Oh, poor Nyssa.

The plot of this one, frankly, hit like slamming into a brick wall. I was lulled into a false sense of security by the plentiful and boiling-hot smut, then smacked with consequences of complacency as hard as the characters were.

The story hit a lot sooner than I was expecting. I kept checking pages numbers like. Wait. I'm not even halfway through? This feels like the end—and then I kept being dragged along the path like *I* was the one being enchanted. And from there, I consumed the rest of this book so quickly that I forgot to eat lunch.

And in several places, I very nearly cried as their story unfolded. As we saw more of these two women. And the ending definitely did make me cry actually. Like a lot.

Eve and Nyssa's story is truly so sweet and beautiful, even if it's tangled up in all the complexities of fae culture and the important matters that the author's world held over their heads.

Anyway, if I thought Enchanting Roles was a masterpiece of dubcon, this is a solid gold statue made to honor the concept. Nyssa falling into submission the way she does is honestly adorable.

P.S. I love the epithets more than life itself, they're my favorite thing ever

P.P.S. Moo

This is my third Sova book and they are quickly becoming one of my favorite wlw authors! I was so caught off guard in a good way, I didn’t see the twist coming at all. Nyssa is a prickly character that I felt very drawn to, she broke my heart at times because her struggle with a large family that’s kinda left her behind, along with a domineering father and there-but-not-really-there mother tugged at my heartstrings. Also, the magic is so fun!! The meadow was described so beautifully and unique, I don’t think I’ve read a fey book yet with this type of home/magic system and I fell in love with it. And the drama!! Eve, you kept me guessing lol

The name magic was so cool, I love the taking a name and splicing it to create something entirely new, and two of Nyssa’s creations I just adored and why she made them. The spice between Nyssa and Eve was so well done and their relationship is beautiful.

I recommend to anyone wanting a spicy but cozy wlw story with twists you truly don’t see coming. I love these characters and this was such a fun read. I received this book as an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

I don’t think there is anything from this author that I won’t read and absolutely love. You get the same feeling from the others but there is just something so different that makes this one stand out.
The drama and storyline tugs at your heart while the spice and intensity keeps you reading and going.
I was absolutely caught off guard and that’s exactly why I love stuff like this, there was nothing leading up to the climax that told me what was going to happen and I was not ready. Flabbergasted even. 10/5 stars. Is that possible? It should be.

It's a cozy book with adorable characters, and just the right amount of spice. wlw with fairies, what more can one ask for? Add on top a unique magic system and you're in for a fun read.

I simply didn't like this. I felt like it sounded good but it is very stilted and spins around and around and just doesn't go anywhere
