestly have never read such a exciting book. There was something exciting on every page!

I really enjoyed this book. I feel like it concluded the series in a great way. There were a few major twists at the end that I did not expect, which is something else that made this book enjoyable to read.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good mystery book that is also realistic fiction.

This book is five stars because it has so much action and intensity. My favorite part of the book was when they found the ormond singularity and got attacked by uncle Rafe who everyone thought was dead. That was my favorite part because it was mind blowing and I really thought uncle Rafe was dead. You might enjoy this book if you like action and suspense.

Just finished this series in 4 days this morning. Each page has you guessing and keeps you engaged for hours. I no sooner turned the last page in each book along the way, and delve into devouring the next. History, conspiracy, clues, danger, intrigue... it's all woven in to the fabric of the Ormund Singularity and Callum Ormund. You just can't get enough!

The whole series was predictable and trite, but it did keep me interested; in fact, I started reading it to my daughter and finished it on my own. However; the ending was a letdown. All these books led up to nothing. And drawing it out until midnight of December 31 was lame.

Finally done... I was hoping for more of a conclusion (I know there are even more books in this series, but I am going to stop here). I was so curious for a long time of what the Ormond Singularity would be, and for it to be just a treasure was a bit disappointing, but fine.
