I am a true romantic at heart and with a modern contemporary erotic twist to my romance novels, you had better fasten your seat belt, as the ride is always fun, exciting and fiery. Living in Las Vegas, but a mid-westerner at heart, I find plenty of inspiration for my books in my own exciting life. I have always loved the arts and as a young girl, I took dance classes and spent the summers reading books from the local library. Fascinated with the written word and its power to guide the imagination, I started writing short stories and later took Creative Writing classes in college. I graduated from The University of Iowa with a B.A. in Journalism and an M.A. in Higher Education. I also have a Teaching Credential from Chapman University in Southern California.
I would love to hear your thoughts on the novel. You can email me directly at evecarterbooks@gmail.com and if you enjoyed the book, please share your excitement with other fans of women’s erotic romance. You can write a review by clicking here: Deceived Part 1 – New York
I JUST CANT CONNECT WITH AEYDN. Like ive said in my other reviews...I just don't think I can get past his old drug use and the women. Ive read other books with a hero like this and I was ok with getting past it. But for some reason, I cant like Aeydn. And I even liked him less when he never told Lauren what happened when they weren't together. In this book, pictures were taken of him meeting with Mercedes and when Lauren asked him about it, he said yes, I went to meet her but I couldn't go through with it, I love you...BUT what really makes me mad was, he oh so continently didn't tell her about the hooker he picked up and screwed and did lines of coke with on that very same night!!!!! I know they weren't together but to me, he is misleading her, letting her think ohhh, he turned down that woman because he loved me. I dunno....just didn't connect at all with these characters.
With Aedyn have been in love with Lauren, he will do anything to help her out. With her ex Chip setting her up, Aedyn will do anything to help the love of his life. Just when things aren't looking good, with a reporter trying to stir trouble, with Aedyn and Lauren having a hard time staying apart will they finally get the break they need? Love Aeydn and how he was with Lauren. Can't wait to see what Eve will write next
This book is a perfect example on why I hate stories that are dragged over several books. The first in series was ok, if I wasn't a cliffhanger I never would have bought next in series. Once I finished the 2nd, I had to see how the story ended. And seriously, the 3rd book was TERRIBLE!
This is the third and final book in this series and you must read them in order. I really liked this book and whole series in general. There are lots of twists and turns. This series is about lost love and a bit a trouble. Lauren Mitchell has been thrown in jail and bailed out by Aedyn. She must stay in Granger while Aedyn needs to be in Chicago. Chip has made it look like Lauren was in on the insurance scam and left her to take the fall for all of it. Lauren and Aedyn are now forced to spend more time apart. Lauren has lots of self-confidence problems. Every time she thinks she is making progress something or someone comes along and she is right back to where she started. Now that she is facing possible jail time she worries that it will hurt Aedyn's reputation and that maybe he will realize she isn't worth the trouble. Aedyn has his best people working on Lauren case to ensure that she won't have to go to jail. However they have to find Chip and get him to cooperate in order for that to work. Will Lauren go to jail? Will Aedyn and Lauren's relationship be able to with stand yet another challenge? Lauren is so gullible and has lots of self-doubt. Instead of believing in herself and what she and Aedyn have she is willing to believe what she is told by others. She is so worried about everything and every possible outcome that she begins to doubt everything. Aedyn is totally focused on making sure she doesn't go to jail and being strong for her. He wants a future with her. Aedyn has done some questionable things but then hasn't everyone? His history with drugs and women bugs me but he hasn't done anything like that since he got together with Lauren. I love her crazy friend and would love to read more about her. Lauren's doubt drove me batty sometimes. Overall I enjoyed this book and the series and would definitely recommend it to others to read. I love Eve Carter and look forward to reading other book by her in the future. I was given this book in return for an honest review.
This is one series that I wish could go on forever and ever, I am so in love with Aedyn, you cannot even imagine the love I feel for him. I wish I could tie him up in a box and bring him home to have all for myself. That being said, SAVED BY DETINY by Eve Carter was an amazing read and a series that will be on my to reread list.
The story in this book is very well written and well developed and the plot is fast paced and flowed nicely throughout the whole book, it will keep you on the edge of your seat with anticipation of what is going to happen. The characters in this book are one of my favorites from the writings of Eve Carter, Aedyn and Lauren are perfect together and go through so much in each book in the series that my heart would break a little each time they are pushed apart.
This is book three in the series and the final book (did I mention I am not ready to say good bye to Aedyn and Lauren yet) and wraps up all loose ends for us, however it does leave things wide open for Eve Carter to be able to give me, opps us, more of Aedyn and Lauren's story, which we can all hope she will. This book is based on Aedyn doing everything possible to help Lauren prove that she was not involved in the insurance scam that her ex was running through his family business, and through it all Lauren thinks that Aedyn is leaving her and cheating on her due to a slimy reporter that keeps stick his nose in where it does not belong. I don't fell I can tell you more of what happens in this final book without giving spoilers and ruining the book for you.
SAVED BY DESTINY by Eve Carter was an amazing read and a great ending, but I hope not, to Aedyn and Laurens story, Eve Carter could write about the moon and I would read her books. I would give SAVED BY DESTINY 5/5 stars.
Eve Carter I just could not have asked for a better ending for a series it was absolutely perfect!
Saved By Destiny was absolutely the perfect title for this book it describes the story line that Eve Carter portrays seamlessly. Saved By Destiny picks up exactly where Driven by Destiny leaves off Lauren has been taken to jail and is back in Iowa, Chip has fled town and pinned everything on Lauren and now its up to Aedyn to try and figure out how to get Lauren out of this mess. The question is with the sleaze ball tabloid reporter still following Aedyn and now Lauren around trying to get a scoop or a story will he come up with something or find something now that they are living in two different states? This book is full some high impact emotions we are taking drama, drama, drama, suspense, action and some majorly hot and steamy sexual tension and some hot interactions between Aedyn and Lauren as well.
Eve Carter does such a fantastic job of building tension and creating connections between characters in her books it was amazing to see it play out in the story line throughout this series. It truly was a fantastic series. If you haven't downloaded it or added it to your TBR list add it because this is one hot and steamy series you do not want to miss!!
I haven't read first two books so it was a little difficult for me to connect with the characters. Other than that it was a great read. Story flowed perfectly, there were some twists and turns and ending was good too. There are some steamy and romantic scenes which make it all the more fun to read. Lauren's ex-fiance framed her for an insurance scam. She spent a night in prison and now she must stay within the city limits until trial. Things are nor easy for her. She is away from her boyfriend and long distance relationship is making her insecure. She is second guessing everything she knows about Aedyn. Aedyn loves Lauren and will do anything for her. He doesn't care that she is acused of scam because he knows that she has done nothing wrong. He wants to be with her but his business dealings are keeping him in Chicago. still whenever he gets the chance he comes to see Lauren. All in all it is a good book for romance lovers. But I recommend that you read first two books before starting this one. I'm going to read those next :)
Great conclusion to this suspenseful series. Aedyn and Lauren are sort of a second chance romance. To follow the story the series must be read in sequence. Lauren is beside herself with worry over her trial and Aedyn is doing everything to prove her innocence while trying to track down Chip. Enter Pete, hot PI guy digging up Chip - a series about him would be quite interesting. Of course we have the hot steamy scenes but we also get a few heart stopping suspenseful moments. A dirt bag reporter teasing Lauren with some pictures gets a little too close for comfort. Lauren proves she can be independent and is learning to trust Aedyn after her disappointments with Chip. Lots of excitement and the ending felt natural not rushed like so many other serials. My copy was given by the author for my honest review.
I had not read the first two books in the Aedyn series, so I was a little lost at the beginning of the book but was able to quickly fill in the blanks. Overall, the book was okay. They were times when I felt big periods of time had elapsed without any further explanation or details to what happened. I also thought that the character of Lauren was a little whiny at times. I understand her worry and frustration with the whole situation of possibly going to jail for a crime she didn’t commit, so I guess she can be as whiny as she wants but that just didn’t do anything for me in regard to her story. I probably enjoyed the character of Pete as much as anyone. He was funny unintentionally. I enjoyed the scenes when he was looking for Chip.
Ayden, always new he loved Lauren and when he seen her again years later he was determined to fight for her, although she was engaged to another man. When he seen that she was being abused he tried to fight harder, but she turned her back on him and left him in jail. Lauren, finally walked away from her fiancee and right into Ayden's, arms. Hoping for a better future, until she was arrested for embezzlement, from her ex's father insurance company, now Ayden, has the fight of his life, to save the woman he loves and the future he was destined for.
So many things seem to be working against Adyen and Lauren. Her ex slim ball finance leaves her holding the bag for insurance fraud as he disappears. Then there's the sleazy reporter following them around and adding to her troubles. He accuses Ayden of being in on the insurance scam, dating another woman while being with Lauren and then there's the photos showing the other woman. Will Laruen's insecurities get the best of her? Will Ayden save her from going to prison? Saving Destiny is a great read to the very end once again.
OK I tried really hard. I liked the first book. The 2nd started to get dragged out. The 3rd I just lost interest. I couldn't connect with Adyne and Lauren was just to clueless and whiny. I mean get the damsel in distress bit and that can make a story great but Lauren was the definition of dumb blond. Poor Adyne felt like to much a fool and he over mushed his love. The story line is not terrible, I think the characters just ruined it for me. but to each their own. I have liked books that others have not.
Hot! Aedyn is a skilled lover, intense businessman, and all Lauren's. Unfortunately, Lauren's ex has her framed for fraud and is forced to be separated from Aedyn. Will the distance of being in different states cause problems? Will Aedyn believe the charges? Will Lauren cave under the pressure? Eve Carter's Saved by Destiny was outstanding! Loved every moment of their journey and my fingers are crossed for more stories on Aedyn and Lauren's friends!
OMG, so loved Aedyn, so much drama, intense waiting on a trail for something Lauren didn't do, Chip gone and left her with getting charged, framed her. Everything taking a toll on their love, since Aedyn cannot stay in Granger, and Lauren cannot leave the state, doubts enter in, sleezy reporter plants doubts, great series. Would love for there to be a f/u novella about Aedyn and Lauren, just love them❤️!
Boy does this book have the correct title!! Aedyn came back to town because his father died and he ran into Lauren. His high school love that he's never gotten over. Lauren went to jail because of her ex and Aedyn has made it his mission to find her not guilty! This was such a sweet story and you'll want to read this book straight through!!
Great conclusion to this series! I felt Lauren's frustration with her situation and Ayden as it was my own. Had to take a break in order not to throw my kindle across the room. Fantastic series by Eve Carter. You will need to read the previous two books in this series before you read this book. I'm hoping for a spinoff of Pete and Jules!!!
In the final book in this series, Saved by Destiny, Eve Carter gives the reader what they want to see...but, to get to that point there are many twists along the road. Lauren and Aedyn must fight for what they want. Jules, on the other hand, realizes the path she has taken is no substitute for the real thing.
I did feel maybe some bits of the story where missing, maybe more explanation from Aedyn was needed while they were living apart. I also didn't really connect with the characters this time which is unsual for me with a Eve Carter book. But having said that I did really enjoy the story which has a beauitful ending.
Super sweet and the love of life time , some times we find our soul mate and let them go because we are not ready and them N destiny put them in your way when is just right.
I loved the entire storyline. It kept me enthralled. It was hard to put down. I kept picking it back up. If anyone has suggestions on which book I should read next, I'd love to hear it!! I am looking forward to read books by this author.
oh so loved it great writing as always. I'm never disappointed with eve Carter s books. I love how the characters always come to life and there are always twists to the books and always happy ends.
This book exceeds the previous two. Excellent story line and rounding out of each character. Aedyn and Lauren inspire for the star crossed lovers in us all.
