Omega Sector is once again tasked with saving the world as we know it. This time Even and Juliet must be the winning buyers for a set of codes that control all the military drones. The set up was a winner and I really felt for Juliet trying to overcome an unspeakable attack she suffered eighteen months ago and still experiences severe consequences from. I loved how Even was gentle and loving throughout while making her see that she needed to move beyond the experience.

While undercover Omega Sector Agent, Juliet Branson, was brutally attacked and left with a host of psychological problems because of it. No longer able the work in the field she has been supporting the missions as a handler and by providing intelligence support.

Evan Karcz has retired the covers he and Juliet has used in the operation that resulted in her attack. He had hoped never again to use the Bob and Lisa Sinclair legends because of the pain it would cause Juliet. But when a powerful crime boss specifically requests their presence at an auction for the codes to military drones, there is nothing Even can do except prepare encourage Juliet to suck it up for the greater good and go with him on this mission.

Even will do whatever it takes to protect Juliet, but his long buried, deep love for her is the thing that draws her out and gives her the courage to finally face what happened to her and move beyond it. Except, someone knows what happened and has been cyber-stalking Lisa and he is promising her that soon she will he his, after he kills her husband.

This romantic suspense had an exciting ending but the secrets the heroine kept from her co-workers went against her persona and didn't ring true. Also, most of the book dealt with her recovery from a trauma that happened before the start of the book suggesting the series should be read in order. Months after a tragic event, agent Juliet is asked to return to active duty as spouse of agent Evan.

Good book with a well-done romance and terrific suspense. Evan and Juliet have known each other most of their lives, as Evan is friends with her brothers. All of them work for Omega Sector. Evan and Juliet were a great undercover team until a brutal attack left Juliet unwilling to go back undercover. She still struggles with the effects of that attack, though she puts up a good front. Evan also suffers from intense guilt because the attack happened on a mission together.

I ached so much for Juliet. What happened to her destroyed her confidence in herself and her ability to do the job she loved. She's convinced she would only be a liability if she went back undercover. Her fears were real and understandable and aggravated by something else that was going on in her life. I hurt for Evan also. He cares so much for her, and it kills him to see her so afraid. He believes that she is much stronger than she thinks, but supports her in whatever she needs. There's a terrific scene at the beginning where their boss tries to convince Juliet to go back in the field, and Evan and her brothers stand up for her wish to stay in the background. Her brothers aren't as convinced as Evan about her ability, and one brother attempted to prove his point. It didn't go well for him. And when unexpected trouble puts Evan in danger, Juliet takes a deep breath and does what she must to save him.

I loved the development of the relationship between Evan and Juliet. Evan is understanding and supportive as Juliet works her way through her fears. It helped that there was always an underlying trust in Juliet's relationship with Evan. As they prepared for their undercover roles, Evan's gentleness and patience were heartwarming to see, and Juliet's growing ease with him was encouraging. Underneath it all was an attraction that Evan tries to resist until Juliet makes it clear that she feels it too. The connection between them deepens with the intimacy and the need to rely on each other during the mission. Evan's timing for his declaration of his feelings was pretty amusing as was her reaction.

The suspense of the story was terrific. There are two things going on. The biggest is the need for Omega to keep the codes from falling into the wrong hands. A wrench was thrown into Evan's plans to go it alone when the bad guy made it clear that Evan's "wife" was to be there or there would be no deal. I was on the edge of my seat during the warehouse scene, wondering how Evan was going to get out of it. What happened was impressive and a complete shock to Evan. The intensity continued to build with the unexpected changes to the plan. Evan and Juliet's ability to adjust and adapt was fantastic. I cheered for Juliet when she dealt so decisively with the creepy son. Juliet's brilliance during the auction scene was amazing, and I loved how Evan turned it completely over to her. What happened next had me glued to the pages until it was resolved, afraid for both Juliet and Evan. I thoroughly enjoyed the way it played out.

Adding to Juliet's stress are the frightening emails that she has received. For a year she, as her undercover persona, has been electronically stalked by someone who knows all about what happened to her. He makes claims of taking care of her, providing the protection that her "husband" didn't and that he would see her soon. I ached for Juliet and her fear, and how it has made her a prisoner of those fears. I was frustrated with her for not going to anyone for help with those emails when Evan or her brothers would have jumped to help her. I was so happy when she finally opened up to Evan about what she was going through. Though Evan was certain that the emails had nothing to do with their current case, I wasn't so sure. That feeling strengthened when they were on the yacht. Though I suspected who it was from the moment he appeared, the details were pretty convoluted. I could feel Juliet's fear during their confrontation, and Evan's desperation to find her before it was too late. The teamwork displayed in finding and saving Juliet was great.

This is the third book in Janie Crouch's current Omega Sector series in the Harlequin Intrigue line, following Infiltration (Omega Sector #1) by Janie Crouch and Countermeasures (Mills & Boon Intrigue) (Omega Sector - Book 2) by Janie Crouch .

The previous two books were very good, and they can stand alone, but why would you want to skip them? The Omega Sector has involved a set of four siblings among its agents in one role or another. The first two concerned the two brothers in the middle (Cameron and Sawyer Branson), with eldest sibling Dylan on the sidelines; this volume centers around the sister, Juliet Branson. She has experienced an 18-month period working in the headquarters of Omega, having been beaten and raped in a former mission gone wrong.

Juliet's Omega partner (Evan Karcz), with whom she had posed as his wife for various operations, finds she is truly needed for an op against a well-known enemy. The question is whether she has recovered enough to go back into the field without being a security risk for her partner and for the mission itself.

I found UNTRACEABLE to live up to both the romantic and the suspenseful side of the story Crouch has created. It managed to hold my interest, to hold me in suspense, and to hold some hope for a good outcome for the duration of the story.

On top of this, the romantic elements occur "behind closed doors," with little if any intimacy beyond kissing and hand-holding described, for those who prefer to know this. There is not foul language, but there are some incidents that contain violence, yet again, the author manages to narrate this without too much gore.

All in all, I really enjoyed the fourth book I've read by Janie Crouch, and I look forward to the final episode of the Omega Sector series, which will be released soon, and which promises to be Dylan's story. Watch for it, and try to read all the books in this series if you can and if you enjoy your Romantic Suspense Genre books in the shorter Harlequin Intrigue length rather than much, much longer books.

The writing was without grammar problems, which is always a plus for me. There was a bit of repetition in the narration of Juliet's anxiety and in Evan's determination to keep her protected, but it was not so much as to be off-putting. A very solid 4 stars, perhaps just a bit more....

Vivid and intense action mixed with red-hot romance, that left me breathless and there might have been some tears.
I could sense the darkness and despair of Juliet, the emotions shadowing and tormenting her, after the past opp ending terribly. The self-doubt, angst, and fear constantly present with her. Evan's guilt and regret are palpable, with the feelings of failure, and responsibility of the attack towards Juliet.
It doesn't take long, when the new operation starts, that the intensity and danger of the work Omega Sector do, step in. The action is thrilling, the threats to their lives real, and the risk of exposure constant.
Not only do they have to deal with the dangerous opp at hand, but the monsters of Juliet's past were taunting her with threatening emails, bringing even more jeopardy to the already tense situation.
The unity, support, teamwork, and protectiveness of the family is a delight. I loved visiting with the siblings from the previous books in the series.
The connection between Evan and Juliet is beautiful, tender, and fragile. The trust, devotion, kindness, and care are adorable, the zeal and fervor of their passion unmistakable. I loved to see the development in Juliet, as she leaves the nightmares of her past, and finds her inner agent again, one step at a time.
The story has a beautifully crafted plot, where all the pieces of the puzzle fit into place at the end, with elements that keep the reader guessing. The tension in the story is built up brilliantly, and the attraction and passion between Evan and Juliet is a constant smoldering fire, that bursts into flames at the right moments. The images of the event are vividly painted, lively in the mind of a reader. The final climax of the story took my breath away, and yes, there were tears in my eyes. Can't wait for the next installment of the series, Dylan's story, thankfully out already next month. All the stories in the Omega Sector are easily read as stand-alone novels, but I think you will get more out of the story if you have read the previous ones.
Untraceable is another home run from Janie Crouch, truly recommend for all romantic suspense fans

Before a case went wrong, Evan and Juliet made the ultimate undercover team. They played on one another’s strengths and had the right chemistry to pull off being a married couple. After taking time off to recover from a debilitating situation, Juliet finds herself thrust back in to the same undercover role she’s not sure she’s truly ready for.

I loved this story. The danger and suspense are alive and well, but Juliet’s emotional journey was what had me entranced and rooting for her success! Evan providing protective support and gentle encouragement made a big dent in her recovery as well, but Juliet’s inner core wasn’t about to be dismissed. Gah-loved it all!!!

Conceal was previously released as Untraceable with Harlequin Intrigue.

I received an advance reader copy from the author and this is my honest review.

My heart hurt for both Juliet and Evan during this read after everything, especially Juliet, they went through. Juliet is the sister and Evan the best friend to the Branson brothers, and both are Omega operators who went undercover together as husband and wife as Bob and Lisa, and made a name for themselves with the bad guys. Juliet is currently working the desk after a brutal attack over a year ago, and is still not ready to go back out there...maybe never. Evan still feels guilty for not protecting Juliet while undercover but also knows that she is strong and capable, even though she doesn’t see it. When circumstances force Juliet to resume her Lisa persona, Evan is by her side and vows to protect her during the op and not leave her side, especially once he finds out she has a stalker.
This read brought out all the feels and the emotions towards these two. Juliet, a strong and capable woman, who is a shell of her former self after the attack, struggling with nightmares, close proximity, and touching, faces it all head on when Evan is in danger and finds that Evan is in her corner, supporting her and having faith in her gives her that extra boost she needs to lay it all out for him. I melted for Evan, his sincerity, his grief over what happened, his protectiveness and his support and confidence in Juliet....who wouldn’t want a man like that in their corner.
An amazing read with suspense, heartbreaking scenes, tears and two people who finally get their chance after so many years, with no more obstacles stopping them from being together.....LOVED IT !!!!

Danger at every turn, I love the way Janie Crouch writes her characters strong and yet vulnerable. Though this is the third in her Omega Sector series, it is a complete story on it's own....but I think you will want to read the previous two books once you read this one. Loved it.

The Omega Sector hires the best of the best, and their agents are use to going undercover into the worst of situations to save the world. This time is different. When they discover the bad guys have access to government drone override codes and plan to sell them to the highest bidder, Evan is ready to become his alter ego, Bob Sinclair to snatch the codes back. But there's a catch...the bad guy only trust him if his fake wife Lisa, undercover agent Juliet, is part of the deal. No wife...no deal. Normally that wouldn't be a problem. Evan and Juliet had worked together before and were a great team.....but things changed when Juliet was attached on the last assignment and now both are haunted by guilt and the reality of how close she had come to death. Plus the simple touch of a man makes Juliet tremble in fear and only Evan has confidence that Juliet can handle the mission. But Juliet is keeping a secret that may get them both killed.

This book kept me up late into the night reading to the end. Loved the interaction of the hero and heroine as they fought to save the world and just maybe each other in the process. Full of surprises around every corner, this is a definite "must read". Looking forward to the next book in the series,, "LEVERAGE"....coming out in June.

Evan and Juliet made the perfect undercover pair. Friends since childhood, they knew each other so well that their cover as a criminal couple appeared natural and authentic to everyone they came in contact with. When an op goes bad, Juliet is traumatized and has convinced herself she can never recover.

Evan is almost as traumatized as Juliet - her assault happened on his watch and he was the one to find her beaten and abused. What is so much worse is that he has been in love with her for years, but always found an excuse to keep his feelings hidden. He was so afraid to spoil their years of friendship, but after the assault, he doesn't even have that any more.

This is book three of an action-packed and fast-moving suspenseful romance series. While characters reappear from earlier stories and are interconnected, each book can be read as a standalone. Evan, like the other male leads in the series is a strong and loving man with a strong moral center. He makes Juliet better by loving her and helping to fill in her missing parts. While a bit alpha, Evan is not so overbearing that he constricts Juliet. Juliet's character has been put through the wringer but is stronger than she believes herself to be. A great character.

Four stars for this romance thriller.

Conceal was previously titled and published as Untraceable and recently it was recovered and re-titled so you might have read this book if you are a long time follower of Janie Crouch's. This book did not disappoint at all and it might be my favorite book in the series! Every book in the series gets better and better! It can be read as a stand alone, but I suggest you read the books in order starting with Stealth. I had such a hard time putting this book down and it had to perfect mix of action, suspense, mystery, and romance which is one of the reasons why I love reading Janie’s books.

Conceal is a friends to lovers story about Evan Karcz and Juliet Branson and their undercover personas as Bob and Lisa Sinclair, a happily married couple who buy items on the black market for their clients. As we have read in previous books, Evan is the best friend to the Branson brothers (Dylan, Cameron, and Sawyer) and fellow Omega agent. Juliet is the sister to the Branson brothers and works as an analyst, handler, strategist, and former agent. A tragic event happened on Juliet and Evan’s last mission and left Juliet’s spirit and confidence broken and battered. The book takes you through the event, the aftermath, and the repair/recovery process Evan helps Juliet through by her side. I don’t want to give too much away because you HAVE to read this book yourself to get all the details, but I absolutely loved Evan! I love how patient, encouraging, loving, and understanding he was toward Juliet and everything she has been through. His forever flame for her might have something to do with it, but its also about protecting and helping his partner and friend fight her fears and get back to the woman she was before the incident. I love how the books are a family affair and the siblings and their significant others make their appearances in each other’s books. I will definitely be sad when the series comes to an end! I highly recommend this book and the Omega Sector series. Can’t wait to read Secret and find out about Dylan’s past!!!

I received this book as an ARC for an honest and voluntary review for it's re-release. First thing anyone interested in this book needs to know is that Harlequin has rebranded the Omega Sector Series with new covers and new titles, this one is now titled "Conceal" . I feel this important because many of us purchased various Harlequin paperbacks over the years and search through the electronic world for books by some of our fav. authors, and sometimes I look at a book and think "hmm did I read this?" If you are a person looking at this book thinking it's familiar you probably read it in paperback. None the less it's an awesome book, IMO anything that Janie Crouch writes is awesome. She creates the right balance of romance and suspense. This series as always can be read as a stand alone or out of order. In order it makes more sense. We met both the H and h in the previous books. Juliet Branson is the sister of Cameron and Sawyer from books 1 & 2. Evan Karcz has known Juliet for-ever, he is after all Sawyers best friend from high school, and coworker to all the Bransons at Omega. In the second book Ms. Crouch hints that there is something between Juliet and Evan, but again, you don't need to read that to enjoy this one. I think of this book as the boy next door, meaning Evan has been a part of Juliet's life for so long she doesn't think he has feelings for her, and well he's had them for quite some time but she's his best friend's sister, and his co-worker. But now they are back together undercover as Bob and Lisa Sinclair, and Juliet has a lot of ghosts to deal with while they save the world from evil weapons dealers who of course only care about their profit. I hate to give too much in my reviews, but it's well worth reading for the first time or the second... and sometime I do pick up books on my kindle that I read years ago because I can adjust the print and they don't take up space :)

The couple: Evan and Juliet

Romance trope: romantic suspense
Series: Omega Sector
Length: 217 pages

Plot: Evan and Juliet had been partners for a long time, until Juliet suffered a horrible attack that left her unable to go back into the field. Juliet is struggling and won't let anyone and Evan feels guilty that he wasn't there to save her. But when the opportunity to go back undercover is there, Evan goes and Juliet finds herself having to push past her fear to see him. After all, despite everything that has happened, they are still (secretly) in love.

Commentary: I really do enjoy this author's story. They have all the elements for romantic suspense and each book can function as a standalone but plays into the greater series. I do wish there was a little less closed door, fade-to-black scenes, but knowing that, I will still read the rest of the books in this series and the Linear Tactical series.

Previous book in the series: Covert
Next book in the series: Leverage

Conceal (Omega Sector)

This is an amazing addition to this romantic suspenseful series of Omega Sector with Juliet getting over her trauma and finding Evan to be her true love. Eighteen months ago when Evan and Juliet were undercover as Bob and Lisa Sinclair she had been kidnapped and raped before Evan could rescue her. It had traumatized her and she took herself out of field work and worked in the headquarters of Omega. An undercover operation came up and Evan had to take on Bob Sinclair cover again and they needed Juliet as well. Evan knows she can do it he just had to convince her that she can. This operation turned their lives around and Juliet discovered she could in fact be with Evan undercover as well as in real life. It was exciting as they retrieved the stolen military codes and took down the person who kept sending her emails while still keeping their undercover names in tack to use again. It was romantic as they discovered that they truly loved each other as well. I highly recommend this series and cannot wait to read the next release in this series of Omega Sector and the Branson family of agents.

Eighteen months ago, while undercover posing as Lisa a married woman , Juliet was attacked and raped. Evan, her brothers best friend, poses as her husband Bob. Now Evan is going to have to go undercover as Bob again when drone codes are being auctioned off. Juliet doesn’t think she’s ready for undercover but when a guy Evan put away is about to stumble onto their meeting. Juliet rushes to warn Evan but gets caught and the only way Cady, the one auctioning off the codes, is if she is with him. Someone is sending messages to Juliet about her rape and she has the team working on finding who it is. Between going undercover and finding her stalker, Juliet is able to put the past in the past and start living again.

Ok good story, clean no cussing or explicit sex. I guess it would be considered a friends to lovers but co workers. Now I was confused because I was only 50 percent through and it was getting to the end. There is another book with this. So it’s two books for one. I didn’t read the second.

This is book 3 of the series. We know a bit about the hero in the past books, with our hero in this book helping the hero's in those books. In the second book we learn more about the heroine in this book.

Anyway, in this book you learn more about what our heroine and hero's trauma was. Now they try and move on with their professional lives and our heroine feels she'll do more harm then good to stay in her current position. The hero completely supports her and has her back. The heroine's brothers want to protect her and keep her safe.

However, when the heroine gets accidentally sucked into a mission with the hero, she starts to realize her worth. Then by spending more time with the hero, she starts to relax and then become more confident in her ability professionally and as a woman. However, when they think someone from the trauma days is back and pining for the heroine they go on alert to protect her. Will the trauma be worked through or will they overcome it?

Conceal is a nail-biter romantic suspense by Janie Crouch. Ms. Crouch has delivered a well-written book and furnished it with a cast of characters second to none. After being abducted and raped on her last assignment for Omega, Juliet feels safe only at Omega HQ. Evan was Juliet's undercover partner when she was abducted and the one to find her. A new case has begun and needs Evan and Juliet's undercover partnership to be brought back. Juliet doesn't want to go back into the field, but the stakes are too high, so she agrees. Evan and Juliet's story is loaded with drama, humor, spice, action and suspense. I enjoyed this book and look forward to my next book by Janie Crouch. Conceal is book 3 of the Omega Sector Series but can be read as a standalone. Included in this book is Cyclone, a free book.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from Bookfunnel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Conceal is the third book in the Omega Sector series by Janie Crouch. I am reviewing The Omega Sector Universe series, which is made up of 16 engrossing reads and comprises of three connected series.
Omega Sector
Omega Sector: Critical Response
Omega Sector: Under Siege
This is a compelling collection of romantic suspense novels that blends high-stakes action with emotionally engaging storylines. This book is a great story of how the sister Branson sibling overcame her attack and PTSD to gain her HEA and her life back. Juliet was very much suffering in silence after her attack. She has 3 overprotection brothers and a best friend that she hid from but presented herself as healing on the outside. She was a very smart agent and analyst with great instincts who was savagely attacked while working undercover with Evan, the best friend. How she was "living" was heartbreaking but when push came to shove, she did what was necessary to go out into the field. She was definitely stronger than she thought and it was great to see her confidence building throughout the story. This was another action-packed story in the series that just keeps getting better and better. For those with triggers, be careful in reading this book. Other than that, I highly recommend.

Conceal is a little darker than the other Omega Sector books, mostly due to things that happened to Juliet on a previous case. I gotta say that this is one time when Janie Crouch's writing didn't have to be so darn good. Juliet's anguish is almost palpable, and it's impossible to read her story without getting emotional. Her trauma is absolutely heart-wrenching. Of course, Janie gives us lots of danger and excitement to move things along. And then there's Evan, who is exactly what Juliet needs to heal just as she's exactly what he needs when things get tricky in the field. This third in the series is a great combination of danger and intrigue, romance, family, and healing. Parts of the story were difficult and emotional, but it's so worth every moment of the journey to be there to witness these wonderful characters coming out the other side.

So happy to read Juliet and Evan's HEA. Of course, they first have to deal with her brothers, her trauma from a previous incidence, going back undercover as husband and wife, while dealing with ruthless bad guys, and if all that isn't enough, they have to deal with Juliet's stalker. Evan is Sawyer's best friend and has been a family friend for years with the entire Branson clan. But, that doesn't mean the brothers will be happy when Evan wants to start dating their sister, Juliet. Dating is probably not the right word for what happens in this exciting and constantly shifting book. Excellent adventures and scrapes to get out of while trying to get their hands on what the bad guys have and are willing to sell. Enjoy the ride.

This is the third book int he Omega Sector series. Each book follows a different family member. They each can stand on their own but are best enjoyed in order so that you understand some of the dynamics between the characters and the overall story arc and time line.

So far, Juliet had been my favourite character of the series. She has oh so much trauma and yet still finds a way to be functional and effective. She is a very strong female lead and I really like that. I also liked Evan as a character. He was a steady like a rock. I won't say anymore as I don't want to give anything away.

I hope you enjoy it too.

Happy reading!

I love this series, Conceal is so good, you won’t want to put it down. Great plots and so many twists and turns, leaves it open for more by author Janie Crouch who does a fantastic job of keeping you on the edge of your seat. The characters are terrific, Juliet stole my heart with what she had been thru. Yes, I know it’s a book but so many will relate to her trauma. Evan is the right guy for the job. Awesome
