(4.5) ARC Review - Envy by Amanda Holly and Ryleigh Sloan.

This was a very good start to the 7 book series following the seven sins. This one started off with Envy in Xavian and his mate Celeste. When vampire meets witch and a very interesting magic system in their world.

Both Celeste and Xavian were fighting against the prophecy and they had to go through some serious battles to realize that the path was already drawn.

The book was fast paced and filled with tense moments. This is an adult open door spicy dark romance, not recommended for younger readers at all.
The story line is interesting and I look forward to meeting the other brothers and to see what their stories will bring.

Okay, I actually really enjoyed this one! 👀

The fated-mates connection between a witch and a vampire was definitely my favourite part. There’s just something about throwing supernatural beings together and saying “congratulations, you’re mates now”.

The plot was honestly surprisingly good and kept me invested, and I would definitely recommend giving this one a read.

My biggest issue was the pacing. Things happened FAST. Like… blink and suddenly we’re already there. 😂 I’m a huge slow-burn girl, so I definitely wanted more tension, anticipation and build-up before things moved forward.

And the FMC? Girl. 😭 Some of her decisions had me sitting there thinking, “Please use your brain. Just once.” 😂 She was way too impulsive for my liking, and there were definitely moments where I wanted to reach through my Kindle and have a little chat with her.

Overall, a really enjoyable read with a fun premise, a surprisingly solid plot and enough spice to keep things interesting. Definitely worth adding to the TBR if witch/vampire romance and fated mates are your thing. 🖤📚

Really enjoyed the book. The plot was very exciting and new. The character development was really impressive,them trying to understand each other's needs and their own was really exciting to watch. I actually had some issues during the middle section of the book . The ml not giving the fl enough agency was messing with me but at the end it came together really well and every issue was kind of resolved. I didn't realise that the issue i was feeling was an actual issue in the book to be later resolved. The tension between the characters was also good. I personally loved the mls parents a lot. I would absolutely love to read a book with them as the leads.
