Talk about an arranged but perfect union. 🥰 Patience has had a crush on Hondo since she was a young girl. When he shows up out of the blue at her job, she is surprised and intrigued by it. Why is he here? What does he want? She tries to act annoyed, but inside she jumps for joy.
Hondo has been watching Patience biding time to make her his. So, this arrangement set up by their folks was perfect. Game on.
These two fell right into a groove and embraced their upcoming nuptials, until all hell breaks loose. Hondo is that dude! Why did people think they could try and harm his Nik? Well, they bout to find out huh? I loved Hondo’s care and protectiveness he had for Nik (Patience). 🤩
NOW, what the hell was up with Shamus and that ish he had going on? Was money all that mattered to him? 😤 Titus too with his scary ass! 🤬 Good read! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

(3.5⭐️) This was actually a sweet arranged marriage story. I thought Patience was going to give Hondo a hard time, but she was pretty much all in from Day 1. Once he got his “Nic,” his only objective in life was making sure no harm ever came to her and that she always had a smile on her face. They were mutually obsessed and would have lived in each other’s skin if they could. 😂
I also appreciated the way Hondo’s family embraced Patience, especially because her own family, minus Paige, was straight-up trash. It was nice seeing her gain a family that genuinely loved and supported her.
The pacing felt a little slow at times, especially considering this was an instalove story with some action mixed in. Still, this was a sweet, low-drama romance with a couple who were completely devoted to each other from the start. If you like arranged marriages, obsessive couples, and supportive family dynamics, this should be an easy read. It wasn’t particularly remarkable, but it had some cute moments, and I hope we get to see more from the people of Briar South.

I'm glad Hondo made sure Patience and Paige made it out alive. Speaking of Hondo, that is a man okay! The way he loves Patience is inspiring and I cannot wait to experience that kind of love! I hope we get Tylon and Paige story next! Or Karsyn and Posydiann👀.

The Impossible
The grandaddy got what he deserved. The daddy too. I was spitting brick at what they trying to do. I’m happy for my girl, Patience. Honda made sure that she did not have the world. I would love to see Paige’s love story. Great story.

I need a Hondo. I fell in love with him from the beginning. The genuine love he
has for Patience from the beginning was beautiful. I also loved that Patience wsa
also in love with him from the beginning. Even though that was not the life she
wanted, it was made for her. Now that daddy and granddaddy!! They can get it.
Now I need more of Briar South. I an loving the lvove in the area. 5 STARS!!!!

Unputdownable
Is it really an arrangement marriage when she has been crushing on him since forever? I think not. Patience did not truly fight the request of her being with Hondo because it was a dream come true. The better of all evils if you will. She knew her family of men besides her sister were POS and Hondo would remove the curse of the last name. Funny thing is, it was a curse but a devil at work.
Hondo, sir, hats off to you for all the saves and cracking the code of slime men. Just when they thought they were untouchable, you put hands on each and every one of them and some. I enjoyed the ride and the love you showed your forever.
This was a great read.

I swear Kennedy B knows exactly what she is doing when it comes to her MMC’s Hondo Dominic Carter was that guy in every sense of the word. He loved Patience completely and spared nothing when it came to her. I loved this story and can’t wait to see what else comes out of Briar South.
Another thing I love is she is always going to give us a preview of what’s to come and a flash back of those who came before the present story. One of my favorite book worlds to be in.

Hondo did not play about Nic! He said she’s been his since he laid eyes on her as a kid and he wasn’t letting anyone have her or harm her.

Patience is the daughter of a man of the streets and learns of her arrangement in adulthood. She was shocked by it but was open to it once she knew it was her childhood crush.
Their union wa suppose to be simple, but Hondo realized that their is a plot against them. Together, they learn the truth and proceed with caution.

Patience’s family was TRASH. Imagine your arranged marriage to the head of a crime syndicate somehow being the better option than dealing with your own people. I liked Hondo though because there was no confusion with him, he wanted Patience and that was that. And finding out he’d already had his eye on her made the whole arrangement even better. I just wish some parts moved a little faster, but Hondo standing on business when it came to Patience made this a good read for me.

10 out of 10 as always! Hondo was very intentional about his plans. Arranged marriage to the man who’s unknowingly had your heart since you were younger doesn’t sound too bad. One who will without a doubt lay some ish down for you. Now the plot twist baby that was diabolical and so darn wicked. I like we gotta little sneak peek of what’s up next.

Another Banger
That Hondo stood on business!!! I love that Patience accepted her fate and we didn’t have to read about the FMC being in denial for half the book. Kennedy does an amazing job with setting out her new universe and giving us small glimpses of new characters that we might see in the future.

Amazing
I really enjoyed the book.
Hondo and Patience were a great couple. I love the humor throughout the book. Hondo was going to fight for his woman. The supporting cast was amazing. I couldn't put the book down. I was looking for more when it ended. If you want something light but series, this is the book.

Cute
This was the smoothest arranged marriage I read about in a while. Truly, easy love for the win. Shamus had no shame and Titus had no spine. Tj got caught up and paid the price.
What's Otto's story, because I think he should get one.
I feel like Amethyst and Posydiann will be a vibe, are they up next?

Hondo and Patience
Hondo instantly became a Velcro hubby. Locked in from the beginning. Don’t think I didn’t notice how long he had eyes on her, but when you know you know. Good read and definitely recommend

This was a different take on an arranged marriage; but I thoroughly enjoyed it. To have both characters actually like each other prior to their relationship starting made the story much more believable. Their love was fast, but it made sense because they knew each other for so long. I really enjoyed this book solid book, good overall.
Kennedy B right well in general, so I wasn’t shocked that this was a good book.
