Vander to the rescue again!
But obviously he's not a hero!
Just doing his usual non-hero evening out of foiling of a hundred million dollar robbery, rescuing hostages, delivering a baby..... it's all in a night's work and definitely not something a hero would do!
And Brynn is right there with him....very pregnant but still cool as a cucumber as she negotiates with those holding them hostage like a pro!
They do seem to be a magnet for trouble, danger and slightly crazy people, but Vander and Brynn barely stutter in their stride as they face their worst nightmare - a pregnant Brynn held at gunpoint. This novella is packed with action, danger and unexpected joy, a great visit to Norcross Security, I read this on Kindle Unlimited.

It's relatively short, it's action packed and it's almost a salute to Die Hard so absolutely fun to read ! Ok Vander is absolutely terrifying when it comes to protecting those he loves so having his heavily pregnant wife Brynn held at gunpoint means heads will definitely roll ! It was just meant to be a quick trip to smooze potential clients but getting separated means Vander applies all his knowledge and focus (boy does he have focus) in getting Brynn back .
Vander to the rescue is such fun ! Add in the nod to Die Hard and I was literally sat with a big smile on my face. If you want danger and yes even joy and obviously my lips are sealed hehe then is is the right quick read for you .

As a huge fan of Die Hard, I obviously loved reading this novella! I really enjoyed reading about Brynn and Vander getting their happy ending.

Die Hard Norcross Style
I absolutely loved this fun and fast-paced story! Anything starring Vander Norcross and I'm in. The Die Hard spin kept me flipping the pages and I finished it far too fast. Getting to see Vander, Brynn and the Norcross crew is always an adventure I look forward to!

This is what you get when you mix Die Hard with one of your favourite protector romance series! Festive fabulousness with the already over the top protective Vander and his very pregnant Detective wife, Brynn!
It was supposed to be an in and out, glad hand a couple of potential clients and then home to out their feet up and chill out before the baby comes. But Vander and Brynn always find themselves in the middle of some explosive situation so...naaaaaah!
Vander at least manages to keep his shoes on in this story but he does say that immortal line - yippeekiye, lol! Brynn as usual is her calm, cool, collected self, even when there is mayhem around her. However, even being 8 months pregnant doesn't stop her trying to save the day.
We get to see a bit more of the vulnerable core of Vander, who is kind of tail spinning at the thought of being a dad and trying to protect Brynn from the enemies he's made. Brynn's stressing too - she's not sure how good of a mum she will be, how can she fit being a mum and being a detective into one life.
I was totally in "Nakatomi Tower" with them. And whilst this is a shorter story than the usual books, it still packs a heck of a punch. We get to have a wee visit with some of our other favourite Norcross peeps (and a few others...shhhhhhh).

Intense, terrifyingly competent Vander Norcross is about to become a father and YESSSSS. BUT FIRST. Vander and Brynn have a little socializing to do at a fancy party. It's a chance for Vander to make some solid business connections and for Brynn to enjoy herself one more time before the baby is born.
To say things don't go smoothly might be understating things. Thieves take over the party, issue a whole lot of threats, and Vander and Brynn end up separated. Very quick with tons of action!
Vander and Brynn are attending a large posh party for tons of movers and shakers when a group of ten armed men in animal masks break in demanding a huge amount of money or people will die. Vander was going to get a drink and slipped out. Now he is unarmed and needs to save his pregnant wife as well as everyone else! Read how he goes about evening the odds.
The pace is breakneck and the tone is intense with an action oriented storyline that has no steam. The characters are vivid and kickass. You can read this story on its own, but would get more out of it if you have read all of the Norcross Security series, and book 1 of the Unbroken Heroes series. If you like this, then there are tons of other series that you would like too. They do follow kind of chronologically from Treasure Hunter Security series to Team 52 series to Norcross Security series to Sentinel Security series and then Unbroken Heroes series. There are other's that are tangentially attached, but those are the main ones in my opinion. If you like that action with you got romance, with overprotective men and women who can kick butt too, then these are for you! Enjoy!

I love Brynn and Vander so I was so excited to see another novella featuring them! Unlike the previous novella where we saw Brynn rescue Vander, this time Vander is the one doing the rescuing. Vander may be a tough and protective man, but these novellas show that he is also anxious about his relationship with Brynn and the idea of becoming a father. I really love getting to see this side of Vander and watch him overcome that anxiety, and kick ass while doing it.
The heist in this was interesting because we get to see Vander go solo fighter for a little bit while backup arrives. Brynn may be pregnant but we also see her doing what she can on her end as a hostage, which just made me love her more. These two may not have worked as a team to take down the offenders, but their work still complemented each other and got the job done in the end.
Basically this was short, action packed, and very emotional at the end with the baby finally arriving! These two are my favorite couple so I love that we get to see this happy ending for them. Also I loved seeing Vander smitten by his child!

I have loved all of the Norcross Security books and was so delighted to see we had another one to enjoy! This was an extra treat for all of us....Just perfect! We got to learn more about the sweet and swoony relationship between my favorite couple Brynn and Vander. The story was fast paced, suspenseful and action packed. As usual with Anna Hackett books the storyline was riveting, with a nice dash of humor, lots of clever banter and heartfelt loyalty and support between the team! I don't want to give anything away but there are a few heartwarming surprises that I loved! I highly recommend this book...you will be so glad you read it ... It left me deeply satisfied and with a big smile on my face. Keep em coming Anna! 😇

This short story is packed with adventure. Brynn and Vander Norcross are out on a date. It’s a fancy party for a wealthy company that wants Vander’s security business expertise. Brynn is pregnant and close to giving birth, so she wanted a night out before their lives change with the birth of their expected baby. It turns out that the party is filled with very wealthy clients. Unfortunately, a greedy group decides that this is the night that they will rob this company, à la Robin Hood. Needless to say, things don’t work out exactly as planned for the bad guys.
This is a quick read, and a lot happens in this book. The pace is fast and the tension ramps up rather quickly. It’s fun and exciting and the ending is beautiful in true Anna Hackett style.

I can always count on Anna Hackett books to take my mind off reality. The Norcross Rescue (Norcross Security) was not only well written, fun to read, but long enough to satisfy but short enough for an instant satisfaction quickie. Nothing like having criminals pick the wrong hero to piss off. I love seeing Vander terrified for his wife Brynn but strong enough to do what needs to be done to save her. And don’t worry, our heroine Brynn is no shrinking violet-only a very pissed off pregnant one:). In fact, mama bear comes out and those bad guys don’t know who or what they are facing. A great quick read diving back into the Norcross Security world.

If it's action you're after, nothing beats the Norcross family for taking on the world, and when Brynn is in danger, watch out, Vander will destroy everything in his path. This short but incredibly exciting story is full of action and intense situations where Vander struggles with his emotions and needs to focus his attention. I practically devoured the story, reading nonstop until the very end because of how captivating the plot was. Brynn, as always, showed what she's made of, putting to use the skills that attract and drive Vander wild. I love this couple.

This was such a fun dive back into the Norcross world and I was thrilled to see Vander and Brynn in action again. This time, though, Brynn is heavily pregnant and that really ramped up the suspense when she's with others in a hostage situation. Vander was determined to save not only his wife but also the other hostages... I was so there for this reading ride and loved every minute of it! Expect to be fully engaged when you dive into this exciting read. So good!

Oh my! This was a great quick read - bringing us back into the world of Norcross Security and Vander especially. His love for Brynn is totally on display in this book and the ending……. Talk about suspense. I actually had to read the final part of the hostage situation twice - I read to fast to find out what happened. If you like Vander Norcross and his crew at Norcross Security, you will love this book.

Oh Anna i don't know how you do it, but everytime I read about Vander I fall for him a little more. Oh to find someone like him myself. The story was breakneck speed and luckily I had a days leave so finished it in one sitting. My God is there nothing this man cannot or will not do to protect his Brynn and now his little one (spoiler). I need to go and sit in a dark room and fantasize about a large, dark, brooding man with seriously sexy dark blue eyes...swoon.

The leader of the group takes Bryn prisoner.. she doesn’t play to his expectations…

Love, Action and a baby!! What more could you want!!

Absolutely gripping!! I love this series and the characters are amazing!! You are immediately pulled into the fast paced action and you can’t stop reading to the last word. Terrific story and I can’t wait to read more!!
