Catty Noir is a pop star, but she can't feel the music in her heart anymore. Catty is going to Boo York with all her ghoulfriends for a creeperific party to celebrate the night of the comet. They saw screams come true in Boo York. Will Catty find her voice there?
It was okay but even for the age group, it is meant for it was a bit confusing. It sounds like a two-year-old tried to write it with random words. Could have made it better and less confusing on the poor kids.
Catty Noir wants to find her voice. Catty goes to Boo York. In Boo York she meets Seth. Seth is the son of the Queen of Boo York, Madame Ptolemy. Seth is a prince. Seth thinks his 'old name' is lame. He changes his name to Pharaoh.Pharaoh takes Catty to the Monster of Liberty and she find's her music. Toralei steals Catty's and Pharaoh's voice with a magic crystal. Luna saves the day by retrieving the crystal back from Toralei. This book gives children the encouragement to follow your dreams even if someone tries to seal them from you.
My brain hurts just trying to follow the plot of this...
There is such a huge focus on boyfriends, girlfriends, and relationships. Keep in mind this book is intended for kids reading around a 2nd grade level, we don't need that in their lives just yet.
The illustrations are literally screenshots taken from the show and pasted on to the pages, could Mattel get any lazier?
As a Monster High fan, I found this to be an interesting read. However, I noticed that the plot in the book deviated from what it was originally intended to be, which left me somewhat disappointed.
