From bestselling author, E. L. Todd, comes the limited edition Forever and Always Collection, books 1-3.

Sean and Scarlet aren’t exactly an ideal relationship. Stupidity and selfishness on Sean’s part lead him to hurt Scarlet over and over again. Scarlet’s naivety and ignorance doesn’t help matters. But in the midst of all the angst is one of the greatest love stories of all time, full of laughter and love, and tears that will make your eyes glisten.

Only For You:

When Scarlet realized Penelope was dumping Sean, her best friend, she was devastated. Penelope was the love of his life, the woman of his dreams. Scarlet knew how far her best friend was going to fall and she had to catch him. Scarlet became Sean’s rock and helped him through a very painful breakup, but her own hidden desires bubbled to the surface in the process. When they finally gave in and slept together, she thought it was the start of their new relationship. Unfortunately, Sean didn’t feel the same.

Humiliated and heartbroken, Scarlet moved across the country and found what she least expected. She rekindled her damaged relationship with her brother, who she hadn’t spoken to in a year, and her brother’s best friend was attractive and interesting. Their relationship was natural and unforced, and she was immediately drawn to him. Would she be able to get over Sean, forget about him, by sleeping with Cortland, or would that just be another repeated mistake?

Forever and Always:

Now that Sean and Scarlet are together, Scarlet couldn't be happier. They were meant for each other and would make any sacrifice to be together. With her greatest friend as her new lover, their relationship was perfect. But when Sean asks her to move back to New York, she hesitates. She doesn't want to leave her brother after finally reconnecting with him so they agree to make the coast-to-coast trip every weekend. Scarlet wants Sean to move to Seattle but she knows he can't leave his job for her. Scarlet fears that Sean still loves Penelope even though she never questions him about it. When Penelope shows up at Sean's apartment pregnant and penniless, Sean has to decide what he really wants. Will a baby interfere with the happiness that Scarlet has recently found?

Edge of Love:

Sean and Scarlet are finally blissfully happy together. Their past is behind them forever. But after Sean and Scarlet travel to Connecticut to reveal their engagement, tensions escalate, family secrets are revealed, and an unexpected visitor ruins the weekend. When they return to Seattle, Scarlet refuses to get married at his family estate, which infuriates Sean. Their arguments escalate until another secret is revealed.

Scarlet is full of regret when she realizes she hurt Sean and broke his trust. For the first time, Scarlet is responsible for the pain and the hurt of their relationship. Is Sean’s love just as unconditional as he claims? Will he able to forgive Scarlet for her betrayal just like she forgave him?

1.5 stars. I don't even know wtf to start.
Actually, I do.
The "heroine" was such a codependent ditz of a moron and the "hero" was a jerk who literally cried more times than the heroine lol.

Sean called her a "slut" and a "whore" soooooo many freakin' times (especially in the 3rd book) it's was beyonddddd annoying. He got mad at the most ridiculous things (especially in the 3rd book, when it came to his brother mike.)
Alllll he did was cryyyyy all the damn time, I have no problem with guys being emotional but sheesh!! This was ridiculous and I couldn't find him sexy in the least.

Scar- was the most obnoxious, conceited heroine I've come across in a longggg while. Not to mention, she was one hell of a drama queen ditz. I avoid being friends with women like her in real life, so having to withstand over 600 pages of her whiney, annoying ass was beyond brutal.

Last but not least: if I had to read "asked incredulously" one more effin'' time I was going to throw my tablet across the damn room!!!!!

I had to DNF this box set after finishing book 2. I couldn't take anymore of Scarlet and Sean. These two were more like ten years than adults attempting any kind of a relationship. The bouncing back and forth. The declarations of "I never want to see you again!!" to then a few pages later desperately seeking the other out was too much. Give me angst, give me a make up, but for God's sake, make the characters grow up and redeem themselves rather than continuing on the same way.

L.O.V.E. One word that consist of four letters. Easy to spell but hard to define. In E.L. Todd’s Forever and Always Collection, Ms. Todd delivers a story that explores the different facets and gamuts of love. A friendship kind of love. A blurred love. A sexual love. A love of need. Complicated love. And a forever of kind of love. But with these different facets of love, Ms. Todd throw readers under a whirlwind of emotions from frustration, anger, understanding, and forgiveness. In the end of this tumultuous journey, one question remains. Is there such a thing called a forever and always kind of love?

Scarlet and Sean have been best friends for so many years. They are each other’s backbone and loved each other fiercely. So what happens when one night changes everything? Lines of friendship begins to get blurred? Can they ever go back the same if Scarlet feels strongly for Sean and he hasn’t yet realize his feelings for her? Can their friendship and hearts be saved?

“We weren’t fucking. We were making love, and I realized I had loved him the entire length of our friendship. He was the one I wanted and no one else. I knew in that moment that Sean felt the same way. He loved me. Now I understood why I couldn’t date anyone else, and why I never gave anyone else a chance. It was because I wanted Sean. I always feared he wouldn’t feel the same way, that I was his friend and nothing more. But now that I knew I was wrong, I was so happy he was mine. We belonged together. I only wished we hadn’t taken so long to figure it out.”

And so begins one hell of an angsty emotional driven journey of two best friends rediscovering and finding themselves. For Scarlet, leaving NYC, her job and Sean behind was what was needed in order for her to listen to her heart. In Seattle, she was able to reconnect with her brother and make new friends with her brother’s best friend. Choices were made in regards how she would dealt with her broken heart. Were these choices the best one? Yes and No. But, in the end it was Scarlet’s choice in the matter.

The distance apart from Scarlet allowed Sean to see that she was the one that he let slipped away. She was the girl who loved him fiercely and all it took was time apart to awaken him to get his act together and go get the woman he loves. But what happens when he reconnects with Scarlet and she has a whole new life in Seattle? And what happens when Sean’s ex makes a surprise appearance? Can Sean and Scarlet get their shot at happily ever after or are they just destined to be friends only?

“His lips felt right against mine and I knew I was meant for him—we were perfect together.”

In this collection, E.L. Todd showcases an imperfect love story with two imperfect individuals. Yes, both characters needed a slap to the head for their stupidity and rash decisions. But what makes their story stand out, it is raw. There is no sugar-coating anything about Sean and Scarlet. They are human. They make mistakes. But in the end, it is their love that saves them. Their love for one another withstands all the complicated bullshit that tries to tear them apart. They are not perfect but their love for one another is perfect for them. And so E.L. Todd highlights that important aspect of love. Love is messy. Love is complicated. But if you fight for your love and answer to what your heart desires, then you will find the answer to forever and always.

This three book collection was definitely driven by lots of angst. And I mean angst up the wazoo. This book was filled with so many ups and downs that you were beginning to wonder how much more can Scarlet and Sean take in order to get their happily ever after. I did enjoy the book but I felt their story could have been condensed without the unnecessary drama and surprise appearance of characters. My only complaint was that cliffhanger ending. Other than that, if you like best friends romance with lots of angst and I mean a plethora of it then this book is for you.

Ok I usually try to leave reviews whenever I can or whenever I finish a book. Today I decide to take a break from jumping on my next book (which is rarely) but I definitely felt obligated to stop on my tracks and leave a review for this book.

So where do I start?? Lets see....

First book of the collection- Only for you.

So we have Sean and Scarlett ( the hero and heroine) who are and have been best friends for the longest time. We also have Penelope which at the beginning of the story is Sean's girlfriend, Sean's is deeply in Love with her and there wasn't anything that Sean wouldn't do for her, even humiliate himself if he had to. So this is were the shitty story begins. Penelope decided to dump Sean for the man that she truly likes, she lets Scarlett know before she even mentions it to Sean just so Scarlett can help Sean pick up the pieces of his broken heart, of course what are BFF's for right?? Scarlett even thought she's been accosted by her boss at work manages to survive her day and goes to Sean's apartment to find him sooo depressed on the couch, she brought pizza and beer Yayyy hooray for her.. anyways by this time I'm already Yawning, this 2 couldn't be more pathetic if they tried. I wanted to put the book down on the first few chapter, but against all the odds I wanted to Actually finish it to see if it got any better, well what can I say it actually did for like a few chapters, you see after a drunken night of bff's on the loose they had sex, and guess what Scarlett miss-interpret a one night stand for a relationship yup the next day first thing she did as soon as she got to work was update her facebook status (pathetic indeed or should I say a horny teenagers move, probably both) anyways continuing Scarlett's friend Slept with Sean as well that same day she change her status, Scarlett was debastated and she fled to the other side of the country from NYC to Seattle, to be with her bother Ryan, so to try to make this shorter Scarlett met Cortland which is Ryan's best friend. She and Cortland have sex like two times, by this time I was happy she was the heroine that didn'd save herself for the one man she loved, but boy was I wrong for getting happy. She is such a drama Queen, She for some reason should I say Ryan ended up getting back with Sean who is another pathetic little bitch and that's putting it in a nice way, they are happy for a week and end up breaking up because Penelope is back on the picture. but this time I was done, But decided to hang on and continue to torture myself I manage to finish the book. and the ending was just as pathetic as the beginning.

But Here I go again, I continue onto the second book "forever and Always''

What Can I say I finished it Yesssss High fives and kudos to me I finish this second book, Something deep down me encourage me to finish it, because I was expecting it to get better, but get what, I wanted to cry when I saw the story end and they were still off and on like teenagers, even thought he did propose to her at the end and manage to move in together, but sadly , sadly , sadly this story was just as bad as the first one.

Here I go again, Yes Apparently I am a masochistic bitch for doing this to myself but started book three "edge of Love"

Here is were I draw the line I manage to read the first few pages of the first chapter and that's when I had enough this story for some reason and in some twisted way kept repeting itself just the words were put differently, Sorry E.L Todd I know writing is not easy, but I felt like you really lack creativy on this collection here. I couldn't manage to continue reading it any longer, I felt like this was worst than a regular horny teenagers story, Thank god It was free cause After the first book I wouldn't have given you the time of the day anymore with this collection. I truly hope to read something from you that is worth reading. You have strong potential just need to get your ducks in a row here.

So in Conclusion this book Was basically MEDIOCRE, SAD, PATHETIC WITH A WHINNY HERO AND A DRAMA QUEEN FOR A HEROINE ( I love a man with emotions but, this hero was a ZERO.

DNF beginning of the second one. This is some of the worst trash I've ever read. The fact that the whole package was free on kindle should've been a red flag.

The two idiot main characters, Scarlet and Sean, are insufferable and actually two stupid horrible people that don't deserve happiness or love or whatever the hell happens to them. I don't care. Hopefully they're on a plane back to NY and it crashes and they die.

The writing in this series might be the worst and most painful I've encountered in a very long time. The definition of irony: Scarlet is a Harvard grad who is a renowned copy editor, and this goddamn series needs editing on at least every page. I cringed every time there was a grammatical error or typo every other paragraph.

DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS SERIES IF YOU HAVE HALF A BRAIN (maybe even a quarter) BECAUSE IT'S SO BAD.

I did not enjoy this set at all. I had heard good things and the book set has great ratings... I was so disappointed.
There was too much drama. I thought Sean and Scarlett were ridiculous. I would hate knowing people like them (I know they do exist).
I hated them...
It started I out so good...
Then about halfway through the first book I lost interest.

I finished the entire set because it's a compulsion. I have to finish once I've started, whether I like it or not.

Because this is a box set, I am going to format my review differently.

Real rating: 4.25

This is basically about Scarlett and Sean who are best friends turned lovers. I enjoyed the beginning where Scarlett, being a good friend, helps Sean recover after his girlfriend, who he was going to propose to, dumps him. At that point I really did enjoy the characters, especially Scarlett. She seemed to be a very good friend. However, one night between them changes everything. Scarlett loves Sean and wants a relationship with him, but Sean doesn’t see that one night as anything remotely close to that. So Scarlett runs away to live with her brother, obviously heartbroken.

Eventually, Sean finds Scarlett etc. Sean is horrible! I lost all of my respect for him. Nothing he did in this series redeemed himself. Scarlett, at the beginning, seemed strong and independent; I was wrong about her too. Scarlett ended up coming off as annoying. I wish these characters started facing their problems instead of running away every time something doesn’t go their way. But despite that, this was a seriously addictive read and I will most likely continue the series.

Overall the books were enjoyable, but I did find the characters juvenile at some points and I really wanted to strangle them(not literally!)! There were also a good amount of spelling/grammar mistakes which somewhat annoyed me. If there was better editing, I think I would’ve liked them more.

Oh, and book three when Scarlett and Sean finally seem to get their heads on straight, a major cliffhanger is dropped. So there’s that...

Honestly this would have been "ok". The story is mediocre. The book has so much sex it is almost ridiculous. I am by no means a prude, I have no problem enjoying a good sex scene. However, I found myself skipping half the book because I was getting bored. Almost the same as watching a pornographic, you see (in this case read) so much sex you are desensitized to it. The actual story itself was spread out over so many books, when really it needed two, at most, three if you tell the story of the other characters. I have read as far as the sixth book in this series. I honestly read that many to give this author the benefit of the doubt. It wasn't worth it. This book was compared in advertising to Fifty Shades of Grey. No, completely inaccurate. There was a story there, it had sex, but not so much of it that it could have sat side by side with books sold in your local pornography shop. I will not be reading any more from this author.

First off everyone should read this series and its spin off series. This series starts off with Scarlet and her bestie Sean getting out of college and enjoying the world of grownups. Sean is engaged to this irritating girl Penelope (ugh) and because its the woman Sean loves Scarlet loves her too. Until Penelope drops a bomb on Scarlett one day. Obviously Scarlet wants to be there for her best friend and well things get taken a little too far thus causing Scarlet to leave NYC and move back to Seattle without telling Sean where she was. Now enters hot brother/male slut:) Ryan and his best friend Cortland. I mean what is a girl to do when she is heart broken ....... we all know the saying ladies and Cortland is perfect! But what Scarlet doesn't know is that Sean still stays in touch with Ryan and ends up tracking down Scarlet in Seattle. In book 2 Scar and Sean are working things out while Sean has temperarily moved to Seattle in order to win Scar back. However Sean doesn't plan to stay there forever and Scar doesn't want to leave her brother after just getting connected with him again and her and Cortland have become really good friends. But guess what happens.......come on you know......that evil witch Penelope comes back into the picture and drops another bomb. It changes everything between Sean and Scar and this time you aren't sure if its fixable. In book 3 you finally get to breathe easy with some items fixed up. And while Scar and Sean have known each other for 10 years, Sean's parents have no idea what she is to Sean now. Tensions are high when Sean's mothers true colors fly and puts yet another wedge in what should be a happy relationship. Sean's mother still loves Penelope and is having a hard time excepting Scar as a possible daughter in law. Scarlet is so hurt that she is refusing to get married at Sean's family estate and doesn't even want them at the wedding. Sean is trying to be the peace keeper and make Scarlet happy but she goes to far in her demands pushing Sean away. And Scarlet starts to doubt how much Sean is committed to her and there relationship.

I mean it truly is an amazing roller coaster and you start to love and hate all the characters. Heck you even picture your own group of friends as these characters or you want to be a part of there group. The more you read the more new characters are introduced and this amazingly hilarious and slightly dysfunctional family is created. Trust the first book was probably the hardest to get through but I promise it is so worth it, because by the last book in the series you are wishing you had just 1 more.

"Forever and Always Collection" by E. L. Todd

My Thoughts...

Well, I will say I liked it. I didn't have the privilege to read it but I was able to listen to it from my
Kindle and rather enjoyed the read. The story was presented in three books put together ...starting with 'Only For You' moving on to 'Forever and Always' and then the third one...'Edge of Love.' I was left thinking what a plot and thought while listening to all of the read that this author did a rather good job in her presentation of the story. What is even more interesting is to find out that there will be another 18 stories from the 'Forever and Always Collection.' As the story goes on from one story [series] it will tie into the next the read, The readers will get even more from these very interesting, defined, well portrayed characters as new ones come into the scene. I am sure that Sean, Scarlet [Scar] and many other characters will have you turning the pages to see what will come next because believe me this whole story is one moving roller coaster ride. Yes, there will be some characters that will have you wanting to pull your hair out while some others...well these are really some dysfunctional and even hilarious family people. If you can just sit back and listen as I did and get through the first story and on to the next I think you will be able to see how well this author puts it all together for her readers. Like I said earlier I was able to listen and understand all that was going on and thought this is really going to be some series when it's over...remember there will be 18 more novels! Be aware this is a 'adult read' so be ready for lots of craziness along with some hot steamy sex...yes graphic sex! I will say after reading this collection I will be ready to read more of this series by this author. I do hope that these two main characters [Sean & Scarlet] will find their happily ever after, however I am sure it will be quite a up hill journey getting there for them. Would I recommend this series? Yes,only if this is your kind of read.

Friends to lovers story.. who doesn't love that? If only falling in love is as easy as being the best of friends.

Sean and Scarlet were best friends, she was his rock, the one person he could count on to accept him no matter how much he messed up. She was the girl who would always be there to help him pick up the pieces.. and that was exactly what she did when he was heartbroken over a failed relationship.

Sean was a good guy who couldn't help but leave a lot of debris in his wake. You would be frustrated with him, even hate him.. but he redeemed himself and would make you fall in love with him. Scarlet knew in her heart she loved Sean and was willing to do anything for him, but she couldn't fight alone. Sean needed to know what he really wanted in life, and if she had a place in that. Sean and Scarlet gave a new meaning to the term rollercoaster of emotions. They experienced the highest highs and lowest lows before they reached their steady rhythm. The path they took will definitely make them hold on to each other tight because not everyone can survive what they went through unscathed. I guess that's why friends to lovers was the best kind of relationship. When things get tough, you rely on the friendship to pull you through.

The journey these two took to find their happily ever after was full of bumps and hurdles.
They were meant to be together, but the path to true love wasn't smooth, especially if you run around in circles only to realize what you were looking for was just in front of you all along.

There were also great side characters that added spice to Sean and Scarlet's quest to find their happily ever after.

Only for You:
This story will make you angry at many of the characters at one point or another, it will also make you love them just as much. I love that I could get angry at a character I love so much, it's great to feel that kind of emotion from a book. There are several characters who I would consider vital to this story, but Scarlet and Sean are for the most part the main couple. They are explosive together in both good and bad ways, and it makes their relationship more real. There is so much going on with all the characters in this story and I can tell it's only getting started, I can't wait.
Forever and Always:
Well Scarlet and Sean still make me hat them as much as I love them. I still want to scream at them, and ask what they're thinking. I won't spoil anything so, I will just say once again, I can't wait to see where this goes.
Edge of Love:
Ok, so I still love Scarlet and Sean and I even love them together, but yes, I still want to yell and scream at them as well. This story had a few more twist than the other, and the ending just made me want to rip out my hair. Cliffhanger, I can't wait to read what's next!

1.5 stars I have to put this on DNF list. This series was a painful one in the worst way. I had to give up at chapter 2 book 2. Can't believe I read until then. It's like reading a diary from a high school freshman in the body of a 30 something woman. So damn annoying and disappointed about this books

I think I finished the first book and I just don't think I can continue. I wanted to love it I wanted to just like it but I couldn't. It seemed like everyone just loved themselves so much but then whined all the time idk I can't even describe how annoying everyone was in this book. scarlet was soooooo annoying. What grown woman sleeps with her Bff and then changes their relationship on fb to in a relationship?!! The entire time I'm reading this I just want to knock her in the head. It was like reading a high school story. I really don't think I will be continuing this series because I just do not care about these characters. Makes me sad to do a bad review lol

It was free

The main characters are not likable in the slightest. I was not connected to them in any way, they are repeatedly running away, breaking things off, yelling at each other and being jerks. That's not a relationship, it's two lunatics being deranged to one another.

I hate writing bad reviews, but this one deserves it. Ended up skimming many pages because I just wanted it to end.

description

The Forever and Always Collection by E.L Todd was a four star read.
This is book 1-3 in the series.

Only For You:
Sean and Scarlet have been best friends for years, they have a great relationship and are always there for each other.

We see Scarlet support Sean after a very upsetting breakup, when his fiancee leaves him for another man. Their friendship gets challenged when they end up sleeping together. Of course they both view what happened between them as two separate things: Sean just a hookup and Scarlet thinking that he loves her and finally wants to be with her. Unfortunately, Scarlet finds out in a really heartbreaking way that she was sadly mistaken. This discovery causes her to flee New York and move to Seattle by her brother.

Forever and Always:
Trying to deal with her depression Scarlett’s brother Ryan takes her in and gets her back on her feet. Scarlet meets Cortland, Ryan's best friend and she feels like she has a second brother. Of course things get a little complicated between them and causes some issues. When Sean comes to Seattle to get her back she is very hesitant but breaks down. Then of course once Sean returns to New York all heck breaks loose and spirals everything out of control once again.

Edge of Love:
After finally putting things behind them and trying to move forward Sean and Scarlet are engaged and take a trip to Sean's family estate and end up with more huge drama for these two. I do have to say I loved Scarlet’s sassiness on the plane. You go girl! I very much dislike Sean’s mother and brother. I loved his dad. The drama follows them home and we watch these two once again go through a struggle of trust and getting over secrets. The ending is a cliffhanger and leaves your head spinning.

I do have to say that I was very exhausted after reading these first three books. I feel like Scarlet could have been stronger and less of a baby at times. Sean practically changed his whole life for her and I didn’t get the impression that she was at all grateful, no matter how much she professed her love. And the running OMG, enough, face your issues already.

If you are looking for a great read with lots of drama and hot sex, I suggest you 1-click and get started today. Thank you E.L. Todd for another great read.

A turbulent romance

Drama almost soap opera like!
It's a good romp of constant misunderstandings, of overreacting to the slightest thing. It was exhausting, but I just wanted them to have a happy ending.
Odd error here and there but I guessed what the author was trying to say.
It was good and worth a read. Good characters and dialogue.

Twists and turns

This story weaved its way into my heart. I love Scarlett. She is a feisty thing. Sean is brooding and arrogant. Their chemistry drips off the pages. The ups and downs in the books are sort of cliche but it is good in a creative way. It's definitely worth the read.

A story from the heart

The story was interesting and felt written from genuine experience. I was both uplifted with the highs and felt every depth of sadness. The sexual intimacy was mostly well written and belonged with the plot. I did feel towards the end of the book 4 that there was a line drawn. For others, maybe not. But that won’t stop me from continuing with the series.

Good book

This was a good book, the best of the first three that I have read. Scarlet and Sean have an intense relationship. I may never know what happens next and if they get their happy ever after. I just found out that there is 21 books to this series.

I tried to like this book.

I tried to like this books, the characters. The leading lady is selfish and just childish. The leading man is just a pushover at times and plays head games. I will not be finishing this series.

1.5 - 2: Annoying & unlikable characters. Scarlet’s & Sean’s dialogue reminded me of Pamela Anderson & Tommy Lee. Poor editing. Many instances of poor grammar, incorrect words, or missing words. I don’t really even know why I finished it.

Proof Reading Nightmare

The story line of these books has a hard time staying interesting when the reader has to correct so many mistakes in editing. Very juvenile attempt at writing a love story.

Not my cup of tea

Book 1 not too bad. Book 2 too many tears on both sides. Book 3 just sex. No thank you

Bizarrely I got captured by some of the romances here!! I did get annoyed that the characters didn't seem to have any other concerns other than their own relationships with each other.
