*4 MAFIA STARS*
Whew, this was a ride!
This is the third book in the Empire of Sin series, but it's the first Bella Ray book for me, and while I was immersed in the world quite quickly, I would definitely recommend reading this series in order. I do feel like I was missing some background story and things happening in the previous books, but overall I still had a great time.
I adored both Beccs and Alessio. Beccs was a badass bitch and Alessio a big overprotective softie (to Beccs at least) and I loved the banter they had going on. The spice was very nice as well. While I expected a little more suspense at the end, I was still satisfied with their HEA.
There were some things I did not see coming, especially the whole storyline with Rachel did NOT end up the way I thought it would. There's definitely another story there!
I will definitely be reading the other books in the series at one point.

Bella, Bella, what are you doing to me?!
This is another fantastic book that I enjoyed and won me over from the very beginning. Beccs is an independent, smart and capable girl who has an unusual occupation and who at the same time is looking for her sister. When she receives a call that she needs to fix a car that has stopped in some hellhole, she never dreams that she will meet the arrogant and too handsome Alessio, Mob boss.
There was instant chemistry between them, but Beccs is determined to put Alessio in his place and never see him again. But the universe has other plans and their journey is filled with uncertainty, fear, violence, ...
Basically, if you like dark/mafia stories with tough but irresistible male characters, then this story is just for you and I believe you will enjoy it.
It has all the best recommendations from me and I can't wait for the next installments.

Vicious Sinner is the third book in the Empire of Sin series by this author. It's a dark mafia romance with themes and content that may be upsetting for some readers, so I would recommend reading the trigger warnings.
This book follows Alessio and Beccs, and fairly early in the story, I found that there was something about both characters that made me feel connected to them.
With Alessio, I felt there was something deeper and more vulnerable behind the bad boy exterior; something that he didn't share with many people.
Reading Beccs' narrative, I connected with her emotional pain and need to find out the truth about her sister, as well as her sassiness.
The chemistry between them was so natural, and they made me smile. I was also pleased to see references to the previous books, and specific characters, because that felt a little bit like coming home. If you haven't read any of the previous books though, you can still enjoy this as a standalone. If you love a morally grey MMC who will burn the world for the woman he loves, add this one to your TBR.

5 Stars! Book 3 in the ‘Empire of Sin’ series and can be read as a standalone. A few parts had me a bit confused but not enough for me to say it’s not a standalone since they were just inconsequential tidbits. The main characters are Beccs and Alessio. I liked both of them. She’s a tough, take no poo from anyone & is trying to find her missing sister. He’s an arrogant mafia man who is morally a bit gray. Still found them adorable & a good match. A few sexy times scenes that had me blushing! If you don’t mind a possessive, anti-hero main male character and you like strong women who stand up for themselves, this is a great book for you! Does shine a light on human trafficking, rape, torture and murder. There were plenty of cute & flirty moments that had me smiling while reading. The sexual chemistry and attraction was high from the start. Plenty of drama, mystery, and danger that gets wrapped up nicely with an HEA ending. The missing sister parts had me ticked off, you’ll know what I mean if you read it. Totally worth reading. I was engrossed and entertained through the whole book and I would definitely read this authors works again!

And we've reached the third book, this time with Alessio and Beccs as the protagonists, and these two were a constant eruption of passion, from the moment their paths first crossed it was clear there was something between them. Their glances spoke volumes, and although they each went their separate ways afterward, they both carried that memory with them until fate decided to bring them face to face once again.
Both carry wounds from the past and questions that still need answers, situations that, somehow, lead them to cross paths time and time again. Alessio was captivated from the first moment by the strong and independent woman that is Beccs, while Beccs well let's just say her body clearly craved Alessio's touch and we can't blame her.
But behind that attraction, there's much more both carry immense pain, Beccs carries the burden of losing her sister, whom she has never stopped searching for and for whom she still holds onto the hope that she is alive. Alessio, for his part has suffered abandonment in the past and as a consequence built enormous walls around his heart to avoid being hurt again, even so he was fortunate enough to find a family in his friends people who ended up becoming a fundamental part of his life.
When Alessio and Beccs realize that working together could be the best way to get the answers they so desperately need, they begin to devise a plan. However, the attraction that has existed between them since their first encounters is there waiting for the perfect moment to surface.
Alessio manages to see beyond the strong woman Beccs presents to the world, he sees the woman who is wounded inside, the one who also needs to feel loved and protected. And Beccs, for her part, manages to see the real Alessio the boy who suffered greatly from abandonment, the man who learned to protect his heart by building walls and preventing anyone from entering so as not to feel that pain again.
They both share a great deal of pain but they also begin to realize that their hearts seem to have made a decision before they did. Together, they can heal the wounds of the past, they can learn to trust each other and little by little discover that they don't have to face everything alone.
Alessio's need to keep Beccs protected mainly due to his constant fear of losing her, filled Beccs with warmth, although it also caused her more than a few headaches. Because yes, Alessio often wanted to keep her in a veritable glass box but, honestly how could she not understand after everything she's been through?
As they both get closer to the truth, dangers also begin to surround them, secrets from the past gradually come to light and they both have to face situations that definitely don't make things easy, however they also learn something very important: to trust each other.
Beccs proves that she can protect herself and that she can also protect Alessio when things get truly critical and Alessio for the first time manages to open up to someone like never before. He trusts Beccs, he trusts that she will be able to protect his heart and above all, he trusts that she won't abandon him.
Beccs's strong personality was precisely one of the things that made Alessio fall in love with her from the start, while his protective nature ended up filling Beccs with a sense of security and confidence that she needed. They both learned to feel protected by each other, but they also understood that protecting doesn't mean controlling and that trusting means letting the other person fight their own battles too.
And fight they did, as they moved toward the truth, dangers kept appearing, secrets from the past were revealed and they both had to face very painful situations. But in the end they managed to overcome every obstacle together, they healed wounds, learned to trust and above all found a safe haven in each other.
Beccs finally found what she'd been searching for, though not in the way she expected and that completely broke my heart I understood the reasons behind the situation with her sister but that didn't make it hurt any less. Fortunately, Alessio was by her side the whole time, proving once again that he wasn't going to let her face it alone, they both managed to survive everything they had to endure and overcome this battle, but we know this isn't the final battle.
I absolutely loved this book, the new secrets that were revealed, the answers that are slowly starting to emerge, the apparent betrayal of someone who seemed to be a friend and that final blow that left us completely shocked… EVERYTHING! The new clues that they're getting closer to taking down the Collector are there and I can't wait to find out what happens next but without a doubt, one of the things I loved most was Alessio and Beccs' development. My boys had to go through so much pain to finally achieve the happiness they fought so hard for and watching them learn to trust, open their hearts and heal together was beautiful.
They won this battle but the journey continues and after that little teaser they left us for the next book I can only say that the wait is going to be very difficult.
Damiano, who has already suffered enough, is now on thin ice and honestly I'm a little scared for him. And as for a certain person whose name starts with N I only have one thing to say to you right now I hate you I sincerely hope you have a good enough reason to earn my forgiveness because I'm quite resentful towards you. But come on, you've given us plenty of reasons to be, so we'll see how you fare in the next book.
For now, all I can do is wait because after everything that happened here I desperately need to know what comes next. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This is absolutely a series I would recommend reading in order because there is so much background and interconnected story that you really need to fully appreciate everything that's happening. It's told in a dual, first-person POV, which I always love because you get both perspectives and can see how differently two people can view the exact same situation.
Beccs might be my favorite FMC so far. She is a total badass, fiercely independent, self-reliant, and incredibly intelligent. All she wants is answers about her missing sister, and she refuses to give up until she gets them. Alessio is your classic overprotective mob boss, but underneath all the power and confidence is someone carrying around a lot of pain from his past. Their banter was amazing and had me laughing so many times throughout the book.
The way these two kept finding their way back to each other felt natural, and I loved watching their relationship develop. Once they decided to work together, they were forced to confront not only the challenges in front of them but also their own baggage and fears. They both saw through each other's walls pretty quickly, and by the end, you could really feel the trust and respect they had built.
The mystery surrounding the missing women, the trafficking ring, and the Collector kept me hooked. Every time I felt like I had things figured out, something else happened that pulled me right back in. I was especially interested in how all the different storylines tied together and continued to build on the bigger series arc.
I was not a fan of the Rachel storyline because of how it ended. I won't spoil anything, but if you've read it, you probably know exactly what I'm talking about.
If you like dark mafia romance, found family vibes, strong heroines, protective heroes, and plenty of suspense, you'll probably love this one. Just be sure to check the content warnings beforehand because this book tackles some very heavy topics.

And somehow, this is a 600-page book with not a single dull moment! Bella doesn’t drag things out just to keep you guessing: she gives you answers, reveals shocking secrets, and then gives you even more to obsess over. Alessio and Beccs were everything! From that first unexpected encounter when his car breaks down and she’s the one who comes to fix it, I knew we were in for something good. They both carry painful pasts: Beccs has spent four years searching for her missing sister, while Alessio is searching for his mother, and somehow their paths lead them to the same place, to each other, and to trying to be a normal couple. This was the story that keeps on giving! It was a long read, but given all the moving parts, I can see why. Now, although long, I did reach for this as often as I could. The plot was plotting and the spice was giving.
Alessio Ricci is a Mafia Capo in Vegas. He, along with his brothers (metaphorically speaking) rule the city. He comes from humble beginnings and has worked his way up. He has never forgotten where he came from, but also knows about sacrifice and hard work. He meets Beccs, the tow truck operator/mechanic who rescues him after his car breaks down on a secluded road. They have an instant connection, but end up going their separate ways. He expects to run into her when his car is returned, but he wasn't so lucky.
Beccs has been focused, tracking down every possible lead in hopes of finding her missing sister. She disappeared 4 years ago and after their troubling upbringing, her father killing her entire family except for Beccs and her sister because of in-service PTSD, so she hasn't stayed in one place too long. She ends up in Alessio's city and they happen to meet at an event. Sparks fly and they both can't get each other out of their systems. One thing leads to another and they end up in a fake-dating contract to keep her safe.

This story is filled with mystery, unknown identities, spice and found family. I didn't read the previous books, although kicking myself for that, but I have to say, the character development, the plot, the spice and overall angst throughout were perfection. I really enjoyed this read and look forward to Damiano's story... sounds absolutely thrilling! Definitely recommend.

One thing I really enjoy about Bella Ray’s books is how she builds up the storyline. She has a way of making you think you know what’s going to happen, and then a twist comes out of nowhere and completely changes things. That is what keeps me glued to her books, and Vicious Sinner was no different.
Beccs has spent years trying to find out what happened to her missing sister, and she isn’t willing to give up until she gets answers. Her search ends up bringing Alessio back into her life, and that’s when things really start getting interesting.
I really liked the mystery surrounding Beccs’ sister because it kept me guessing. When I thought I had something figured out, something else would happen. I also loved Alessio’s possessive and protective side when it came to Beccs. Their chemistry was definitely there, and I enjoyed seeing their relationship develop while everything else was going on around them.
This book has romance, suspense, secrets, betrayal, violence, spice, and some twists I wasn’t expecting. It held my attention from beginning to end, and I kept wanting to read another chapter to find out what would happen next.
Definitely read the trigger warnings before starting, because this book deals with some dark and heavy topics that may be sensitive for some readers.
Overall, Vicious Sinner was an easy 5-star read for me. If you enjoy dark mafia romance, suspense, unexpected twists, spice, and a possessive “touch her and die” type of man, I definitely recommend this one.

What an amazing roller coaster of a story!
I don't think I've ever read a dark mafia romance with so much humor before! This book has all the elements of a mafia romance (yay!) as well as top-tier banter between the two leads. Beccs has a smart mouth, one that Alessio has learned to appreciate. When he gives her the standard "I'm going to protect you and you have no say in the matter" she doesn't just nod and submit, she gives him holy hell in a verbal tirade that makes him rethink all his life's priorities! And I loved every bit of it.
Beccs may look like a damsel in distress, but you'll soon learn she's more of a dragon in a dress. She's got her own agenda, her own hidden skills, and her own suppressed trauma. And she won't sit quietly by while someone fixes her problems.
Alessio has his own hands full figuring out what is going on with his father's biker gang, but finding the enchanting Beccs there was a complication he didn't have time for. Too bad he didn't have a choice. Good thing he learned quick that he's better off working with her than against her. Alessio's thoughts about working with Beccs: "Two days later…… we came to a compromise. Of sorts. I've discovered compromise is just another word for slowly losing an argument."
At first the intensity of their romance threatened to undermine their character development, but once they really started spending time together they found a lot more common ground on which to base their inevitable relationship. Their back and forth with the contact names was so silly it was adorable, and his realization that a life with Beccs is exactly what he'd been fighting for all along was quietly profound.
It's a rare book that can balance all the typical mafia-style problem-solving and macho politics with all the hilarity of a witty rom-com, but somehow this book manages it beautifully. My only regret is that it's book 3 in a series so now I have to find a non-Amazon way to read the first two.

Every time I get a favorite MMC, she writes another book and I start questioning who I really love the most. By the end of the book, I said “WHAAAATT!”
Beccs is looking for her sister but she keeps bumping into this man. Little does she know, he’s a big time mafia boss. He’s brutal, vicious and completely UNHINGED! But Beccs is no damsel in distress either. She decides to ask him for help. And he gets this bright idea to fake date. Beccs is stubborn and lord knows she doesn’t listen! Alessio is possessive and I loved it! The relationship between them two is complicated and has funny moments.
The spice is 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Alessio eats it up! 😉 I loved the intensity. These characters are far from perfect but I think that makes their relationship even more possible.
This is a mafia romance with fake dating, there’s funny banter between the MMC and FMC. It does have an HEA. Bella Ray can write the best mafia books! She makes me question my own sanity sometimes. There are some triggers so be sure to check your trigger warnings!

This is the third book in this series and what a book. Beccs has lost everything after her father shot her mother and brothers, leaving just Beccs and her little sister Rachel alive. Then her sister disappeared four years ago, and since she's spent her life searching trying to find her. Now she's in Vegas still searching for clues, which all end up useless. Then she sees him the same rich spoiled man who's car broke down and he then flew off in a helicopter leaving her to tow it and fix and return it. Typical rich man who expects everyone to bow to him. Well not her. Alessio sees her straightaway. What's she doing here, he thought she was a grease monkey, now shes waitressing at a private function. He knew she was hiding something, now he really does need to find out what. But there's more to it than that, but he doesn't want to think what it is yet. The Collector is still circling them and always one step ahead. Alessio is just trying to keep his Mio Piccola Diavolo safe any way he can. This book really does keep you glued to each turn of the page. Each book can as a standalone but to get the full story they are best read in order. Each character appears throughout the books building a fuller picture. The climatic ending of this book leaves you wondering about Domiano and will they ever truly ever catch the collector. I really can't wait for the next in this series

Vicious Sinner was exactly the kind of dark, intense romance I was in the mood for! This book pulled me in right away and had me hooked all the way through. The chemistry between the characters was intense, and I loved the push and pull between them. There’s definitely a darker edge to the story, but that’s what made it so addictive for me.
The main characters both had their own issues and baggage, and I enjoyed watching their relationship develop despite everything working against them. The attraction between them was impossible to ignore, and the tension kept building with every chapter. I especially loved the moments when the walls started coming down and we got to see the softer sides underneath all that darkness.
There were plenty of twists, drama, possessiveness, and emotional moments to keep things interesting. I found myself constantly wanting to know what was going to happen next, and there were definitely moments where I wanted to yell at the characters to communicate already!
Overall, Vicious Sinner was a dark, steamy, emotional read with plenty of tension and obsession. If you enjoy morally gray characters, complicated relationships, and romances that are anything but simple, this is definitely one to add to your reading list. I enjoyed the ride and would absolutely read more from this author!

This dark mafia romance features intense chemistry and hilarious banter as the couple navigates deadly rivalries and their own electric emotions towards each other.
Beccs is utterly, unapologetically chaotic and is probably one of my favourite heroines to date. The way she infuriated Alessio to no end made this entire book all that more enjoyable. Alessio is this terrifying, cold, calculated mafia boss who is used to everyone trembling in his presence and getting his own way. In walks Beccs, who has Alessio completely enamoured from the first time they lay eyes on each other. Beccs pushes every single one of his buttons, and his slow descent from absolute irritation to complete obsession was hilarious. Their chemistry was off the charts, fuelled entirely by that delicious push-and-pull dynamic and was hot and heavy right from the start. This is a change from the previous books in the series, which were more of a slow-burn.
Beyond the romance, what was also a massive part of the story was the relationship between Beccs and her sister. I thought this was going to be a beautiful reunion of sisters, but boy was I wrong! Beccs finding her missing sister consumed her life for years. All her money, spare time, resources… all for what? Without giving too much away, let’s just say I was VERY disappointed with the outcome of that relationship.
There were so many times throughout this book that I kept saying to myself…. Wow, I did not see that coming! Alessio and Beccs are by far my favourite couple in the Empire of Sin series, and I can't wait to read the final book in the Las Vegas chapter.

This is Book 3 in the Empire of Sin series, as an interconnected standalone. I have read the previous 2 books (& loved them as well!!), but you can jump in at any point... the characters show up in each book, so it's fun to see them & the continuation of each story, if you read the series in order.
I had been waiting for this book!! Since I loved the first 2 books so much, I couldn't wait to read Vicious Sinner and it did NOT disappoint!!! I loved it. I loved the characters... Alessio & Becca/Beccs have instant attraction... and the push & pull of their chemistry & relationship is fun to read.
I also loved the mafia meets biker/MC romance!! It's unique and I really enjoyed it. There were also several unexpected plot twists that I LOVED!!
The book is on the longer side... but it's fast paced & you don't really notice the length. One of the things I appreciate so much about this series is that the books don't lag... it's fast paced all the way through. And I really loved that there is NOT a 3rd act breakup!
One of my favorite things is the names they keep giving each other in their texts... they both rename each other's names/give nicknnames in their phones & the names they come up with are so perfect & hilarious!!

This was my first Bella Ray book, and I absolutely loved it from cover to cover. It does deal with some heavy themes, but they were handled beautifully and are very obvious from the beginning of the book.
Although this is the third book in the series and I haven't read the first two, I never felt lost. The characters were reintroduced with enough information that I could easily follow along, though I'm sure having that background context would make it even better. In fact, I loved this so much that I've already added the first two books to my Kindle for my next reads!

Vicious Sinner was dark, addictive, and exactly the kind of book that makes you say, “Okay, one more chapter,” when you absolutely should be going to bed.
The chemistry and tension were what really kept me reading. This is definitely not a sweet, gentle romance. It leans into the darker side of its characters and relationships, and there were plenty of moments where I was questioning choices while simultaneously needing to know what happened next. Apparently, questionable fictional men remain very good for my reading schedule and terrible for my sleep schedule.
I enjoyed the overall story and the intensity between the characters, although there were a few places where I wanted a little more depth or development, which kept it at four stars for me rather than five.

Personally when I originally read the description for the book I was expecting darker. Don’t get me wrong there is mafia, killings, torture, trafficking and talk of rape so be fully prepared that this book has its dark moments. But when it comes to the two main characters Beccs and Alessio they are much more tame than I originally thought. Beccs finds herself looking for her sister and this brings her into the orbit and attention of mafia boss Alessio who is a violent man with a dark past. They lean on each other throughout the book and learn to care for someone which is great character development for them both. So I’m very neutral with this review I did not love the book but I also enjoyed the writing style and had an easy enough time finishing it overall.

Vicious Sinner delivers an entertaining combination of romance, action, suspense, and tension that kept me engaged throughout the story.
Beccs was a standout character for me. She is a strong, confident, and capable FMC who isn’t afraid to stand her ground. I especially enjoyed seeing her take control of difficult situations and prove that she can hold her own when things get intense.
The chemistry between the main characters was another highlight. Their banter felt natural and added an enjoyable dynamic to their relationship, while the underlying tension kept me invested in their story. The action also added plenty of excitement and helped keep the pacing moving.
Overall, I really enjoyed the balance of romance and action in Vicious Sinner. With a strong FMC, engaging chemistry, entertaining banter, and plenty of suspense, this was an enjoyable read.
Beccs was a standout character for me. She is a strong, confident, and capable FMC who isn’t afraid to stand her ground. I especially enjoyed seeing her take control of difficult situations and prove that she can hold her own when things get intense.
The chemistry between the main characters was another highlight. Their banter felt natural and added an enjoyable dynamic to their relationship, while the underlying tension kept me invested in their story. The action also added plenty of excitement and helped keep the pacing moving.
Overall, I really enjoyed the balance of romance and action in Vicious Sinner. With a strong FMC, engaging chemistry, entertaining banter, and plenty of suspense, this was an enjoyable read.
