The premise of Three Rockstars, One Festival is perfectly workable. Unfortunately, the execution increasingly frustrated me.
Too much of the story depends on contrived situations and people behaving in ways that rational adults simply wouldn’t. The mechanical snake incident is an obvious example, but it continues throughout. Petra supposedly understands the music industry, yet repeatedly risks her career, reputation and health, then blames everyone else when there are consequences.
By the middle of the book, Petra comes across as flighty, emotional and contradictory, while the men are increasingly portrayed as rational, attentive and consent-conscious, apparently only losing their heads because of their instantaneous attraction to her. It creates an odd imbalance that makes it difficult to sympathise with Petra and often makes the men seem right, even when the narrative appears to want her anger to be justified. By the end, I genuinely couldn't work out who Petra was because what she said and what she did rarely matched.
I cannot tell you how much I hated the entire sequence around her friend Cassidy's set and everything that came out of it.
The men aren't especially well served either. Swan is the controlling Dom/leader, Rami the playful, tactile but secretly thoughtful one, and Ezra the quiet, observant one. Their characterisation often feels like shorthand rather than something developing naturally. The repeated reliance on Swan being German to reinforce his coldness, authority or accent also became tiresome.
The reverse-harem relationship itself is strangely underdeveloped. There is almost no meaningful discussion of boundaries, jealousy, safer sex, sharing or what this relationship actually means.
Even the ending feels incomplete. In the epilogue, they're suddenly living together, but where is the fallout? These men are famous. Where are the fans, gossip, speculation and inevitable tabloid interest?
For a book I disliked this much, I had predicably had much to discuss: 66 highlights and 47 notes by the end. That should probably tell you everything you need to know. I clearly had a lot to say, and very little of it was complimentary. What started as occasional irritation quickly became a running commentary on the contrived plotting, questionable decisions, inconsistent characterisation and increasingly baffling behaviour. By the end, my Kindle notes were basically one long tirade of criticism.

I’m always reluctant to be this critical of a book because I know how much work goes into writing one and putting it out into the world. But this is exactly where strong beta readers and editors matter. I cannot believe I am the only reader who questioned Petra’s characterisation, her decision-making and, frankly, the credibility of almost every relationship in the book.

A Little Out There
I have to give this book a 3 ½ star rating because the reality of it seems pretty far-fetched at times. I am a huge rock romance fan and the premise of this book was great but there seemed to be a little too many things that were hard to grasp. Know that this is my opinion and some people may love this book but for me it just missed. Since I did love the premise I would check out other rock romances by this author just to see where things go.

I absolutely loved this book. It follows an up‑and‑coming musician fighting to get her name out there at a music festival — and the three members of a famous rock band who she is paired with for a showcase at the festival. As they spend a week together in a shared villa, the chemistry, tension, vulnerability, and connection between them builds beautifully.
The story is sweet, spicy, and so easy to fall into. You’re rooting for them from the very first chapter, and each character feels human and relatable. I found the whole thing addictive.

I have never, to my knowledge, read anything by this author before. After reading a brief sample, I was curious enough to pick it up.
It was a very enjoyable and quick read. The characters were likable, there was little angst even where there was conflict, and the story moved smoothly. I enjoyed the humor, the personality reveals, and the steam. There were moments where I snickered out loud.
If I see another book by this author, I definitely will check it out. Glad I did this time.

This book was awesome and it had alot of unexpected happening that made for a great love story. I absolutely loved how the characters had awesome chemistry between them.This book had me wanting to finish the book to see how it ended. If you love a steamy hot romance story then you should read this book. I received a free copy of this book from Booksprout and I'm voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book.

This is a really cute, enjoyable, entertaining , spicy book in my favorite genre, rockstar. However completely unrealistic. The situations that were happening were so out of the norm. But if you want to pass a few hours the novel is worthwhile to read. Thank you BookSprout for the advanced copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
