A quick read but an enjoyable one. I just wish the story was longer.
Alpha who find their mates plus a little conflict between alphas along the way.

The quality and smoothness of Anya Nowlan's writing shows off her talent as a truly gifted author. She lures the reader into a PASSIONATE
memorable story with vivid descriptions that demand a reader's attention, leaving them wanting more.
The characters in this story are impressive and engaging: Teresa: a brown-eyed, curvy, intelligent, feisty, teacher/photographer, beautiful human; Slate: golden-hazel eyes, sexier than Captain America, a voice that could melt ice, astute, powerful, pilot, Alpha Siberian weretiger.
Teresa and Slate have been texting back and forth on the Sassy Dating app (a dating service for humans & shifters) for months. Slate invites Teresa to Idaho to go up in the mountains, photograph the scenery and get to know each other better, strictly on a companionship basis. Though she is anxious about spending time alone with a stranger she accepts his offer. Slate is going through what is known as a Bonding heat in weretigers-during this time the call to mate a weretigeress is very strong. If the weretiger does not mate during this time he will never have cubs leaving him without an heir. Slate moved to Shifter Grove (a town where humans/shifters coexist in cohesive environment) to get away from his clan's archaic rules. He wants a forever love, not just a body to carry his cubs. When Slate meets Teresa he and his tiger ROAR MATE-As the story unfolds Slate's feelings deepen for Teresa, but thoughts of the clan still linger in his mind. (no cliffhanger)

Another great read by a very talented story teller. I received a copy of this book in exchange for a honest review.
I really enjoyed reading this story and felt the chemistry between the two right off. The heroine is a teacher and photographer hobbyist. The hero flies planes and is mapping the uncharted peaks in Idaho. They meet online through a dating site called Sassydates. Slate invites Teresa to join him during her vacation to photograph the peaks. When she first arrives in Idaho Slate is immediately drawn to her but he had promised her that he would be a gentleman. She is also drawn to him right away but does not get up the nerve to do anything about it right away.
Slade is a tiger shifter and he is going through a period in his life called the bonding. I think this is suppose to be the equivalent of the female shifters heat. But, if he does not mate by the end of this period he will not be able to have children. His father expects him to pick a female weretiger and become Alpha of the Pride but Slate does not want to do things the old way and have someone choose for him. He wants to be able to have true love.
Slate knows that Teresa is his true mate but is afraid she will reject and leave him once she knows about the bonding. Teresa wants a family and true love but does not know how Slate feels.
When they finally get on the same page Slate is still edgy and holding back because he doesn't know her reaction and he senses danger from the very beginning.
I will stop at this point because I do not want to give away too much. But I will say that there are no cliffhangers and there is a hea. I enjoyed this story and cannot wait for the next one. I highly recommend this author to anyone who loves shifter romance books.

**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review**Teresa is a substitute teacher, bent out of shape but her inability to open up small minds in the small towns she’s surrounded with. She really longs to have a husband and a bunch of kids and make some sort of difference with community children. Along the way, she’s joined SassyDate a dating app that matches shifters with women willing to accept them. She’s been communicating with Slate, a Bengal tiger that lives in Idaho and wants her to vacation with him in the mountains to help him take pictures of the area. He’s currently the only bright spot in her life, so she agrees after having another bad day. When Slate finally sees Teresa for the first time, he knows she’s the one for him. The problem is she’s a human and he’s entered his Bonding phase, which means he should be mating with another tiger, but his body, heart and mind only want Teresa.This was probably my favorite in the SassyDate series so far. Even though it was short and sweet, it really didn’t feel rushed. It was a full story and the author put in the right details that the relationship and feelings didn’t feel fake. Slate risking the inability to have children to make sure Teresa knew what she was getting into and not forcing her made him a favorite for me. I liked Teresa’s determination to try to make a difference while living in a state that’s still way behind made her instantly likable. I highly recommend this book and this series for anyone that likes quick full stories about a burgeoning group of shifters trying to build their own community.

When the two meet up on SassyDate the instantly hit it off and Slate invites Teresa on a 2 week vacation but when they meet Slate knows he found his mate.
Only now that his Bonding, the time where he must find a mate or risk being without love forever, is close at hand does the tiger Alpha wonder if he isn't missing something more in life. And what if who he is missing is a sweet, sassy woman with curves that would turn any shifter wild? Roar for Her: is Sassy Shifter Brides Book 4 by Anya Nowlan. It is the story of Slate Morenkov and Teresa Lopez. Teresa is a kindergarten teacher and a photographer by hobby with dreams of making the world a better place by starting with the children. Slate is a Alpha Siberian weretiger that he runs the only airline into Shifter Grove. The two of them meet on Sassy Brides and agree to a platonic joint adventure to map uncharted peaks in the Idaho mountains.
I really liked the characters in this book. Teresa is sassy, smart and tough. Slate is sexy, protective, strong and totally alpha. I loved the whole Bonding heat part of the story. I wish this could have been a full length book so that more could have been written about it. This book is a romantic, fun, sweet read and I recommend it to anyone looking for a good book to read. And check out the other books in the series as well. Each book is a stand alone book.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Roar For Her is book four of the Sassy Shifter Brides series and in my opinion, just a bit lighter in tone than the first three. I think I was ready for it, though, and thoroughly enjoyed it! For me, it had more “awwwwwwwwwww” in it than the others (but trust that I loved them, too!)
Teresa registers on SassyDate.com , the shifter/human dating site that is the thread for all this series, and has corresponded with Slate, from Shifters Grove in Idaho. Their connection is immediate and the story is about Slate’s inner struggles and his mating cycle, Teresa’s inner struggles with her past, and just life in general. These two are made for one another and I just loved the visuals I formed in my head from Ms. Nowlan’s writing.

Now she is getting away from a break to help photograph the mountain area with Slade. Slade is coming into the male version of the mating heat and if he does not find a mate he will not be able to have any cubs. Teresa and Slade feel the attraction but will it be enough to see them through things.
I love the Sassy Shifter Brides stories. The characters are just everyday people in how they are depicted. The story lines are always smooth flowing from start to finish.

Teresa wants more out of life. Stuck in a rat race looking for that good teaching job. A place where she is accepted and respected for her skills. Mississippi does not offer any of these things for her. She starts talking to a guy from SassyDate. Shifter Grove is a town that shifters of all kinds can just be who they are. They do not have to follow in the steps of their families traditions. However, Slate is finding in harder and harder to fight his Bonding that happens once in a lifetime for Weretigers. On a whim he invites Teresa to join him on an adventure to capture pictures of some beautiful mountains. Giving everything she has she jumps at the chance. Two weeks, one sexy human female and one sexy, on the verge of exploding Tiger equals some VERY HOT MATING! Anya Nowlan does a great job of capturing her audience and creating a wonderful story. I have been enjoying her work for a while now.

"Roar for Her" by Anya Nowlan, is a fast paced, fun, furry tale of tiger shifter Slate and his newly found human mate Teresa. Slate is a tiger from a royal blood line who has decided to go against his ancestral path of choosing his mate and has decided to find someone who will love him for him and not his bloodline. He meets Teresa through a dating app and they decide to spend a week together in the Idaho wilderness. This book is Book 4 in this series. It mentions others from the other prior and upcoming stories, but does not make the reader feel that there is information missing from not reading the previous stories. I am rating this book a 5 fangs. I felt that it was fast paced had just enough spice and the characters were likeable. Overall this story has prompted me to probably go back and read the previous books and look forward to future stories in this series.

Controlled Urges
Slate and Teresa's short story was good. Siberian Tiger Shifter who is a pilot...loved his back story. Teresa a nice teacher.
What I found that I like is that each shifter has their own rituals that they have fled from. They all want a different life for themselves...This is why they are creating Shifter Grove. What I disliked is that these short stories are no more than seven or eight chapters long with an epilogue. They all end at around 80%. These stories could have been so much more attractive...the premise was there, but not fully developed. That was too bad. I have read some of these author's newer books and they are so much better and longer...also well developed. Because I liked those so much I have gone back to her earlier work, but so far have not been thrilled. I am hoping to continue to read these series to see when they get better.

New book in the Sassy Shifter Series. Teresa is a substitution teacher in Mississippi and has had it with the racism that she has to face on a daily basis so she decides to go see, Slate, the weretiger shifter she has been talking to online. The pair are instantly attracted to each other, but hold back for their own reasons. When the attraction becomes hard to contain their coming together is hot, but Slade refuses to go all the way because of a secret he holds close to his heart about his mating cycle. When his brother shows up with someone his father wants him to mate he must tell Teresa the truth. Will they overcome this new obstacle and become a mated couple! This is a standalone with a HEA.

I have been enjoying the books in the Sassy Brides series right from the beginning and this one is no exception. I love how Teresa makes Slate forget about trying to protect her from his family..... and then goes on to will do anything to keep her with him. I also love how Teresa was not made into a female that just curls up and lets the male protect her.....she was strong enough to stand up to his family on her own and make sure they were not going to stop her from being with Slate. I can't wait for the next book in this series even though these are all stand alone books that do not require you to read in order or even any of the others to keep up. This is a great series and I can't recommend them highly enough!

We return to Shifter Grove where weretiger Slate is about to meet his match in Theresa. Slate is bucking clan tradition and is doing his best to man up through his mating heat. He believes if he has a companion he can make it. Theresa has been corresponding with him through Sassy Dates for awhile and takes him up on his offer to do her first love of photography. There is one problem Slate senses danger as soon as their adventure starts. On top of that Slate fights his instant attraction to Theresa. This story was a great fast, enjoyable read. It had the heat and connection I look for. I really liked the epilogue because we get to see the possibility of the happy future.

I just lived this one, since I couldn't wait for him to find his mate too! I want all of them to!! When it comes to shifters, nothing beats one who is tall, a gentlemen when they need to be, and a tough as nails protector when they feel the need! Never doubt that a shifter is all alpha male when they are taking care of business no matter what it is. In this book, our hero needs to make a tough decision, as does the heroine. Will the answers to it lead them closer together, or rip them apart? Very much worth reading as are all of Anya Nowlan's books.

Teresa wants to make the world a better place for everyone. She stuck as a substitute where the the teacher is out two - three days a week with a hang over. Thers a child in the class that keeps bullying another and their teacher doesn't step in an help the child.
Slates bonding is getting strong and soon if he doesn't find a mate he will not be able to have one. His clan wants him back but he doesn't want to foll the old ways he wants love an not a loveless mating. Will he be able to do it his way or will he have to go back to the clan?

Teresa is a kindergarten teacher who loves children and wants to make a difference in their lives. Slate is a weretiger who refuses to allow the clan traditions to run his life. Both signed on to a dating service Sassy Dates and were paired together. An offer that interests both of them comes up and it might just be what they need to finally meet each other. This is a sweet entertaining read. Enjoy I did.

Fun, quick read. Spicy and delicious. I enjoyed Teresa and Slate. Storyline captures you immediately. I liked how protective Slate was and how he knew what was right for him. I would be interested in follow-ups that delve into the future of this story. Likeable characters that are imaginative yet realitic enough to think that this shifter world just might exist. How this couple meets is cute and very current.

I absolutely loved this book!!! A tiger shifter looking for love!! Isn't that what we all wish for? We are looking for love and acceptance. A certain someone that will love us no matter what! Ms. Nowlan proves that with this book. What a book it is! Anyone who loves a bit of a mystery and lots of romance will love this book. Thank you, Ms. Nowlan, for a very enjoyable read!!!

I received this ARC for a honest review. Teresa was unhappy always just being a temporary teacher. She wanted to really be able to help and watch the student grow. Slade was unhappy following the old ways of his family of tigers. But they meet and vacation together. But the question is can they be more than just friends? I highly recommend this. It is a sweet read.

Shifter standalone book in series
Kindle Unlimited read. My favorite Alpha Shifter in this series so far! She's a giving soul who wants to help kids and take photos. This was a rather sassy story but fit in rather well with the books to the rest of the series. Was a bumpy range of emotions but it flowed smoothly even with the hint of looming threat around the corner.

I absolutely loved this book. I was given an ARC copy and I have to say it was worth it. I love the Sassy Bride series and this is such a welcome addition. I look forward to every story! I would suggest this series to any reader who loves fun and sexy in all their books.

Another book by Anya Nowlan. Loved the book so much I couldn't put it down once I started. Shifters like Slate are amazing and very loyal to their mate.
