Well, considering this isn't a work of fiction I might as well state the facts. My name is A.C. Heller. I live in the overly sunny state of Arizona. I adore my family. I grew up in New Jersey. I hate mushrooms and I only eat the edges of pop tarts because the middle is just too much of a good thing... um... Oh yeah! I'm also an author now. So I have that going for me. Damiano, an immortal, has reached the point of not wanting to take up relationships with mortals anymore, so as to avoid the grief of losing them. Then comes Sophie Nash—a vivacious young woman who basically turns his life upside down. He must protect her and help her find shelter.
Fourth in the Sacrifice Book series, RISE is a spellbinding new addition to the paranormal romance genre. It will have you considering the pros & cons of eternal life. It had me pondering over love—does it last beyond the mortals who convey it? I opened this book and quickly started turning pages. The character development is superb. I really like how the author gets into the heads of Damiano & Sophie.
This the first book by A.C. Heller, but it will not be my last. She is an author who has fully mastered the art of reader captivation. When I closed the last page, I felt like I was saying goodbye to a long lost friend.
