I was given a ARC copy of Captiol Submission book 1 in the dirty filthy serial for an honest review. This book is action packed with secrets and lies from the government on all levels. Throw in touch of Dom and Sub with a twist and you have yourself a great read. When a car bombing takes the life of the first lady and the President, Harrison Pierce,the now vice president takes over. Behind his back people are at work to conspire against him and make the world believe he ordered the car bombing. While he is secretly meeting a sub, little does he know she is the lawyer that is representing the man to believed to have damaging info on Harrison. He wears a mask so she doesn't recognize him, and wonders how far this will go between them, while Terissa wonders who this sexy man is. Come along for the ride, the book will take you on a intense trip and gets more and more interesting as the book goes along. Touche Skylar Cross

Wow! I'm not usually taken excited reading a novella but this one had everything! Romantic suspense, erotic sex scenes. Terissa is an attorney in a prestigious law firm and she has a one night stand with a mystery man in a BDSM club. She is then drawn into a case with twists and turns, still not knowing who her mystery man is (but, of course, we do!). I'll definitely read the rest of the series. This was 4.5 stars for me.

Wow!! Wow !! Wow!! So very good!! This book has definitely got my attention. Capitol Submission is sinfully erotic... It a quick read full of political corruption, lies, deceit, suspense. Skylar Cross has done a wonderful job with this first book of the series.. I can not wait to jump into book 2..

I have the worst habit of picking up Book One in a serial and then never getting around to read it until the remaining installments are no longer available for sale. I suspended the heck out of disbelief for this, and it was deliciously dirty and intriguing. I'm so sad I won't know how it ends! 😩

This writer was provided with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book. It is a novella length read, but is strong on hot romance and a plot which quickly engages the reader, and leaves you wanting more.
Terissa is a young attorney on her way up in the world. She snagged a job at a high profile Washington Law Firm and when approached by a Senator to be his special counselor, she feels like her professional life is on its way up. With a thriving career, getting involved in a relationship does not seem like something she has time for. That is until she meets a masked man at a BDSM club. Going to a club like this is out of character for her, but when a man she knows only as “Commander” takes her, she is left full of a desire that has her doing a lot of things that she would not usually do.
Who is the “Commander.” From their little interaction, Terissa is able to determine that he is someone with substantial power in Washington. But how much power, and how high in the government does his control reach.
Unlike a lot of shorter reads, this story does not seemed rushed, instead well paced. It is hot, fresh and a fun quick read.

I love this new serial. I really do because it's well written, it's got a sophisticated and well-planned suspense plot, and a high level of dark and sensual behaviour.
I loved everything from the shady politics to the depraved sensuality, the spy-like atmosphere to the surprising character dynamics. It's a gripping story that I'll follow through to the very end because it's piqued my curiosity on different levels. Too hot to handle, but you bet I'll dare to.

This was a great fast read. The story pulls you in and makes you keep reading. I’m glad I have book 2 to read right away and don’t have to read. Terissa Ivers is a hot shot D.C. attorney. Her friend takes her to this club but she doesn’t know till she gets there that it’s a fetish club. She finds herself in a private room doing things she has never done before. Here she is doing everything he tells her to and is more turned on then she has ever been before. Her secret man makes her call in the Commander. Then there is her day job as an attorney. Her new client has info that her boss and a senator want her to get. The twist is who her secret man is. Her secret man and her case are connected in a way you would never imagine. This is the first book by Skylar that I have read and I loved it. I have a feeling Skylar is going to be added to my favorite author list after this series. She writes a great story with fantastic characters.

The story centers around an international group of terrorists that have held the US virtual hostage for years. With the recent deaths of the president and first lady in a highly suspicious accident, the new president must find their killers, the bomb and a missing covert ops team before someone pushes a trigger. It's a high energy suspense novel with an erotic twist.
Written in a four novella set, each part has been released separately over a three month period with the most recent releasing in June 2015. Be warned, each of the first three books does end in a cliffhanger. Book one is free so if you want to try this series, you are out nothing to do so and I do recommend you do.
The characters are well-drawn and the descriptions of Washington DC politics and maneuvering is accurate if not a little worrying to the average citizen. Supporting characters do not overpower and titillate us with hints of their own stories, something I'd love to see in the future.

Terissa is a hot shot lawyer who finds herself in a fetishes club and met up with a masked man who makes her do naughty, dirty things. Unbeknownst to her is the masked man is none other than the newest president pop the United states. A former Navy SEAL, Harrison doesn't really like his newest 'job'. He's investigating a terrorist captured at the Pentagon and is only allowed to destroys by hiding his face as the president of the United states is not allowed to go out and look for women. Terissa is on a case where she finds out the young 33 year old president may or may not have killed the former president and first lady. But does she realize the man giving her immense pleasure is the one and only, President of the United States?
From the very first chapter this book hooked me. I loved the secular tension and Suspense in this book! It IS a cliffhanger so I suggest getting all four books before starting this one. It's a very quick read only took maybe an hour or two to finish. I can't wait to start the next one.

Quite frankly this story is ludicrous. However the writing is well paced and there are enough characters and threads to make this feel like a properly thought about and constructed tale and not the output of a creative writing class like so many other short stories. I was disappointed that it isn't a stand alone story, as the trend for cutting a novel into small parts irritates me. I knew it was part of a series but not that it din't have a proper ending!
As is usual in the genre the men are all incredibly fit and the women are gorgeous. No-one behaves as people in real life and and recklessness and stupidity go completely without consequences. However this is fiction, and pretend-land, and it mostly works in its own context. There isn't a lot of sex in this part of the tale (but it is only about 75 pages long) but what there is of it is written reasonably well, and at least there isn't sex on every other page just for the sake of it. I personally won't be buying the rest of this but I can sort of see why others might. 2.5 Stars out of 5 for me.

This was my first book by Skylar and I was very intrigued from the get go. I read this book in under an hour I just couldn’t put it down. At first I thought it was all told in Terissa’s POV but I loved how it switched over to Harrison as well.
Terissa goes to a club with her co-worker but it’s not a normal club. This is where she first meets her mystery person. Of course we know who it is but Terissa still has no idea. She is an attorney by day but also has a submissive side, which loves to come out.
This is a very fast paced story. I literally have so many questions that need answers. There are things happening that I feel are actually something completely different. When book 1 ended, I was like NOOOO I have to keep going to find out what is going to happen. Don’t miss out on this awesome start to this 4 part series.

Terissa, začínající, ale schopná advokátka, zajde s kámoškou do fetish klubu, je v něm poprvé a hned se nechá podrobit superkrasavcem s monstrpérem v masce a přeblafne mu ho. Tímto to začíná, ale krom ještě jedný sexuální scény je rozehrán napínavý příběh, v němž Terissa zjišťuje vlastizradu, do které jsou zasazeni i nejvyšší činitelé včetně prezidenta. Ano, hádáte správně, tím dominantem v masce je prezident. Mladý, svobodný, nadržený, který řeší stres posubením žen. Což teda evidentně znamená, že mu musí říkat "Commander", ale jinak dělá s nima docela běžný věci. Aspoň zatím.
Detektivní linka nepůsobí úplně stupidně, křečovitě, přehnaně. Není to sice nijaká originální zápletka, ale zatím se to zdá fajn...tak holt pokračování příště!

I received an ARC of Capital Submission book 1 for an honest review. You're in for a wild ride with Skylar Cross' hot new book. There is sex, conspiracy theories, a masked man, a lawyer... And did I mention sex. There are Dom and sub aspects to this book.
Terissa is a lawyer that hooks up with a masked man, who is it really the president Harrison Pierce. They get interrupted by one of Harrison's Secret Service Agents. This Agent then gives Terissa a cell phone tells her to expect a call.
Terissa then goes about her business being a lawyer when her boss comes up to her and tells her she has a very important case. And Terissa representing a man that has some damaging evidence against Harrison. But cause Harrison always wore a mask when they had their encounters she doesn't even know he is the president. Come along for the wild, sexy ride that is Capital Submission.

This is the first book in the series & I'm very anxious to read the next one. The book starts off with Terissa in a room inside a fetish club with a masked stranger commanding her to get on her knees. He has to leave abruptly & one of his guards gives her a burner phone & tells her he will be in touch. Terissa works for a high profile attorney in Washington DC & the next day at work her boss & a Senator tell her to go meet a CIA programmer who has evidence against someone high up in Washington. During the meeting the man tells her he has a flash drive with proof that the current President (formerly the Vice President) ordered the car bombing that killed the former President & First Lady six months ago. This was a short book but it was very enjoyable & I cannot wait for the next one.

When Terissa meets the mysterious man she gives in to her inner desires. She has no idea who he is but she can't stop thinking about him. Harrison is a very powerful man is a very powerful position. When he sees Terissa he can't help but feel a tug towards her. She is working on a high profile case and we learn what it's about, now we have to figure out what's going on. I was kept interested throughout the whole story and look forward to reading what comes next.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This is the first book I've read by this author and WOW!! You have a dead President, young new President that seems someone is trying to set up, a masked man, throw away phones and sex hot sex!! Terissa is a lawyer that finds her submissive side and that surprises her. Meanwhile in her job she's the one in control and her newest case is someone who claims to have evidence against the new President but she thinks something doesn't make sense and tries to figure it out. The story line and characters are very strong and makes you want more! Can't wait to read more!

When I read the blurb for this book I immediately wanted to read it, but it couldn't be as good as it sounds right? No, it's even better. This book surpassed all of my expectations and more! Skyler Cross is new to me but she definitely has a new fan in me! I was drawn into the book from the very beginning, the plot is so rich and full of twists and turns, it will hold you captive until the very end. For me it ended all too soon, but hooray this is only the first book in the series! on to book 2, I can't wait! I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. You have a little D/S play but you also get corrupt politicians, suspense, Lawyers, presidents, snipers, spy's. Just wow. This read does not disappoint at all. It leaves you wondering who the good guys are and who the bad guys are gonna be. Cannot wait to continue this amazing series.

Short, sweet, teasingly to the point. The new President has a fetish, and likes to keep his private life.... very private! Kinky debauchery, with espionage and terrorism as it's back drop. Excellent!!!

I enjoyed reading this though I did think it was a bit short but it is a serial after all. I was drawn in right from the steamy start and I'm off to start Book 2.
