This book had a promising start but a very disappointing middle and ending. The decent sci-fi premise with a worm hole to another system dissolved into tired tropes related to fated mates and alien men outnumbering their women. And these tired tropes have been done much better. Plus, the poor grammar and incorrect word usage was overwhelming. Please author, hire yourself a proofreader.

I liked the story line but I needed more details. The heroine for being smart didn't meet my expectations in what she did with her time on an alien planet. Then the sex turned into BDSM and I liked this book even less. The frequent typos were distracting and easy to fix without an editor.
It was surprising that while there is graphic sex the f-word is changed to frack.
Not something I'm going to read again.

I actually really enjoyed this story a lot! I liked the intelligence of the heroine as well as her general kicka** personality. Dallas was a strong female character and I dug that about her. I also like the hero a lot and I liked that even though he came from a more "male dominated" culture on his planet he wasn't grossly alpha.
I also enjoyed the fact that this story had an interesting plot line. I haven't read too many "alien" romances, but the few that I have had generally had a similar story line. Alien's planet is running out of males or females...so they come to earth looking for replacement companions. But 'Claimed' dealt with a female astronaut who gets accidentally sucked into a wormhole and ends up in a different galaxy who have been interested in humans from earth for decades. I also really liked the descriptions of earth in the future, and the orphanage scenario the author came up was really unique.
Overall 'Claimed' was a very good book. It had good characters, the story wasn't rushed, love scenes were steamy, and the settings were very vivid.
The only tinyyyy pet peeve that I had was the heroine's love of the world "frack." haha I understand that everyone isn't necessarily into swearing, but Dallas liked to use it a lot. I've never actually met anyone who actually says frack in real life...so I kind of chuckled each time I read it.

So glad Nia has written another book.
Really liked this story, though its been done before, it still works.
Human woman astronaut, Dallas, falls through wormhole to another planet which has advanced technology but 5 men to every woman. So it feels much more medieval than futuristic.
Their leader Remar, has been dreaming of Dallas but thought it fanciful as no E'rther women were on the planet, though they'd been getting probes through the wormhole for a very long time. They loved the probes and all the information they contained, including languages etc.
Before you know it Remar has 'claimed' Dallas and the fun begins.

Very good sci-fi romance
I enjoyed reading this book. At first I thought that story was slow. I kept putting it down to do other things. Lol

Hope for a second book
I read a lot of sci-fi romance books,usually on the kindle limited free for prime members. Rarely have I been tempted to purchase a book before reading. This one,I purchased after reading the small bit for free. Buy this book. I usually skip some of the scenes in the free books,but this one,no way. When I thought that I knew what the heroine would do,she zigged when I thought she would zag. Refreshing. The hero is some super sexy hunk,with a brain. Together,they were great. Another book please,,since there are many characters, like Remar's sister,his former lover,or maybe some other E ther like Dallas coming through would be great.

Not bad... pretty decent good story
Liked the story. I was a little disappointed that Dallas was so accepting of her fate. The story would have been better with a little more building between the relationship. No one just accepts being kidnapped and then forced into a claiming. Dallas was a little too forgiving for my taster and should have made him work a little harder to gain her trust.

This was a quite enjoyable first book by tis author for me. Ms. Foxx did a great job of world building. Dallas is an astronaut on her last mission which will pay back the enitity who educated after being abandoned by her mother to an orphanage. She is captured by a worm hole and brought to another part of space which has been receiving Earth objects for some time. This is the first time that anything alive has come thru. They even received Scooby Doo cartoons.
This is a "Mars Needs Women" trope which is common in SciFi Romance and is a welcome edition.
Dallas is a strong character who keeps her head while under pressure, knows when to fight another day, and when to fight today. Remar is also as strong, but learns to live with the E'rther woman who is unlike the women of his world. This new society is part super advanced and part medieval with a male dominated society in which men out number women.
I read this book thru the Kindle Unlimited program and will most likely purchase the book for future readings.

Overall average book with unique storyline
I have read a lot paranormal and sci-fi romance books and they all have a tendency to follow a general format within a overall given framework (e.g. girl abducted by alien, virus wipes out all alien females need earth females, etc...). This one however was unique enough that it kept my interest piqued to warrant a better than average rating of four. Overall I found the story build decent, not outstanding. The grammar and language within reason, errors present but not glaring distracting. Honestly, the unique plotline was the single most deciding factor.
Sexual content very descriptive, includes dubious consent, consensual BD, discussions regarding sexual abuse and incest. Heat level: 5

Dallas gets sent through a wormhole and transported to another galaxy. There she meets Remar a high commander who she's been having dreams about recently and he's been dreaming of her too. In order for Remar to bond with Dallas he has to participate in a claim challenge against many others and of course he wins. After that Dallas and Remar become bond mates and now all they have to deal with is their culture differences or maybe not. Dallas is kidnapped by a another high commander and Remar goes above and beyond looking for her and doesn't stop until he finds her. >_<

I loved this book, very science fiction with a heavy dose of romance. Unique and sexy this book was original. Our MC Dallas is an orphan astronaut out on a space mission when everything goes to hell. Dallas is smart and efficient, a confident woman who has a...are you ready for this? A brain! Yes, and I loved the interaction between her and her man. The man she didn't know she belonged too.... I will read more from this author in the future.

January 11, 2016This is the most annoying type of alien book. It's the kind where as soon as the woman is dropped into this unknown world, she's immediately implanted with a translator and every communication issue is magically solved.
Basically, this takes away any unique interactions that could happen in this new alien world because they all manage to communicate better than if I--not being Chinese--went to China. Ugh! It's such a cop out on the author's part. Completely unoriginal.

This is the very first book I have read by Nia K Foxx and I must say hot-damn! This book was great! The characters developed perfectly, the events were eye catching, and this book held my attention all the way through. I am most definitely going to keep this author on my radar. Love this book

3 1/2 stars. Good story full of destined love, betrayal, kidnapping and adventure. I really enjoyed the interaction between Dallas and Remar and their evolution as a couple. My one qualm with the story were the syntax and grammatical errors - a good proofreader could have fixed the problems quickly. Is this the beginning of a series?

I loved this story. I enjoyed it immensely. The characters, the plot and of course the thrill of being on a new World. I love Alien Worlds and especially Alien Romances.

Once more you have your alien romance , but now is the girl who is the alien. Female stranded in an alien planet with no way to get back home .She has to try to make a new life with strong ,.big alpha male. I love the characters .

I found this book lacking in regards to me wanting to connect to the characters and be involved in the story. The plot is good even though you have probably read it before but it was the execution of the story that left me not wanting to finish it

Of course Nia's writing is impeccable. The story had an amazing flow and kept you interested from start to finish. My only problem was the word "frack" I have no idea why.
