Though her grandfather’s legendary talisman is in the hands of her biggest enemy, Samara McKinley and the Ima pack have even more important issues to deal with right now—like finding out how to fight against the black magic that Jason Masterson, Alpha of the Vyka pack and their arch rival, is using. Will they overcome the obstacles they face along the way and be able to conquer the evil that awaits them?
Black Magic is a riveting tale of romance, friendship, and the true test of alliances.
Loved this book!!!!!! it was what i expected it to be and that was freaking awesome!!!!! So much interesting stuff (don't want o give anything away) happened :) in this book and it was just amazing. A great continuation of the series! and I will most likely die in anticipation of waiting for the next book!!
I would much prefer if the characters are all at least 18 and above because all the political issues over the packs are best handled by more mature candidates. Currently, what the story presents to us sounds easy, with no challenges, critical thinking, or serious actions.
It was also a bit slow in tackling the main issue the Ima pack was having against Vyka. Most importantly, the talk about killing at a very young age does not sit well with me, let alone getting engaged at the age of 15! I wouldn't want younger readers to get any ideas about these.
As for the so-called twist, it was predictable, given the earlier indications of the character's support for Samara. On the other hand, I'm intrigued to see how Declan and Luke will manage to coexist going forward.
Black Magic (Howl Series Book 4) ❤️🔥❤️🔥 absolutely loved this book!! I really wish books like this had been available when I were younger. The story line is engrossing and the characters are well developed. I can't wait to start reading the next book in the series! This book 📕 was an incredible cliff-hanger that leaves you begging for more. Definitely recommend this series and the two sisters..
It's an interesting story line. There are a few minor grammer errors but nothing to drastic that I hold against the overall rating, obviously. I enjoyed reading it. I would recommend to any one, it's pretty clean except a couple swear words and no real "sex scences" so its perfect for young adults.
This is a good read for a series. I like that the spirit world was inter gained with the Werewolves . Making it definitely current from other series It's current from most protocol in werewolves and myths
What I liked: -Samara. The main character of this series—fifteen year old Samara—continues to grow on me in each book. Other than a couple of stupid moments where she isn’t thinking clearly, she’s badass, intelligent, deeply caring about the people in her life, and willing to do what is necessary. Samara has grown since the first book. When we were introduced to her, I thought she didn’t have a spine or an alpha bone in her body, but I see it now. After the last couple of books, she has grown tremendously. -Writing style. Normally I tend to greatly dislike third person writing because it can come out sounding choppy and very unemotional, but I don’t get that a whole lot with this series. There are a couple of times where the sentences read as a little disjointed and choppy, but overall the writing is descriptive, emotional, and draws the reader into the story.
What I disliked: -Luke. I’ve never really felt any kind of connection to Luke, and I’ve always kind of felt like his relationship with Samara falls very flat considering they’re soul mates. He doesn’t seem to have any personality other than being the overprotective/supportive mate, and in this book, he took it too far. His behavior while on a date with Samara was very unsettling, and I don’t like how it was waved off because “werewolf mates are usually jealous”. That could be a potentially dangerous situation, and I don’t like it at all. -The ending. I felt like things with Jason got wrapped up way too easily, and it would have been nice to have more of this book be about him and his plans. Instead, it felt like the bad guy was pushed off to the side in favor of lovey dovey situations within the pack. But the very end was what disappointed me the most. -Plot. It seemed like not a whole lot happened in this book. The only real action or drama took place towards the very end of the book. The rest of it was just the characters going on dates, fooling around, or planning what they were going to do when the time came.
Overall, it wasn’t a bad book, but it wasn’t a great book. This one was kind of boring compared to the last two. The main character is strong and intelligent, but the surrounding characters don’t have much depth. The total price to buy this series is kind of high for such short books, and I’m not sure it’s really worth it unless you’re a hardcore fan of werewolves and teenage romance. 3.0
I bought this because it was $2.99 for all 4 books on my Kindle. It looked like a good series. Which don't get me wrong I liked the story line and the Characters. It's a bit repitive. I skimed most of it becuase they would repeat or say the samething they said at one time in the book. They did this a lot so I skimed through all 4 books. Around the 3rd book is when it got interesting for me. But almost all these books were pretty predictiable. There needs to be some corrcetion in spelling and grammer. Like they will say " do you want to be on my pack?" It should be "do you want to be in my pack?" They kept using on instead of in when saying stuff about being in the pack this got annoying. These actually could of been made into 2 big books or heck even one big book. I went and checked and there are suppose to be 2 more books after this one not sure if I'll buy them maybe will get them if the are free or like a buck each.
The Ima pack has been trying to find the legendary tailsman left behind from Samara's grandfather, only to find out that their enemy has it. The Ima pack tries to discover what's being making their rival pack so strong. They find out that the rival pack has been using Black Magic.
Another problem arises when Samara's friend Emma gets bitten. Samara doesn't want to lose her friend, not does she want her friend to be afraid of what she's becoming. Samara and her pack help Emma the best they can. Since they arrived back from Alaska, they initiated Emma. Emma and Colby find out their mates. How can two people who constantly fight or pick on one another become lovers?
I've rated all the books 4 stars. Except this one.
There were a few things that disappointed me. The first thing being the engagement. SHE. IS. 15. Mate or not, it's weird. When I was 15, I was too obsessed with music to think about dating, let alone marriage. I don't have a problem with people getting engaged young. 17 would've been fine. But... ugh...
Anyway, I'm deciding rather I want to finish the series or not. I still don't like Luke. And maybe that's why I'm upset about the engagement. But since Declan MAY be joining their pack, I might read on just for that.
Also Emma and Colby <3 Even though I totally saw it coming a mile away.
Oh my days!!!! Is all I think of to say! I absolutely LOVE this series. I'm quite sad that I read this one so fast and now have wait for the next one! I love the love stories throughout the whole pack and further out, I love the 'mind speak' its brilliant. These books are written brilliantly, and with such great imagination that you could almost believe it's real. I love the twists and the intimate parts of the series, I can't say I have a favourite because I just love all four. Congrats on such an awesome series :) I look forward to more xx
The whole pack is back with tons of drama. I love this series. Samara and Luke are to cute and Emma trying to act like she doesn't want her mate Colby because he isn't the kind of guy she usually dates it just too funny. I feel bad for Chirs when Kynna leaves him to go home to her family how could she leave her mate. I wanted to scream. Kyle is so cute with his new mate Salis and how he's worried his freinds want like him now that his mate is a guy. The whole pack has a lot to deal with but in the end the beat one obstacle Jason. Couldnt put it down and am ready for the next book!!

Omg!! That was yet another great read, I cannot wait until Marked comes out.. I would total recommend this book, one who like's werewolves got to read Howl series they are hard to put down. 5 Stars...
This one kind of disappointed me. A lot more betrayals happened and I was sad to see Luke and Sam get engaged. I believe she belongs in a triad with Declan as well. Hopefully once the packs converge they will see that because it's all so VERY obvious!

Great book honestly but I thought there was going to be more during that fight scene. I mean everything that happened in this book I predicted it. EVERYTHING! Am I psychic? No but it's so obvious a monkey would know.
Things got wrapped up nicely in this book, but it probably could have had a little more detail and action to it. Kind of a letdown after four books. But the main character is awesome, her grandfather's story is pretty interesting, and the writing is good. Definitely a good series.
Black magic is evil, I love him, grandpa, I love him, I love him, Black Magic, I love him, Bo hoo my bro hates me, I love him, Kill, yay, He loves me. It is sad day when I can right the plot of the book this fast.
I got hooked on the series with the first book. A must read book of this series. I read this book in one day. Couldn't put the book down. I am glad all the books in the series were already out when I found this series or the cliffhangers would have driven me crazy.
I don't see why everyone else gave this series such a bad rating?! It is filled with action, adventure, and surprise around every corner. I gave it five stars because of the authors amazing writing and the books excellence in details!
I choose this rating because the book if fun adventurous and keeps you guessing. I read the first one be cause it was cheap and I was bored but they just kept pulling me in!!! I can't wait to find out what happens next.
I thought you only had ONE mate in a lifetime turns out Colby was WRONG!!! HAHAHA. I loved the forth book's ending, overall it was full of action that got me hooked from the very beginning. A great continuation of the series. I am head over heels about this series.
