Millie is a nine year old girl who loves the past. She reads books about the Victorian age, and finds them very romantic. Millie's Nana is the opposite, she has pink hair with pink leggings to match. However Nana and Millie get on very well and often go shopping together.
One day, Millie sees a beautiful, old, Victorian carousel for sale in a toyshop, she falls in love with it. However, it is very expensive and neither Millie nor Nana have enough money to buy it.
That night, Millie lies in her room thinking about the beautiful carousel, when a girl, her own age, bursts into the room, telling Millie that she has been sent to fetch her.
This is Flo, who takes Millie on a journey into the past......
