As coven master Piers Dayton sits vigil, novice witch Hailey Deveraux lies still as death. Lost to him after being tainted with demon’s blood, her spirit wanders in a nether world she can’t escape. To Hailey her existence has become a solitary wander through an empty Castle coven. Memories tease her but never return. Doors open but lead nowhere...

Though Piers refuses to give up hope and tries in vain to bring Major Kieran McCallen to Hailey’s side, a different aid arrives. Stepping out of legend and time, Liona di Orsini appears at the Castle. With an elegant beauty and distant gaze that Piers has only seen in the oldest of Wiccans, Liona has come to witness the turning of history. Her prophetic visions have led her to the Castle, and now to Hailey’s bed...

As Liona weaves the telling of her tale with Hailey’s own, she finds that she and the guileless, young beauty may share more than just great power. Brought together at a nexus beyond which Liona can’t see, the pair forge a bond drawn from love, passion, and pleasure...

Hazel and her husband stopped being separate people years ago. They live their happy life in the always crowded, mostly sunny, and sometimes sweltering city of LA. Though they haven’t managed it yet, plans are afoot to add a kitty to the household, thereby giving the allergist fits.

Hazel has been writing full-time for several years, with some traditionally published work in other genres. But it’s her indie-published romance that fuels the creative fire. It turns out writing isn’t a job, it’s an obsession.

When you can pry Hazel’s fingers from the laptop, you’ll find her: on the elliptical watching a documentary, indulging her audiobook habit, or spending quality time with Candy Crush. Although she’s vegan, she’s a disaster in the kitchen. Luckily, potato chips and pinot noir come ready-made.

This is book three of the "Castle Coven" series. Hailey has been possesed and even though Piers tries, Major Keiran does not come to her aid. Another shows up though, it's Liona. Remember from book one, if you've been keeping up with the series, Hailey had picked up a book about her and there were quite a few things they had in common with each other. Be forewarned there is some f/f touching and kissing, but nothing outlandish. Liona holds Hailey's physical for while she tells her stories. Listening closely to her tale many of the pieces of the puzzle are coming together yet more questions are left unanswered. The storyline continues to keep the reader engaged and enthralled.

I liked this book because it reveals the back-story on how or shall I say why the Magnus Corps was formed. Hailey is actually really growing as a character and I am liking her a bit more. The series is still frustrating because of the evasiveness of what is becoming of the other characters, but my hopes is that all will be revealed in the following books.

And the plot thickens...

‘Healed,’ was an intriguing read! While Hailey’s life hangs in the balance between life and death, Piers has to make a tough decision... and soon receives an unexpected guest.

I LOVED everything about this book. It was so much less about Hailey, Kieran and Piers and ALL about Liona di Orsini. What an incredible woman with an incredible story. But I guess when you’re immortal and have lived the lifetimes she has, all her stories would be incredible! The girl on girl scenes were pretty hot too ;)

I actually liked this book because of the backstory on how the Magnus Corps was created/formed. Detailed who Liona was because Hailey did pick up a book about her in book 1. They are both similar in some ways. I have to warn though that it includes some f/f touching and kissing. Its totally not my thing so color me surprised when thats what happened. It wasnt full on or anything but enough to make me uncomfortable for a bit. There aren't warnings in the blurb which there should be. Didnt take too much away from the story. I did wonder though if something would happen between the two because Liona did hold her while she was in her infirmary bed while healing and telling her story. Anyways, we learn quite a bit and I hope we learn what happened to Lucian. Thats actually really sad. What about Gauis...whats happened to him? I hope Hailey doesnt suffer the same fate. She's actually really growing as a character and I am liking her a bit more. I was on shaky ground with her in book 1 and part of 2. When I read this I was like why are we even listening to this woman tell her story? Then by the end of it...it dawns on me. Hopefully all who read it will understand it too. :) On to book 4.

This part of the series started out with Hailey still being in a magical type coma and no way for Piers to help her but he is still trying to get ahold of Kieran. Out of the blue a woman shows up at the coven by the name of Lions di Orsini. She said she could help Hailey.

What a great story the author adds as back storyline on this book. We find out how both the coven and the Magus corps. Started. Awesome

There was so girl on girl stuff going on and that's not really my thing but only a small part. Other wise it was a great read and a great add to the series. I can't wait to see what Hazel has next in the series.

Book given for an honest review.

Now this book is by far my favorite thus far in the series. Liona, whom they have thought perished years ago, or shall I say centuries, comes to the aid of Hailey and tells her story, which actually correlates to her very own. Must continue to read the series to find out what happens. Off to the next chapter of the series.

While Hailey is recuperating from her demon attack, she is nursed by Leona di Orsini. Leona is a seer who has lived for millennia. She relates her life story to Hailey. This is not as captivating as the other books but is still enjoyable.

Peek into the past

We get to meet an ancient and discover the origins of the corps and the idea for the Castle. History seems to be replaying itself . Darn it Kieran is back.
