Get Started With Linux: Editing Files with Vi in the Command Line

Rate this book
This book is a beginner’s guide to editing files with the Vi editor on the Linux operating system in the command line or terminal. This book is designed for a beginner to an intermediate level Linux user who already has some basic Linux skills to include the use of the command line and has a functioning Linux install to work with. This book will cover the basic commands used in the Vi editor in Linux.

This book is a subset of material that will be included in a longer and thus more expensive book later this year. One of the things I have always disliked about tech books is that you have to purchase the whole book to get access to a couple of chapters or sections that you really want. With this in mind I have decided to make the material available al-la-carte style at a greatly reduced price so you the reader can decide which parts you want to buy.

This distribution model also allows me to release and updated the material much quicker. You can always wait for the final book that will include the material in this book plus much more if you so desire.
