Viola's Heart Strings
After a whirlwind courtship in Monaco, innocent Viola falls in love and marries enigmatic Sir Anton Valise. Following their honeymoon in France, she begins a new life at his estate in Dorset, England. Anton's need for passionate, dominant love-making is haunted by memories of his first wife, Margot, and he fears his new wife will falter in her love for him if she does not remain obedient. To keep her loyal, the baronet introduces rules to aid Viola's submission but suppresses his desire to spank her when she errs.
With nobody to befriend or trust, the lonely Viola overhears the hushed conversations of the servants discussing the beautiful Margot, whom died in mysterious circumstances, and she discovers secret rooms in the house, which unearth a side of Anton she had not imagined.
Viola fears Anton will never cease loving Margot and she is determined to keep him happy. Not for me
A young naive girl seduced by an older man. He teaches her to be seen and not heard though sex and punishment. Rough is one thing but he humiliates her. I don't like that part. I did like the way he treats the stepmother.

This was a good read. I enjoyed the author's writing and the progression in the leads romance was great. I also enjoyed the mystery element in it. I'm not a fan of books with spanking and BDSM but in this book it wasn't over done so I appreciate that.

Enjoyable
Owes a lot to Rebecca- the beautiful first wife; the nervous\innocent second wife; the broken ornament; the obsessive housekeeper; the recommendation of a (style) reminiscent of the first wife; the mysterious death.
Add in some domestic discipline and it's up to date!!

A perfect DD or D/s story.
By far a new favourite for me. I'm so glad I read the review of J. Henry on amazon (I agree entirely with her) because it was one of the best books I've read about introducing a bride to Domestic Discipline. At the very beginning, I found the courtship was rushed, especially for the century, but it will suit the story well a little further on when love between spouses will become crucial for the story. Not only the new bride will feel a debt for her husband, but also she will be challenged by her husband's late wife's memory. Then her desire to become the best submissive wife will be mixed with her own pleasure while being possessed by a caring but strong husband. The historical romance is top-notch, and the sex is fabulous while remaining erotic and tasteful.
