Enjoyable story with great characters. I’ve read book one and the sister Ruby has a daughter. Not in book one or this one, is it mentioned if she’s divorced, did she have her daughter out of wedlock, that was a loose end in both stories.
I really enjoyed the H in this story. He was kind, thoughtful, and a good match for the h. The.h, is 34 and instead of confronting the.H, about the town, gossip, she believes what she’s told. This is something a woman a lot younger would do. She had a misunderstanding with the.H, concerning a different woman and they discussed it. Why wouldn’t she do that this time?
No cheating, no cliffhanger HEA, some Romance, clean story with only kisses. Ends at 95% on my e-reader, rest is a teaser for book one. I like that we had crossover characters from book one and get to see more of the main characters from that book.. This can be a standalone story. I can’t improve on the blurb just giving you extra tidbits to decide whether to purchase. (ljb)

This was a really sweet story, and I enjoyed this Maple Ridge Matchmaker edition. This time, Katie, who owns the town’s local coffee shop, is stressing over her commercial fridge breaking down and the expense of replacing it. She decides to let her best friend, the town matchmaker, set her up on a date.
Matt is the mysterious stranger in town. No one knows who he is or why he’s there, but when he meets Katie in her coffee shop, there is definitely some sizzle between them. After Katie’s first match is a dud, she’s a little apprehensive about trying again. But when she discovers her next match is a man named Matt, she’s excited to find out if he’s the handsome stranger she’s been noticing around town.
Katie and Matt hit it off right away, but town gossip and a few misunderstandings threaten to get in the way. Katie has to trust that Matt isn’t too good to be true so these two can find the love they both deserve. A sweet, easy-to-read romance with plenty of small-town charm.

I was sucked into this story from the beginning and could not let go until I got to the end. Reese Marley has developed such a unique community filled with a diverse group of characters. This town certainly looks out for its own, maybe a little too well at times. There was heart, humor, and some hurt as Katie journeyed to find a happily ever after. The connection was immediate and grew the more they spent time together. I loved watching these two build a solid foundation based on care and respect.

Super small-town, cozy read.
The main character is Katie, a small-town coffee shop owner. Her good friend Riley co-owns a matchmaking company. This is book 2, but I didn't feel like I was missing any context.
Dating these days is hard and messy and that's definitely described in this book.
The storyline is predictable and a bit repetitive. If you're looking for a cozy book with zero spice, this is for you.

Katie is hanging by a thread praying her commercial refrigerator doesn’t quit on her. Riley is determined to help her find love and sets to using her aunt’s matching algorithms to find the perfect match for Katie. Seems the universe has ideas, too, with a handsome stranger. But will the local gossip mill ruin everything or will love win out in the end? This is another sweet small-town romance with some favorite characters. Who will get matched next?

The second book in the Maple Valley Matchmakers series is just as good as the first one! Katie and Matt were not looking for love, but it found them anyway! Their love is a slow burn that is thrown off path by a misunderstanding, but Matt comes back to town and saves the day. I enjoyed this book and can’t wait to see who will be matched next!
