Where do we go from here? There are so many options, and they can change every day due to the actions of nations or individuals. Humanity has such enormous potential to grow – or to destroy itself with greed and technology.
Within this book you will read more than sixty views of futures near and far. From golden ages of man through to hellhole dystopias, via far stars or familiar locations. Dynamic, emotional, powerful: these tales of people overcoming old trials in new situations, or discovering ways to cope with new travails. Come and join their lives and adventures for a while.
Using the flash fiction format - originally attributed to Hemingway and popular as a medium for visceral storytelling in a minimum of words - interspersed with short fiction pieces, this collection will take you on a tour of possible times to come.
Julian grew up in Sussex, UK. A broken home in his early teens took him off the ‘straight and narrow’, and he’s never gone back. In the subsequent five decades he’s worked at levels from loading bay to boardroom, and picked up a few stories along the way.
His first loves were fantasy and magic; the blending of ancient and futuristic. He started writing at school, extended into writing role-playing game scenarios, and thence into bardic storytelling.
In 2011 he published his first books, in 2012 he released more (along with probably the smallest role-playing system in the world). Since then, he's published over 50 titles and has more than 30 books in progress.
He'd be delighted if you'd care to join him for a tale or two.
