This was such a fun book. I loved Trace and Azlan's low key instant chemistry. I'm not a huge fan of insta-lust or insta-love but while there was immediate attraction at the beginning, it wasn't over done. It felt more like "oh hey, you're hot and seem interesting" rather than "omg he is the most beautiful man alive and I want to climb him like a tree I don't care about anything else." Once they did admit their feelings though, the pace picked up hard, so I would say that it does still fit the insta-love category. If you love that and fated mates (and babies!) then this will be right up your alley.


Can we talk about Azlan for a second because holy green flags, Batman, this is the kind of man everyone hopes for. His respect for Trace and his autonomy was so refreshing in a trope where that's often ignored or only paid lip service to in favor of spicey scenes. Plus he's so adorably protective of his omega.


There were a few cons, which was why I couldn't give it a full 5 stars. Some of the dialogue felt stilted and there were times when exposition was used to describe something I really would have liked to see on page. There were times when a scene felt like it ended before it really even began. There were some exposition dumps at the beginning, particularly one character's back story that felt rushed, like it was basically just, "Here's what you need to know so we can get to the story." It's too bad because it was a key part of the plot and could have been really interesting if it had been expanded on a little more. It feels like the book would have benefited from an extra 50-100 pages to really let it breathe but maybe that's just me. I love books you can really sink your teeth into.


All that being said, the author did an amazing job setting the atmosphere and making you fall in love with the characters, especially for a shorter book. The plot was... a plot. Nothing terrible, nothing amazing, but that just allowed you to really focus on Trace and Azlan, who are truly the highlight. And let's be honest, we are all here for the romance. I can confidently say that the author delivered!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🐺❤️ Fated Mates + Omega on the Run + Protective Alpha! 🏜️🥰

I really enjoyed An Omega in Trouble! Trace and Azlan’s story had a great combination of danger, new beginnings, fated mates, and a protective alpha who comes into Trace’s life exactly when he needs someone. ❤️

My heart went out to Trace from the beginning. Being treated like something his partner could actually gamble away was horrible, and I was so glad he didn’t stick around to find out what would happen. He runs, gets rid of his phone, and starts over at a desert resort, hoping he’s finally far enough away to be safe. 🥺

Then along comes Azlan. 🐺❤️ I loved that while Trace is working at a resort designed to fulfill other people’s fantasies, he unexpectedly meets the alpha who might fulfill his own. Even better, Azlan notices that something isn’t right and wants to help rather than simply looking the other way.

I especially enjoyed watching Trace begin to realize that his past doesn’t have to determine his future. After everything he’s been through, finding someone who genuinely wants to protect and care for him made their connection that much sweeter. 🥰

Of course, Trace’s past hasn’t disappeared completely. Those threatening messages and the possibility of being found added just enough suspense to keep me wondering when trouble would catch up with him—and what Azlan would do when it did. 👀🔥

The fated-mates element, fresh start, protective alpha, omega-on-the-run storyline, and promise of family made this such a satisfying beginning to the His Alpha Fantasies series. And I can never resist an HEA with adorable babies! 👶❤️🐺

Sweet, emotional, suspenseful, and romantic, with two characters who find exactly what they need in each other.

Definitely 5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

Omega Trace is in hiding after his ex gambled him away to a criminal in a card game. Rather than submit to being owned, he bolted and is now working at a high end resort in the desert, hoping never to be found. He's made some friends and enjoys his role at the resort. It is the fresh start he was looking for when he ran.

Azlan, unhappy with the politics and workload working with the police department, is finally taking some vacation time to help relieve his stress and decide how he wants to move forward with his life and career. While he has a healthy trust fund, he wants to support himself and help others, but his supervisor seems to take it as his personal mission to make Azlan's life difficult.

When he arrives at the resort to begin his vacation, he's immediately enthralled by Trace and works to find ways to get to know the handsome omega. All is well until the criminal who won Trace in the card game arrives. Azlan recognizes him for who he is and will do anything to protect his omega. Thrown together into the high-stress situation, feelings develop quickly between he and Trace.

Azlan is a protective alpha with a heart of gold. His goal in life is to help others who can't help themselves and to protect his omega. Trace is braver than he should have to be and becomes a loving companion to Azlan. Together, they are an attractive and devoted couple.

This is about Azlan, a police detective alpha wolf shifter, and Trace, a down on his luck omega bear shifter. They meet at a desert resort that is part of a kink community and related to the Cuffed club. They have an instant attraction and slowly get to know each other. Trouble comes to the resort by way of a group of mafia men. Trace is afraid they have come for him, due to an ex-boyfriend, so he runs away. Luckily one of Trace’s friends tell Azlan and he goes and get Traced before anything can happen. They admit they are mates and because of Azlan’s connections he is able to get the law involved and let the resort owners know about the mafia men. The mafia are arrested, and Trace is safe. Trace finds out he is pregnant and Azlan takes him home with him. Azlan is having a hard time at work and he hates missing out on time with Trace and the baby. Just when Azlan is ready to quit he is offered a job at the resort where Trace and he met. Trace is thrilled to be back with his friends and Azlan, Trace, and the baby have their HEA.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and highly recommended to those who enjoyed this type of story. Azlan is an alpha wolf shifter who works as a police detective, but has not had a vacation in over three years and decided to go to the kink resort in the desert, which was a part of the club. He was a member of Cuffed, while he is there, Talon who is the one of the owners suggested going to the resort. While Azlan is there, he meets Trace who is an Omega bear shifter. Trace has run away from his ex partner who had used him as an exchange for a card game that went wrong and sold him to a mafia boss. There is a rumour that the mafia are at the resort, while he is working and on the night that he discovers the mafia boss, he also discovers that Azlan is his fated mate.
I loved the drama and the sense of danger that was in this story, and I loved how Trace’s Alpha came to the rescue and they finally mated and go on to have their happily ever after in safety with their baby boy.

A few books ago (Such a Tough Omega) a desert kink resort was added to the Cuffed and Crowned portfolio. "An Omega in Trouble" Book 1 of His Alpha Fantasies, is set in the same resort.
This is a problem for me. While there are House Omegas at the two clubs, I feel the resort takes it a step too far. Yes, the omegas are well taken care of and everything is consensual. But the conversation in chapter two between Trace and Edward gave me an ick feeling. Trace and Azlan have an aboveboard relationship, and we get the full omegaverse fated mate trope. However, the resort remains a playground for rich alphas. Or maybe a high end brothel.
The Harts write wonderful omegaverse. I have 104 on my e reader (with and with out Dunbar, Linde). And as much as I've enjoyed them all, I will not be following this particular series. My honest star rating is 3.5.
I am not turned off omegaverse or the writers Hart. I'm sure there's a delightful alpha/omega pair (or several) from these ladies.

This is a new investment of the owners of Cuffed and its sister club Crowned and now they've found another investor ready to make some dramatic changes to his life.

This book is fantastic! The first of what promises to be an amazing new series by Lorelei begins with the story of Azlan and Trace. Azlan is a police detective and wolf shifter and Trace works at a new resort in the desert and is a bear shifter. The two meet when Azlan visits the resort on vacation. There is definitely chemistry between the two but it will take a date at the on site club to get the two to embrace it. After all, they do turn out to be fated mates. But trouble from Trace’s past has found the resort and it will take Azlan contacting some police friends to end the danger. It will allow Azlan and Trace to move forward to their happily ever after, with a new job for Azlan, and I love how their story ends!.

I knew this wasn’t a long book when I picked it up, but that still left me wanting more time with Azlan, the sexy cop Alpha, and Trace, the sweet Omega on the run.

The story moves fast,love and pregnancy both happen quickly but the intensity of their connection when these fated mates collide is anything but rushed. I was surprised (and honestly delighted) to find out that Azlan and Trace aren’t even the same kind of shifter. That twist isn’t something you see often, and it made their bond feel even more special.

I’m already looking for the next book in the series.

If you want a quick, sweet read with strong feelings and a unique shifter pairing, this one is worth picking up.

This is a sweet, charming, read in one go book. It is everything I have come to expect from Lorelei M Hart. I loved it! Trace and Azlan are made for each other. I love that the story moves quickly, the characters falling in love as fated mates should. They are vibrant and alive. The backgrounds are detailed and colorful, easy to visualize. I was drawn in from the first pages. Although set in the world of Cuffed, it is Cuffed adjacent. There is still kink but it isn't the focus of the story. I loved every minute of it. Bottom line... you have to get this book...Now! Come on... you know you want it!

This was a sweet low-but-not-no heat (there are love scenes on page, with moderate details) short read set in an Mpreg universe where shifters are not necessarily secret, but also not fully open to the human world.

Azlan was a great choice for Hero #1, having made choices to make the world a better place long before the book began. Trace was a sweetheart who couldn't know what a new role at the resort would open up for him.

One of the things I liked is that when the story begins Trace was already working at the resort, it didn't start with his journey running away from the men his partner basically sold him to, so we got to pick up shortly before the main action.

This series so far is really nice. Omegas working at this resort...most were in bad situation and they get a fresh start at the kinky resort. Trace was fortunate to get a chance to work there peacefully until his past catches up to him. Good thing Azlan..his fated was there to help take care of that terrible situation so he can live his good life with him. Azlan has his issues too but this wasn't too angtsy that the romance between the two could shine. Just a little kink was shown along with a little shift to their animals to strengthen their bond. Lovely romance and a nice ending.

Oh my stars! EXCITING! Trace, an omega on the run from a bad partner who did him wrong. He finds a bit of sanctuary working at a resort. He is content, loving his job and new friends. Azian, is an alpha Detective, discontented with the politics of his job and takes a vacation to regroup and find his place. Azian and Trace meet and enjoy each other's company until Trace gets an unfortunate blast from his past. Azian, goes into cop protective mode and the adventure begins. Great story about secrets, intrigue, betrayals, friendship, protection and recognizing that love is a strength that lets you take a stand. Great story, amazing characters, great cover art! This is a good starter story for the new series. Trace is a sweet, hardworking omega that I wanted to protect. Azlan is not the usual spoiled rich alpha. He too is hardworking and wanting to help others that are not as blessed as he is financially. His protection of Trace is instant and fierce. Love the opening of a new club in the desert. Maybe an eventual crossover with Animals. Just saying.

Trace is kind of hiding, he's working at at resort that caters to rich people with a liking for kink. It's a luxury resort that the cuffed partner Talon recommends to Azlan. It's a wonderful story with fated mates finding each other. Things get potentially dangerous. Azlan uses his contacts to make sure his mate Trace is safe. I liked it. It didn’t feel rushed like the previous series that set this one up. There is some very mild crossover that moves the story forward but it wasn’t forced and was very enjoyable.
