Ten years ago, the billionaire Alpha’s people threw a dollar bill at my feet and chased me away pregnant. Now, he’s my daughter's new headmaster. And the worst part? He has absolutely no memory of who I am.
JESSA Marcus Steele. Billionaire Alpha. The man who shattered my world. When I tried to tell him about our baby, I was humiliated and banished from his territory like trash. I survived. I raised our daughter alone. When my car breaks down in a violent storm, the towering Alpha who steps out of the shadows to rescue me is him. I flash a fake wedding ring to keep his predatory gaze at bay. But when a lethal poison targets my daughter, Marcus forces us into his heavily guarded mansion. Under his roof, every scorching touch threatens to melt my defenses. I must stay strong. If this ruthless Alpha realizes the ten-year-old girl down the hall is his blood... he’ll never let us leave.
MARCUS I gave up my Alpha title to raise my orphaned niece. I don't do mates. Then I find Jessa stranded in the rain. She’s a fragile human, fiercely defensive, and wearing another man's ring—yet my dormant wolf is roaring that she is ours. I crave her. I want to rip that fake ring off her finger and claim her. Then I see the birthmark on her daughter's neck. My bloodline's mark. The realization hits me like a lethal blow. She suffered alone for ten years, thinking she could hide my pup from me. She thought wrong. I failed them once. Never again. I will tear the world apart to protect what is mine—and I am never letting them go.

The title on the book and in the description do not match up.
For the most part, I enjoyed this. The MMC was very likable. I didn’t like the FMC until closer to the end. I loved the 2 girls.
Possible spoilers ahead
The FMC has just moved to a new town with her 10 yr old daughter. The daughter got offered a very prestigious soccer scholarship. The FMC’s truck breaks down in the rain- MMC enters. The FMC is a major BYTCH to him. MMC’s wolf is going crazy and he doesn’t know why.
We find out MMC is raising his 10 yr old niece. His brother and brother’s mate was killed 10 yrs ago. MMC is supposed to be Alpha, but he’s letting his uncle be so he can raise his niece.
Uncle has been pressuring MMC to marry OW, but MMC has zero interest because OW is nasty.
Anyway, the 2- 10 yr old girls become BFFs. That pushes H/h together, a lot. H cannot understand why h is so shady and bytxhy to him….so he starts to investigate. We start to get snippets from h’s POV that H is her 10 yr old’s DAD.
Backstory- 11 years ago, MMC was in town for a match. He’s missing “days” in his brain of what happened. Basically, OW drugged him and planned to gRape him to get pregnant. But when she went to bring the car around to load him up, he had run off. 😂 h was some naive girl who knew he was a famous soccer player. She helped him because he was in distress. She took him to her place. H came on STRONG and they had smex. She woke the next morning, and he was gone. 6 weeks later, she found out she was pregnant. She lost everything. She went to where he was at and his guard basically called her names then threw $1 bills at her. She was hungry and broke, so she picked them up. H does NOT remember any of this.
Anyhoo, the h never tells the H about his kid. The H will slowly learn the info himself. Especially when he sees a family birthmark on her neck.
There are people that start trying to ☠️ them. H starts to investigate what really happened to his brother and brother’s mate.
H feels very strongly for h, but he doesn’t think it’s the fate bond because whatever is happening, it’s not as strong as it should be. I knew once poisoning was being used on his brother and brother’s mate, then it was highly likely somebody *cough UNCLE cough* had probably been poisoning H this whole time.
Another storyline is that h knows nothing of shifters. She’s kind of thrown into that world when we find out her daughter is one. She surprisingly takes it better than I thought she would. She was so bitter until about 80% in. Such an unlikable character even though you could understand why she was.
Once h quits pushing H away, they are all in together. The smex is pretty spicy.
The final showdown happens and it’s no surprise at all that it was the uncle behind everything. 🙄 why? Because he wanted to be Alpha. He started by killing H’s parents way back. Then he started to poison the brother to keep him weak. The brother got suss of uncle, so the uncle killed him and his mate. Now, he’s been poisoning H for years to keep his wolf weak. Uncle wanted H with OW because it would’ve “leashed” him…and OW worked for uncle. H brutally ☠️ the uncle. GOOD 👍 H is wounded, and h lets him mark her so it will heal him. H becomes Alpha h is his mate. The girls are now sisters. HEA
What gets to me most about The Alpha’s Unclaimed Mate by Jaymin Snow is the ten years Jessa and Marcus have already lost. There is something so painful about that. You can uncover the truth, explain the misunderstandings, and find your way back to someone, but you cannot give them those years back. That makes the possibility of a second chance feel especially precious.
My heart goes out to Jessa. Trying to tell someone you’re carrying their child is already a vulnerable moment. Being humiliated and turned away by the people around him would leave wounds that don’t disappear just because he walks back into your life. She had to keep going, raise Bella, and make decisions without the support she should have had. I can understand why seeing Marcus again would bring up anger before anything else.
And honestly, I don’t need her to handle all of that gracefully. I can make room for a heroine who is defensive, suspicious, and difficult to reach when her reasons run this deep. Jessa has her daughter to consider. Letting Marcus close means risking more than her own heart, and that makes her hesitation feel very human to me. Part of me wants her to let herself be loved, while another part completely understands why she would hold on to the safety of the life she built.
Marcus makes those feelings complicated because he genuinely doesn’t remember their past. That detail hurts in its own way. Jessa carries memories that shaped her entire life, while he doesn’t even understand what stands between them. I feel for her having to face that imbalance, but I also feel for him discovering that he has a daughter and has missed so much of her life. There is no easy conversation that can fix something that big.
The part of Marcus that appeals to me most is his role in raising Mia. I have such a soft spot for a romantic hero whose tenderness shows through his care for a child. His willingness to take responsibility for his niece gives me something more personal to connect with than his money or status. Protective intensity can be appealing, but the everyday willingness to show up and be needed is what makes me care.
Bella and Mia’s friendship is another detail that warms my heart. There’s something lovely about the girls finding a connection while the adults have so much history to work through. It makes the idea of Jessa and Marcus coming together feel bigger: there is the possibility of a home, of belonging, of these children having more people to love and rely on.
With the threat to Bella bringing Jessa under Marcus’s protection, I keep coming back to how difficult accepting that help must be. Imagine needing to depend on someone you associate with one of the loneliest experiences of your life. That is the emotional tension I connect with most. Being near him might stir up desire, but feeling safe enough to trust him is a much more vulnerable step.
For me, the heart of this story is the hope that Jessa won’t always have to carry everything alone. I’m drawn to the possibility of Marcus understanding what she endured and having the chance to become part of the family he never knew he had. The romance matters, but so does that quieter longing to finally feel supported, understood, and wanted. That’s what makes Jessa and Marcus’s second chance feel worth rooting for.
I absolutely loved The Alpha's Unclaimed Mate. It's now one of my favorites in the rejected-mate-secret-baby trope. Although the rejected mate part didn't happen. Jaymin Snow put her own unique touches in this one, and I couldn't have been happier.
For once, the MMC wasn't a jerk and didn't screw things up. Marcus was actually amazing. He's the headmaster at an elite school for underprivileged youth and pretty good with kids. Unlike other MFCs in this trope, Jessa didn't have any trauma. Yeah, she fell on some hard times, but she picked herself back up and gave her daughter a good life. I liked her. She had a little fire coursing through those veins, as a few of the characters find out. I enjoyed the romance. The push and pull between them was so good. Jessa tried to deny her attraction to him with every fiber of her being. However, Marcus wasn't going to let Jessa slip through his fingers. She couldn't hold up against Marcus's playfulness, caring and thoughtful behavior, and dependability for long.
The plot was excellent. The pack hierarchy was a little different, so that had a big effect on the story. There was poison, mystery, murder, and hunters. A hunter syndicate exists in this world. It was so good. I was very suspicious of one character, and at one point I was yelling at the book because how could they not see it? There were a couple of little surprises along the way, but things worked out well; I loved the ending. If you're a fan of the rejected-mate-secret-baby trope, then The Alpha's Unclaimed Mate is a must-read.
I really enjoyed this second chance romance between Marcus and Jessa. They had been together previously, but he didn't remember and she couldn't forget. The end result was a daughter that he had no knowledge of. They meet again, a decade later, because his academy offers their daughter, Bella, a full scholarship.
He still doesn't recall their time together but that is because he had been drugged without his knowledge. We get an inkling as to who the traitor was, but that person was only a minor player. I thought I figured out who the main traitor 😈🗡️was but then there was a plot twist that caused doubt. But in the end, I was correct 🤫and the traitor got the best punishment.
Marcus had custody of his niece, Mia, as his brother and SIL had been killed. Mia and Bella became best friends instantly and their friendship was a great addition to the story. Absolutely loved the two of them together. They were so cute when they plotted to get Marcus and Jessa together so that they could be a family.
I'm glad that this is just the beginning of the series and am definitely looking forward to the next book.
The Alpha's Unclaimed Mate, by Jaymin Snow was full of intrigue, family drama, and of course romance. Jessa and Marcus met ten and were intimate years ago, resulting in a child. Fate with the help of Marcus' meddling entourage, hid this information from him and kept them apart. In the mean time, wolves are secretly being hunted and eliminated. Fast forward to present time and the two meet again. Jessa wants nothing to do with Marcus, but he and his wolf plan to win her over than claim her as their own. Unfortunately, there are forces that want to prevent this from happening, and will even go as far as murder. This is a page turner that will have you at the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next, while trying to figure out who the bad guys are.

Is it weird to say I liked Mia and Bella's relationship more than Jessa and Marcus'? Because I did. The way they were just instantly best friends was sweet, and I loved it. I could have also done with more Adrian, Cole, Tomas, and Rachel, too
I did figure out the main villain (and assistant villain) almost as soon as they appeared on page, but the reasoning behind it and extent of terrible actions was less expected. I was also happy to see someone I thought might be getting set up for a villain reveal wasn't because it would have made me sad
Over all, it's a good, fun, quick read, and I look forward to reading more books from this author.

Jessa and Marcus have met before but he can’t remember any of it. Ten years later they are reunited when her daughter is accepted in a prestigious academy. Well this story just started off with drama that grabs your attention. As layers are peeled back with the plot, reveal actions become evident.it was intriguing as well as quite entertaining. I was hooked until the very end.

I enjoyed this book and would recommend. Jessa was a little annoying and not likable many times . Not much character description of Jessas looks. What was described doesn’t match the cover art selection for the book though. Loved Marcus , he was the perfect leading man. I did figure the “twist” out early on despite the misdirections. Was a good read either way. Good spice level.
I loved this book. Had some heat in it…but was actually a mystery to b solved. I must say I had my suspicions who it was though. This is my kind of book. A great story, people in it that you can see in ur minds eye, a mystery thru the whole book to solve, edge of ur seat near deaths, and some good heat! Will read more of this author!
18+, XXX. Adult content, reader discretion advised. A man drugged finds a woman to rescue him. He left a present. Ten years later they are reunited. It doesn't go well. Ten years and her still has no memories of her or that night. This is Jessa and Marcus' story. A story of murder and betrayal. A story of second chances.
Very good wolf shifter story. Well written and edited. The story line varies from the average formula making it refreshing and interesting. There's an intelligent mystery along with growing romance, plus cute kids.
Fantastic story about a broken alpha who finds a second chance on a dark roadside and the woman who catches his heart is the same woman from a decade ago and the mother of his daughter
I loved this book so much. The ending is perfect, as always the characters are well defined so you become invested in their story. This is the best sort of story for a drizzly weekend! Couldn't put it down!
I have really enjoyed this and couldn't put it down. A well-written second chance shifter story full of action, with fated mates, a soccer scholarship, an overly protective billionaire alpha and a careful single mother, fated mates, chemistry, love, forgotten memories, forced proximity, secrets, pack politics, betrayal, twists and great character development.
When Jessa moves to a new town for her daughter's soccer scholarship she didn't expect to break down, or to be rescued by Mia's father, though he doesn't seem to recognise her. Marcus had given up his position of alpha so he could raise his niece who'd lost her parents, with his uncle running the pack for him. When he sees the woman on the road in the broken down truck he can't understand why his wolf starts to get excited.
But with his niece and her daughter becoming best friends they're pushed together a lot, though Jessa is reluctant to be near him. With the constant proximity it's great to see them gradually become closer with Marcus slowly discovering what happened to him years ago in a period he can't remember. But can he right the wrongs of the past and will Jessa accept him back in her life?
