I was silent for a moment. I looked at them, at the contract, and back at them. Then I calmly put the papers back on the table. I looked at the three of them and slowly rose from my seat.
"So what you're telling me," I said, my voice raising, "is that you got me to meet up with you in Starbucks probably ruining the rest of my senior year and maybe my life, just to make a contract with me because of your lewd desires?" I exclaimed.
Bennett blinked. "Lewd?"
Jordan looked at Declan. "What's lewd? Is that a kind of food?"
Naomi Lorraine, more commonly known as Nerdy Naomi with her thick rimmed glasses and straight-A report card, is the most unpopular girl in her school. And even with the help of her sarcastic comebacks and the ability to give a good punch, that doesn't stop her from getting bullied by everyone in Dartwell High. Every day her childhood bully, Raymond Meyers, knocks her off her feet, literally. And she can't do anything but survive the laughs, insults, and bruises high school gives her.
The Three Musketeers are the baddest boys in her school: Bennett Frazier, Jordan Wallace, and Declan Lynch. All in one day, Naomi catches their attention one by one. With the girl's snarky attitude, but innocent look, they can't help but want her. But not the way you're thinking. On no, not like that. Instead, it's probably the whole opposite.
I LITERALLY PASSED BY THIS BOOK ON WATTPAD ABOUT FOUR TIMES BEFORE I DECIDED TO READ IT.
I feel so bad now. If I had known how awesome this book was going to be, I would have read it the first time I passed by it. It's just that the description gave me the idea that Naomi was going to have to choose between three guys and I had just gotten back from reading Be(lie)ve Me, I'm Lying (If you know this book I love you) and I didn't want to be torn again between which guy I liked more.
I was so wrong.
The author literally named the book and made the description just to mess with us. Man, this book was the total opposite of what I thought it was going to be about.
The book was basically about this girl Naomi who gets bullied by a lot of people in her school. She then makes friends with the three "scariests" guys in the school who just transferred in. The best part of the story is that it is more funny and happy than most other stories I've read even thought it is about bullying. Also, the fact that the girl doesn't seem interested in any of the three guys and the guys do seem a bit interested in her kind of started this shipping of Naomi with the three guys, and I think that shipping two people together is more exciting than their relationship becoming canon.
When the book finished I felt like I had died alive, and I'll tell you, it was nearly impossible to find another book in Wattpad when I had this book to compare it with. This book made me cry, laugh, and also made me wish I had some guy friends. I will wait for the sequel, even if I have to wait my whole life before it finally comes out.
Wow. I told my sister the book was about bullying and she stared at me as if I was demented and asked: If it's about something as serious as bullying, why are you crying laughing ? The characters' sarcasm, sense of humor and personality crack me up in every single chapter of this masterpiece (except the sad chapters of course). The main character is a strong, independent and sarcastic which obviously makes the reader adore her. However in some parts, she is weak but that didn't change my opinion on her because she is human, everyone has their down moments. While reading this prestigious book, I kept tabling about how impossible it was to make up so many hilarious puns, the author of the good girls bad boys is truly a pun master. I also kept thinking about how this novel opened my eyes to the life of victims of bullying and the bullies themselves, it showed my how a friendship can save a life and how to stay strong and keep your head high in such horrible situations. Even though the ending is a nasty cliffhanger that the author leaves you in, I respect her because he or she had the guts to write this book and open up to her mother and the millions of readers about how her book was a little it inspired by her own life. That made me tear up and appreciate the book even more then I already did. As she often says in the novel, bullying will never stop. If you manage to escape from it's cold, hard grip, the bully will just move on to someone else and so on. But that is not the point of the book, its message is that you just need to SURVIVE.
P.S: This book is one that you can find on wattpad but that shouldn't change the way you see it. Yes, there are a lot of absolutely revolting graphic fanfictons out there but some wattpad books, including this one, are published, successful and just amazing. It was frankly an emotional roller coaster the whole entire ride and I definitely do not regret stumbling upon it.
I'm not going to lie. I was pretty shocked to see this book on here. This book might bring you in tears. It brought me in years because of how real this book really is. Naomi gets bullied every single day for eleven years. I loved this book because when 3 transfer students meet her at different places at different times, Jordan, Bennett, and Declan had faith in her no matter how rude she was. They don't give up on her no matter what. I recommend this book 1000/10. You can read it on an app called Wattpad. And you won't regret it.
I loved this book, so much. I literally freaked out so much while reading it. I love the boys, and I love her. And I love the Starbucks contract. And I love Article 15 section 5.
And I love Charlie's Angels. Most importantly, I love the Three Musketeers.
I hate having to wait till June for the sequel. Rubix is pure evil to leave us with that cliffhanger and that chapter sneak peek.
This book made me realize a lot of things, like how you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. It really gets into bullying and it helps you understand both sides. The Good, The Bad, And The Bullied really helped me grow as a person and see the good in everyone.
"Instead I have myself to comfort, I have myself to stand up for me, I have myself," -from a page i forget. But the main character's struggle with being bullied and being alone, and only having herself really stuck with me. I realized I needed to help everyone, not just my friends.
This was a book i could not put down and i am very excited for Rubix Cube's next addition. I know it will be just as amazing and entrancing as this book.
So I never write reviews, but for this book I had too. I have read a lot of books on wattpad, some of them OK, some of them good, and some of them quite bad. This book was one of the few that I think are good enough to be published. I don't think I have ever laughed at a book so much before, I don't think I've ever laughed at a film so much before even. I couldn't put this book down, I stayed up through the night reading it until I eventually fell asleep with my phone in my hand. Sure there are some improvements to be made with grammar etc, but this book really has something special. READ IT!!
To say that I his book had my emotions going haywire would be an understatement. I could always relate to Naomi and even when I fall as though she was being very stupid, naive or oblivious, I could still relate, I mean who hasn't had those moments. All the guys (the musketeers) are so sweet but in my opinion.... DECOMI is my ship. Declan and Naomi are just too cute, sorry Bencomi and jordomi shippers but that's my opinion. He's a different person when he's alone with here. Very sweet read and really relatable. Cannot wait for the sequel. I need to know what happens!!!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
nobody understands the bond between a girl and the mediocre book she read when she was 13 but i don’t recommend reading that book you read when you were 13 cause honestly that girl was so ducking weird man and had no friends.. if i read one more “i am not like other girls cause i eat burger and pizza” or “how are you gonna make me?” I am gonna take my eyeballs out wash them in Clorox.. i would rather be stabbed in the heart 15 times than hear her talk about how she is so unpopular.. but i love you jordan bbg this is not for you 💖
THIS IS MY FAVOURITE BOOK EVER! It's even better than published books! Believe me! It's sooo funny that you're gonna laugh so much and it's gonna make you happy It's also sad and you're probably gonna cry in some parts(like I did) It's the amazing story about friends and bullying. It's just AWESOME I can't wait for the end of summer 2016!
found this story on Wattpad. This was such a cute storyline, I was cringing/crying & sad on some of the bullying situations however the friendship between the main characters was just great. I love the little twist (gangs) and looking forward to reading the next book. Cant wait to get to know Domi and hope Naomi ends up with Bennett! lol.
I really loved how the author showed bullying and its effects, and the best thing about is; it was never in a dramatic way,in fact the books was hilarious. one thing I didn't like is the book's pace; most times the book was slow.
This was so promising and it sounded so good! But I don't get half of what is going on. Not how the guys behave, not how she behaves. I am one big question mark over here.
This book is one of my very first proper wattpad story that I've read. Till' today, still one of my number one favorites.
What I love about it is the fact that this is anti cliche. Like seriously, super anti cliche. (not that I hate cliche, I just like surprises) I LOVED the humor in this book. I can't help but smile and laugh by myself when it happens.
I loved the fact that the Rubix, the author, wrote a lot for just a chapter compared to some other stories. She gives each of the characters their own special personality and tells us about each of their weaknesses.
There are morals you can take from this book as well. It tells a story about fighting against bullying. Along the way, Naomi has love interest(s). obviously
If you are thinking of reading this, think no more. Cause you should definitely be reading this right now. Here's the link that you definitely should click on: https://www.wattpad.com/story/6803348...
If you are currently reading this, or you have finished it. I want you to know that Jordan IS MINE. (just kidding..., but really he's awesome. Bennett and Declan too.)
For a Wattpad book, it is truly one of the best and will go down as a Wattpad classic. Iconic main characters, best boy trio with a girl best friend troupe. Each of them had their own charm and character development. This book is near and dear to my heart and cannot be praised enough with just words—so go find out yourself and read it! However, I think this book can only be enjoyed at a certain age group (younger than 16) as when I tried rereading it, it definitely had the “Wattpad feel” to it which I’m not quite used to anymore. Still an amazing book that everyone should have at least read once in their life. Rubix is a sick writer. (And the fan-made trailer for this was so good too!)
I cannot specifically remember when I read this but just know even up to this day I hold the characters (especially Bennett) close to my heart.
I have a terrible memory but this book has had such a lasting impact, I will never forget how much I loved reading this nor the many conversations this story fuelled between my friend and I!
The Good, The Bad, and The Bullied, a book filled with drama and my tears. By the title, you can probably tell that bullying will be a topic. Honestly, I thought that all the book was going to be about was bullying, but there was so much more to it. There were fighting scenes, mysteries to solve throughout the book, and friendships made through hard situations. The genre of this book is drama and humor because of all the heartbreaking scenes that are then followed by a joke made by one of the boys. The book is always bringing tears to your eyes because you can really feel the pain Naomi is feeling when she is being bullied. The author adds some mystery to the book always has the wheels turning in your head. There is humor in the book through the dialogue and how the three main boys interact. The book even starts with the main character, Naomi, being tripped in the hallways and then being laughed and mocked at. The other main characters, Bennett, Jordan, and Declan, also known as ‘the three musketeers’, are new students to the school and target out Naomi to be their ‘Friend’.They slip her a note saying,“Meet us at Starbucks tomorrow at noon. - The Three Musketeers” (Cube 1).Naomi later finds out the boys want to start a contract with her to be her protectors from the bullies. You would think that with three boys becoming friends with a girl there would be at least some romance, but there isn't. I love that the book shows that a girl can be friends with a group of boys and not have a romantic relationship with one of them. In the book, there is a serious issue brought up and nothing is sugar coated for the audience. Naomi has been bullied for her whole school career, taking hit after hit each day. The author uses foils to show how bad Naomi's bullies are and how good she and the boys are. Naomi may not be the sweetest angel but compared to the ones bullying her she is one. The Author also includes character vs self as Naomi has the internal battle with herself to keep taking it or not. She uses the thoughts in Naomi's head to her outward actions to show that she doesn’t know what to do herself. Another thing in the books is a lot of imagery, giving great details so you can really picture what is happening during these bully segments. For example every morning the bus driver leave Naomi behind, “It’s Nerdy Naomi, Naomi Lorraine, Running for the bus, on the lane, look how she runs, down the street, too bad the bus is too hard to beat. I didn’t have the energy to waste to roll my eyes. Great, They started singing it. The stupid little rhyme some kid made up on the bus.” (Cube 6). I can feel the pain of even a teacher(bus driver) subjecting you to the ‘loser’ title. The structure of the book is very fast paced, each chapter is usually short and to the point, with a lot of dialogue. There are very few big words, but that doesn't affect how intellectual the book sounds. The dialogue is used to develop all the characters and their own individual personality. As for who I would recommend this book to, everyone would be my suggestion. It goes into problems that all ages should become aware of. Another great thing about this book is even though it can get very serious there is always something fun to follow and break the ice. There are things that can bring you back to when you were a kid or give you things to look forward to in high school when having great friends. I do not have anything bad to say about this book.
Ok so you know when you have the feeling that this story is not really your type but you still read because everyones hypes you up about how good it is and how amazing it is and then you realise that you don't like it and that you were right all along, well that's what happened . The aim of this book is very honorable and the protagonist is a very strong woman which i found very good. Some characters(1 character) are funny and it's the only reason why i didnt stop right away. But while this looks enough to start the book, there isn't to continue. It's long! The story doesn't evolve, there is no big thing happening, no surprising, no heartfelt moment(although the autor tried) it's just a bunch of kids doing stuff, it gets boring even if its funny, the protagonist is strong but that's all she has and also there is a lot of incoherence. Now i also believe it's mostly because it is not my type and maybe one day i will try to read it again but for now i just think its not worth it enough even if the writing is quite good.
This was hilarious. I laughed out loud at a lot of the jokes, puns, and references.
In all seriousness, there's a good message behind this book. The truth hurts: bullying is never going to stop. The author did say that all the bullying and inaction from parents and teachers in this book was exaggerated, but what she really got across was the message that you will survive.
It's very inspiring. A good story about friendship, relationships that aren't meant to be, and most of all, standing up for yourself and not being scared to ask for (or accept) other people's help.
