Outstanding read! Wonderful character development, although in some cases it took most of the book for some of the revelations I own both the audio book and the kindle edition, I have to admit I read along as the book was read to me. The narrator did a wonderful job of mixing his voices to give character to the characters. I look forward to the second book. Meanwhile on to book 2.
Outstanding read, the narrator does a wonderful job with his voices; bringing the various characters to life! Author A.D. Starrling does a change-up, I got caught up in her writing and Lucas Soul. This book is about completely different characters and former US Marine turned retired Homicide Detective Reid Halsey makes only a brief mention near the end of the book. I look forward to the book 3.
What other blurbs can I use to describe these books? Again the narrator does a wonderful job bringing the characters to life. Oh well, buy the book, read the books, get into a good author and some good characters as I have. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Having read the first two books of the compilation and I just finished reading , Empire. I would say the stories are excellent! There is lots of action, mystery, plot twists, romance and even humor. The first story is about Lucas Soul and Anna Soul. Warrior is about Alexa and Jackson and the final story , Empire, is about Conrad and Laura. All turn out to be related but the stories are well written but will keep your interest. Whether you read the book or as singles I do recommend the series by the author!

After reading book one in this series, I found myself captivated by Lucas! These short stories go in depth with events mentioned in Hunted and were well worth reading. This fantasy series has caught my attention with its Highlander-esque overtones, constant action, interesting history markers, and fascinating characters!

Class great read. Loved it

Surprising how easy I got into the books suddenly realising I was looking forward to finishing work to read more pages. Each book as great read on their own but cleverly brought together as you keep reading. Looking from various perspectives and how each story unfolds. A good action thriller, gripping film quality stories.

Great story

Plenty of action and mystery. Didn't think I would enjoy the immortal parts in the story. But I was wrong , I really like how he made them fit in with the mortals. Great book.

I really liked these novels

These were like Jason Bourne books but with immortal races added to the mix. They are well-written, have tons of action and intrigue. I enjoyed each one

Absolutely riveting!

AD Starrling has crafted a well researched historical urban fantasy. I absolutely love the details she puts in to her work…and the character development along with the fictional world building has locked my interest on the entire series.

awesome reading

Loved the first 3 novels in this series.

They are action packed and have good character/world building.

A lot of detail, research and creative writing has gone into these novels.

I look forward to rest the rest of the series.

After reading the other two series of A D Starrling’s I was afraid that the Seventeen series would be a let down but they are excellent. A great series I am ready for book 4-6 now.

Soul Meaning (Seventeen #1) – Soul’s constantly looking over his shoulder for threats that have been following him his whole life. Then one day Reid walks through his door and is very persistent about wanting to know everything about him and wanting to work with him. Now Soul and Reid are in a race to save the immortals and humans alike from imminent danger with the help of others that want to help Soul and not destroy him. Secrets are unraveled and lives are lost but love holds strong. Reid, Soul, and Anna make one heck of a team when they all come together along with quite a few other main characters. A.D. Starrling really drew me in and kept me there.

King's Crusade (Seventeen #2) – Alexa King doesn’t really know who she is or where she came from and Dimitri her godfather may be on the path of finding out. When things go amiss in Egypt Dimitri asked Alexa for help along with Zachary Jackson, a professor. More secrets are revealed as more things come to life in the immortal’s history. King and Jackson make a pair to be reckoned with when danger strikes from every angle. In this story you get a glimpse at Yonten, a monk sent to help them. Lives are lost and love blooms strong. King, Jackson, and Yonten are in a race to save the immortals and humans alike from imminent danger with the help of others. A.D. Starrling keeps pulling me into her world deeper with this story.

Greene's Calling (Seventeen #3) – Conrad and Laura share a haunting past that neither of them was able to bounce back from. Separated for so long both on different paths but neither are able to forget what each other means to them. Even more secrets are revealed and more abilities are brought out throughout this story. Conrad, Laura, and Anatole are thrown together in a mad dash to save the world from the dangers that lurk around every corner because of one woman’s greed of ruling everything that she feels was taken away from her. The trio makes a team that rivals no other with the assistance of military forces. A.D. Starrling pulls me further in to her world yet again.

I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review. Only an honest one.

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. 4 fairly well written short stories (book). They weren’t very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish, but never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. I’m not real sure I understood any of the 3 story contents very well. The Meeting was the only 1 I liked/understood. That said I will only rate the 4 short stories at 3/5 stars.

Excellent collection of short stories, starting to detail the life of an immortal. Action-packed and full of adventure, these are well-written and with characters that really come to life. And each is brilliant as a story in its own right, without taking into account the immortal element. Can't wait to read the rest of the series!
I'd definitely recommend these stories to anyone who likes fantasy stories, but also to anyone who just likes short stories with plenty of action, and they are suitable for anyone from late teenage upward (there's a bit too much violence for younger readers - necessary as part of the story, but still not too appropriate for young readers).
